    This week received the clarity monitor, was exited for the monitor because i prefer the glossy finish for a monitor. Got an office without any harsh light.
    First setup, colors looked great, adjustable and the glass finish is great. But there is one thing why i am returning the monitor. There is some type of noise look. Looks like there is a film underneath the glass which makes white and colored images look grainy. Not perfect unfortunately.

    I just set up my alogic monitor tonight, the first thing I noticed was the very noticeable difference in brightness going from an older iMac 5k to this…I can’t seem to get the colour profile the same though? @@AppleInsider the title says “studio display vs a logic”. You do a great job at comparing the specification sheets of the two monitors. But it’s been my experience that there is more to a monitor than as specifications. I would have liked to have heard what your subjective comparison was between the image quality of the two monitors. Yes one is 5k And one is 4K. You have chosen to compare a 4k to a 5k. I’d like to know why. Are they effectively the same? In that in real world there is little to no difference? Or is the 5k really worth twice the price? And if it’s worth twice the price, for whom? I would have liked more detail. That extra detail is what would draw me back to your channel. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Dion

    For me coming from a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) sorry could not go back to 4K display. Now have LG Ultra HD 5K Ultra Slim 27MD5KA-B Monitor on a black NB North Bayou VESA Monitor Arm Desk Mount as Apple Studio Display could not be ordered with pick up in store at the time I place my order from my MacBook Air (can now).
    When I sit down reach out and adjust the height, and distance to arms length. Almost like having my vision from my younger years. The image is extra sharp. So for me never going back to less than Retina display image that I get with the 27-inch LG Ultra HD 5K Ultra Slim 27MD5KA-B Monitor, or would get with the Apple Studio Display.

    I bought two alogic monitors. They are okay, but only after extensive calibration. Out of the box, the colors and contrasts are completely overblown, making professional work for graphic designers impossible. But far more importantly: The customer service writes friendly emails, but does absolutely nothing. I have a defective docking station which they refuse to take back. There's absolutely no possibility for return processes! And I had to pay high customs fees, which they promised me 5 or 6 times they would cover. Nothing happened. Therefore, my clear recommendation is to definitely avoid this company.

      Well I wouldn’t call 4K “crappy resolution” for a 27”. It’s still on the high end and there are only maybe 2 5K displays out there. The cam is fine because built in webcams often suck - even Apple’s. So I’m happy using a webcam if I need it. I don’t mind the design and it’s primarily metal. One of the best looking monitors out there and is made for Apple.

      @@AppleInsider It doesn't scale well for 27", it's ofc the main reason apple uses 5K etc. They can do much better for the price they're asking. As for the design, it is somehow thicker than a complete iMac, now that's impressive. I'll stick to Apple's monitors tho, really wish more manufactures would take it more seriously. This is one of the better pc monitors I've seen but that's a low bar to beat sadly.

    As soon as you said 4k I quit watching. The Apple 5k ips makes a big difference, that’s what your paying for. There are many 4K monitors out there similar to this. What is the panel type, probably VA to get the HDR. With the title of this video, this video appears to be a paid ad for this monitor

    • @mpetrides
      @mpetrides 2 роки тому +5

      I agree. 5K is HUGE for people working in text (see Andrew’s comment about rotating the Alogic display to work on code or legal documents). And the 400 vs 600 nits of brightness is also significant.

    • @Nazenko
      @Nazenko 2 роки тому +18

      Kind of a dumb comment to make considering that if anyone is looking at alternatives, then 4K is acceptable to them. If you need 5k, studio display is your only option. You wouldn’t be looking for an alternative if so.

    • @mpetrides
      @mpetrides 2 роки тому +1

      @@Nazenko Well jeepers, the title doesn't exactly make it clear that one display is 4K compared to the Studio Display's 5K now does it? So maybe it's the initial premise that the two CAN be compared in a meaningful way that's at fault. Frankly, I don't think so but and appreciate Andrew's effort in comparing the two. But if the comparison is valid in the first place, then it's kinda dumb to complain when people do comment on the key difference. And FWIW, I also wondered if this were a paid endorsement video because it did feel that way at times.
