Owner of an M440i GC here, the car is an absolute gem. Comfortable, fast, sporty, gets LOTS of compliments from people. But I will admit that the S5 looks really good.
I have ordered one from the factory in Germany. Due here in late February. Looking forward to receiving it. The numbers you give are not in line with the ones from the dealership. Top speed is 155 mph. The Audi is very nice but I'll stick with the BMW M440i. 😎
I always defer to the Bros, for whom I have great respect. However, I am having difficulty accepting the Bimmer's top speed as 130 mph. I have yet to encounter a 3.0 liter turbo BMW (with close to 400 bhp and 400 lbs ft of torque) with a top speed less than the manufacturers' mutually agreed 155 mph. Also, the 4 Series without X Drive seemed a little heavy. Rear wheel drive BMWs are usually lighter than their X Drive counterparts, are they not?
We appreciate the support! The BMW is 155, not sure why I said otherwise. That's the weight from BMW's website, so those are correct, but it's not a significant difference in weight!
The top speed is set to 130mph only if you spec all season tires. It is configured that way from the factory because that's what the all-season tires BMW chose are rated for. You will not be able to increase the limiter without a tune. So if you absolutely want the 155mph limiter just look for a car that came from the factory with summer/performance tires. This is well documented on bimmerpost, you can search there for more info
The current S5 has saw its time and will forever remain as a true classic for its exterior design (one of the best). However, the German competitors have broken through glass with their innovation and now Audi has to catch up if they want to retain sales. The Audi MMI in the current S5 is pretty stale and boring.
@@BraheimReaves, New A5/S5 is already available in Europe, replaces A4 with odd numbers vehicles being ICE, even numbers EVs. Not sure when redesigned A/S 5 will be here. Also, interior redesigned with new tech and curved screens including one for passenger!
Superb video. I have leased a 2022 S5 and loved it. I was compelled to move over to BMW after reviews of the new S5, which looks incredibly plain on the outside. The interior has some appeal, but there is nothing better than the look of the current S5. I now am leasing a 2025 M440i Gran Coupe and love it just the same. I just wish there was a gear shifter knob as I am a common user of the paddle shifters to reduce brake dust.
@@JoseMartinez-qq2yf I’d rather wear out the brake pads and rinse off the dust then engine brake and put stress on the engine when you have breaks to use. Cost less to replace.
I hate to beat a dead horse, but honestly, I like everything about the looks of the M440 except for the massive kidney grill! Audi is a better ride over the bumps in comfort mode and a bit better for daily driving imo, but the 440i is the slightly faster car for sure if you're after performance!

Glad you enjoy it!
S5 for looks/comfort and liveability (can't stand new iDrive).
M440 for sheer drivetrain and performance
What don't you like with the idrive system?
S5 all day everyday.
Why?
💯

Not sure where I got that number but enjoy it!

You are right. Not sure why he said 130 it is 155.

I thought it seemed low to lol

@@jeffsena9140 yep 👍
might as well get a m340i or m3 rwd and rs3
Just depends on what suits the buyer, all good choices.
The Audi S5 produces 349 horsepower - not 339.
Yeah not sure why I said that.

How does using paddle shifters effect brake dust?
Downshifting instead of constantly hitting the brakes

@@BrosFOURRSpeed I agree for sure
Audi all day everyday
idky if u want a v6 audi, idk y u want a s4 s5 s6 s7 q 7 sq5 , why not get get a rs5 sportback comp bc if u want a daily get a a4 fully loaded one
Not sure what you're saying..
S5 looks better. And M440i is better in everything else
Both are great options!
