Elizabeth is one of the best video game characters ever created! It's so weird but I love her like a sister or friend who needs my help in this game. If a game can make someone care so deeply about an artificial character then it proves something very big and important.

I really loved the work done on creating Liz. I played infinite twice now. A year back and recently. I was constantly feeling for Liz, worrying about her like checking for her presence when I can't find her. And when she got captured I just wanted to save her so badly. I never felt so much for a game character before so I really want to thank and applaud the company that made this possible.
What I loved about the game is how, like Booker, I progressively felt more and more protective of her as the story developed. It's a credit to Irrational Games for making such a well fleshed-out character, it isn't often I get attached to video game characters.
After I beat the game, I almost didnt know what to do with myself....the whole thing was such an emotional experience that it was difficult to walk away from. Elizabeth is by far the best character that I've ever, and likely will, see in a game. Irrational did a really good job and I cant thank them enough for making this masterpiece of a game.
Best NPC by a landslide, the emotion, like they say I never had to wait for her, her useful functions in-game, her interaction with the surroundings like accepting a sugar spin in the arcade how she tells you about the Dimwitt characters you got someone with you. She made me think of Belle from Beauty and the Beast another probably Disney reference was the sentence "a lion should stick with lions not hyaena's" Peter M. THIS is how you make an NPC which u will adore, will care about.
Yeah, however I do like the art they chose for the billboards, etc. Since the gameplay may give the characters a more cartoon-like quality to their features, the content of the game is more adult based, which matches what audience they were marketing for.
I just beat bioshock infinte and near the end of the game there is an area where it really tests your attachment to elizabeth and it made me really mad i was ready to fight and kill everything in the level because of what was happening to elizabeth my need to protect her kicked in. It was a very powerful moment
Just finished playing Bioshock Infinite and I was surprised at how not "an annoying girl who you always have to protect" Elizabeth is and she actually helps on battles
Elizabeth is my favorite character ever! I replayed Bioshock Infinite about 3 times now just because I miss hanging out with Liz; and every time I play Burial at Sea Episode 2 a small part of me dies, (SPOILERS AHEAD) just remembering Elizabeth's death makes me wanna cry
would have been so easy for her to become a nuisance, if she couldnt fend for her self, or she got lost etc. But they developed her perfectly and I felt a genuine emotional attachment to her. An excellent example of how to make an NPC
This is so cool. I would love a more in depth look at her as well. Part of the reason I like Elizabeth as a character, was the VA, but also the emotions and body language wlshe was able to display out of the cutscenes. She felt pretty real. Being able to see what actually went in to creating her and their thought procces behind everything is a treat.
Elizabeth... just Elizabeth alone is revolutionary towards future gaming. Imagine every single npc in a game act as real and spontaneous as her. I fell in love with her the moment I first "met" her. It was so refreshing and inspiring, as if a new world opened up. Because first I was like: alright... a new fps game... And the moment Elizabeth came in, the only things going on in my head from then on were: what's she gonna do now? How will she react to this? ... Just awesome.
I've just finished the game, and I'm totally in love with this character. too bad you can't see Booker as often ,cause I loved him too. And... what a story..... in love again.
I think this is so cool to see how different people put there whole being into making this character, with voice, motion, and design. This video was so interesting
Why couldn't they fly off to Paris and then drown booker when they catch up on each others lives. I can't imagine how booker would act towards his own daughter when they had the choices to do what they wanted. It's sad how he never really got to know her.
yeah i agree. the saddest part of the game was he didn't get to spend time with his daughter once he knew. I would have loved to go to Paris with her. I certainly got attached to this loveable character. So funny to play the game again after a year or so and I am here looking at videos where I can find them about bioshock. Even looking into comments and how pleased I am someone's work of art is highly appreciated.
They really hit their design goals with Elizabeth. She is one of the most expressive, interactive, helpful companions in any video games. Pretty much fell in love at first sight
You have done a really impressive job creating and developping Elizabeth. While i was playng i started to feel she was a real companion and not a generical AI. So cool! Elizabeth is allready one of the most fascinating character in the videogame history in my opinion. I hope you will create another game with her.
I play this game over and over because i always miss elizabeth :'), she is so charming and gorgeous girl, i love her personality and i hope to meet a women in this earth who has a personality like her
thank for created a most beautiful personality character-most painful life-never happy a day in her life-all her beautiful moment just a dream (like France in Burial Sea)-her only friend in her life is the one she have to killed by herself
It’s been 9 years since Bioshock Infinite came out and no game of this genre has come close to captivating gamers the way this game did. Truly A masterpiece of our time. Although there may never be another Bioshock game again, thank you Ken Levine and Irrational Games for giving us this Diamond. 👍 Also, Elizabeth is the greatest video game companion: actually helps during combat. 😂
I love her. I felt like she was my best friend. But she's only a character 😔 the line between what's real and what's only a game seems off with this game.
Bioshock infinite is the best game ive ever played, hands down. The story is so good it actually makes you think about the symbolism thats behind it and i seriously wish it wouldnt end, this game has completely changed the meaning of a video game forever
The ending fit perfectly into Infinite's story, in my opinion. If you are referring to the franchise at large, they didn't think this through past the first game. Each title to them is its own story (Which is a good thing, because you can't be guaranteed a sequel), so they could have known that they would do this.
Courtnee Draper,i just want to say, thank you for being voice actor of Elizabeth,Thank you for being with me when i in trouble...and thank you.....for drowing me ...its ok..as long you are happy and free Elizabeth...........(*start to cry because of the ending and no another story of this)
She kind of reminds my of alyx from half like two,in that game you end up caring about about her and feel she's not just a generic video game character.
I have yet to play the game, but have seen a little bit of footage her and there. I fell in love with this is city in the clouds on first sight. I fell even more in love with this Elizabeth really really quickly. I wish this was a classic adventure game, but I can't wait to explore this city alongside this fantastic character.
As much as I enjoyed all the character designs and technical achievements that brought Elizabeth "to life", I had far more emotional attachment to Eleanor in BioShock 2. That's not to say I enjoyed Infinite less. Infinite hit me in the head, and 2 hit me in the heart. Both amazing, strong female characters.
wow... its been quite some time since i've fell in love with a character. haha. Zoe Castillo and now... Elizabeth! :D Thanks for upping the game industry Irrational Games!
Did you... did you even play this game? Elizabeth is one of the most alive characters in the history of games. Her pain, her happiness, her anger, the emotional depth in her character, the little body language details during the cutscenes, it all comes together into one of the most amazing characters I've ever seen. She is not one-dimensional in the least, I didn't get into any spoilers for the reason that I think people should experience this game, not hear it over the internet.
I don't know why, i haven't even played the game yet and all I know about her is what I've read and watched in videos but for some reason...she's captivated me. Something about those round eyes too. As soon as I have some money to spare, I'm definitely gonna pick up this game.

The voice actor got her so spot on
This is not how I recall creating Elizabeth...
lol...

Gellette Heng i never play any game brought me so many emotions like Bishock infinite, even Final Fantasy.

i know man, just play it again,i know i would many times more :)
I have played it 3 times now XD I'm planning on playing it again when I have time. :3
cool ;)
If you haven't yet, you should play the two Burial at Sea episodes, especially episode 2.
I have... :c That ending though.... :c It hurts!
Voice actress is a really hard job. people underestimate it and others.
It's easy if you're a legend like Tom Kenney.
I don't know how many times I've watched this video and I still find it so interesting.
And Elizabeth's theme makes me cry oh my God...
I can see...
I havent played the game yet but iam already in love with her
Dude.play it.NOW.
I actually get nervous when shes near or infront of an enemy and I shoot them lol
Sometimes I point my gun at her just so I can here her voice saying," point that somewhere else." How sweet she sounds.
Her eyes truly are the eight wonder of the world. Big, blue, piercing orbs that melt your soul.

I like how the programmers refer to her as "Liz". Shows they are connected to their work
I fell in love with her very essence, she's an amazing character :)
You have done a great job with this amazing game, and Elizabeth is like a real person along the game
6:35 job well done
What I wouldn't give to bring her to life.

Самый сильный поворот в этом сюжете в том, что Элизабет - это душа, эмоции и лицо нашей русской девушки, это сильнее всего, хотя сюжет уже на 200%
