Hey guys! Incase you missed my community post, I'm going back and remaking some of my older iron man videos, I hope you enjoy! :)
the mark 33, and 39 are some of my favorite designs for a suit.
I can see why!! the mark 33 is one of my favourites too! Most of the suits within the 30 range arguably have the most unique and memorable looks in all of tony’s suit arsenal! Updated video on the mark 39 coming this weekend :)

The Silver Centuries was my favorite armor and color scheme from comics when I was a kid. In the MCU I think the briefcase armor colors look a lot like SC and the race track suit up is easily my favorite. They never did a good job with the briefcase in comics. It would be made of some "flexible" metal and Tony would either unfold it or stretch it out and slip into it. It was always lame and Stark needed it often. But Iron man 2 crushes the briefcase. Its like so money and they don't even know it😉
I didn’t realize this suit got that much screen time. I have a newfound respect for it.

I recently realised that this suits built in blades most likely inspired the mark 50's nano katar weapons since they were effecive against killian

I know right, it was definitely a missed opportunity not seeing it used more. But I’m happy that it at least got a few moments to shine!! The mark 33 is one of my all time favourites

I forget where I saw it, maybe someone can help me remember, but I think the blades were actually vibranium
Yeah I actually remember reading that on the wiki a while ago, but I couldn’t find a source to confirm so the alterations of titanium made the most sense to me :)
This armor and Mark XX "Python" should have been the main armors of Iron Man 3.
It would have been an easy way to go different enough from the typical red/gold scheme, but recognizable enough in terms of comic book accuracy.
Mark 42 is ugly as hell, easily the worst main armor he wore in live action. I'm glad Mark 43 reversed the color scheme...
Though the mark 42 has grown on me, I actually agree with your take lol maintaining a more traditional looking/feeling iron man suit during the bulk of iron man 3 would have been nice and the mark 20 and 33 are perfect nods to fans of the comics and midnight suns! But I understand them wanting to take a different approach to subtly show the evolution in tony's armor and technology by going for a more drastic change in its design
