Hey Peter. Great video! Love that Zep album! Sabbath! Love Tommy Bolin’s albums. Have the first 5 Budgie albums! Heep, yes! Good comeback album! Saw Heep with Lawton. Nazareth! That Sweet album was the first one of theirs. Fee Waybill was singer in The Tubes. I saw them tour for their second album. Rush! April Wine, killer! That’s the best Moxy album! Great PF story. Great Hawkwind album! Styx! Love that Chris Squire album. Those Iron Butterfly album fell under the radar, but I like them! I’m with you on the Camel albums. Renaissance… great album. I own all but 5 of the albums you showed. Love your eclectic tastes. Well done. Cheers
Bobby, I can just see you watching this video with the comment box open and the cursor flashing, typing away with each album I mention. Ha ha! Yeah, you know most of what I have. And you know a heck of a lot more! Thanks as always! You're awesome, man!
Brian, I am certain you could present a nearly entirely different pile of albums. That's one of the reasons your channel is interesting to me. It's like another musical world and culture. Always fascinating.
Hey Peter! I get where people think PG is Zep at their best, but I always have a hard time judging a double LP over a single. Love the DP and Bolin picks! HEEP! I lost track how many I own, but the ones I do not have are; Budgie, Kestral, VDG, Hatfield, Harmonium, Slo, Morse Code, and Renaissance. Another great year, but just a little weaker than 71-74 IMHO. Cheers!
Hi, Steve. You have other Budgie albums though, don't you? I'm not surprised you don't have the Quebec prog albums as they are not very well known outside of Quebec and some niche prog circles. You might like Kestral. VDG and Hatfield and the North, are they in your listening territory at all? They're on the periphery of mine. I'm more into the 1971-74 stretch as well, but still, as you said, 1975 was a good year. I'm sure you'd mention Thin Lizzy and Alice Cooper.
ah The Tubes! Fee Waybill I think was the singer? We had a Friday early evening music show here in the 1980s called The Tube. And one of the bands that appeared on it was - The Tubes. the performance is available on UA-cam, as is Priest's set from the show. )both are well worth seeking out) It was different from the norm in that bands played 100% live - no miming involved like on Top of the Pops!
Thanks, Nick. I'll have a look for those. I recall The Tubes started out with loads of costumes and theatrics. The Canadian band, Zon, wanted to do a similar thing. But when they had a chance to speak to Fee and ask for advice, he told them not to go that way because it was a huge distraction from paying music and a great cost and hassle. Fee said that The Tubes would be scaling back on their visuals. That was around 1977/78. So I'm curious about their TV performance in the 80s.
Hi Peter!!! Those are some great albums from 75, i'm familiar with most of the bands/artists you showed, but just own 4 or 5 from the ones you own. I would have to add to the list as you said Rainbow's debut and Kiss' "Alive"..... I have keep hearing cool things about Moxy, but never check them out and that band Armaggedon sounds interesting too. cheers and be well
@@cristianosorio2517 Thank you for the addition of KISS, Cristian. I checked Hotter Than Hell but it was not 1975. I don’t have much KISS. But Alive and Dressed to Kill also are 50 years old this year. Did you know the Quebec prog bands? If you did, you can collect bonus points!
@@musicisajourney to be totally honest i'm just a casual Kiss fan, kust own a couple of their releases (not the cool ones....) Unfortunately not very familiar with the Quebec prog scene, more stuff added to the endless listening list!!
@@cristianosorio2517 I'm not a big fan of KISS either, though I don't dislike them. I love what they did as performing artists early on. Quebec prog is whole scene unto itself. It was inspired by British prog but sounds closer to Italian prog if you ask me.
Happy New Year, Clifford! Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm still good with Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti. The jury is still deliberating on Presence.
Great collection of cd's from 1975 happy new year 😀🐸🇨🇦
Thanks a lot! Happy New Year to you too!

@ As are you! 🤘😎
Great records from 1975, Peter. I have 8 of these! In addition to those, I would add John Cale, Brian Eno, Bob Dylan, Bowie, Kraftwerk ...
