He will enjoy this for sure. Keep an eye on the chain. I found mine was either too tight to turn properly or when loosened a little the chain would pop off easily. Maybe time for a new chain.
So my youngest was using the pw50 and was struggling with the weight and the loose ground. Kept falling off and couldn’t lift it up. He jumped onto this and really enjoyed it as it was lighter and easier for him to handle. They have one a little more expensive with an electric starter button. I’d go for this as they could then start it up rather than me running over to pull it. I did find the chain was coming off and I was struggling to get the correct tension without making it too tight. Haven’t used it for several months so hopefully I can get it started.
Can I ask what petrol & oil mix you used for the MXR 50cc please? I have just bought a part from Fun:Bikes, thank you, bike fixed and looking to get out on it this weekend 🙏🏽
They are somewhat stiff yes. The other issue I found last few times we took it out was the chain kept coming off. Like, all the time. I’d adjust the chain slack a little and it would go really tight. Couldn’t seem to find the happy medium. Might be time for a new chain. But the kids haven’t been out on it much so it’s a shame if it is a new chain required.
Sorry Sophie I can't remember and even looking back through the video I can't remind myself. Your best bet would probably be to give FunBikes a phone call. Thanks.
Sorry mate but I couldn’t answer that, he was only about 7 when this was filmed so he wouldn’t of pinned it and I never stuck a phone on him to measure the top speed. Go onto fun bikes website and it will probably have the info on there.
Yes definitely, my youngest is 6 years old and maybe 5 when i made this video. It is similar size to a PW50. They do other side bikes that may fit a 12 yr old, check out their website and see what they have in stock. Thanks. DSR.
Just got this for my 5 year old 1st bike. Can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning

What’s your overall thoughts after some use? Thinking of one for the boy, don’t wanna pay the stupendous price of a pw50

Apologies Jose for not replying sooner, hopefully you found out the right mixture for the bike. Ride safe.
Are the front forks on his bike really stiff? The one Iv got seem stupidly stiff

Where do you connect the breather hose to from the tank?
Just poke the other end down the whole in the centre top yoke.
Where is the track you rode at please?
Westonzoyland is the track, kids track and adults track. You can search them on FB for their info.
Is this to small for a 5ft 12 year old?
