Personally, this is my favorite of Tony’s armors. The triangle arc reactor and angular shoulders just give it an aggressive appearance, and I like the color scheme better.

Yeah, as far as I know Stark's alcoholism was contrived reason to make him more tragic and it was motivated by artist's personal anti-capitalistic ideology. Ironman became a victim of the anti-capitalism, not some deeply justified reasons.
