      Roosters are named after what they do best.. roost. Chickens for centuries a very good at roosting and in nature this involved jumping, flying up into the trees and gliding into other trees to avoid predators.
      Many don't think Chickens as flying birds because they don't fly long distances.
      Don't think chickens are a bunch of chickens. They can get quite vicious if they when need be.

    • @Cyber_One
      @Cyber_One 3 роки тому +2

      @@jasonni183 yes, evolution is as saying the earth is flat. Everyone believed that previously. Or that the universe had no beginning. All proven false and it correctly stood in the Quran. I get so sad that everyone believes evolution is true (yes "believes" because they're deluding themselves and not actually thinking about it) and then in a hundred years maybe when it's proven false everyone will think "how could they think evolution is true?" That's how people now think about people which thought the earth was flat. And evolution doesn't even explain where we come from. We also have DNA repair mechanisms, so how can errors lead to better change? Do people really think that we created ourselves? Can something nonexistent create itself? I hope they'll all be guided inshallah. Also, DON'T start a discussion with me now. Think for yourself.

    • @Cyber_One
      @Cyber_One 3 роки тому +1

      @@kayelynnphelps8676 No it's not, I said I don't want to discuss this, because every single time it starts from the beginning all over again with the same wrong claims. And that's no evidence, the fossils say nothing, and they even have to be manually reconstructed, because only tiny little fragments of them are actually recovered. And guess what? They completed a human skull fossil with the help of a chimpanzee skull. Yeah. Think about that. I'm constantly thinking about this and evolution is most definitely wrong. I'm not going to say anything anymore. God gave you the entirety of knowledge to the palms of your hand. Use it to find the right way. This is your one and only chance. You came here because you wanted paradise, this is the test. If God were to give direct evidence, there'd be no test and no paradise. Hope you'll get guided soon.

    Just one question; Since the birds can quickly lose their ability to fly in a few generation in absence of threats, how fast can they regain that ability?

      as far as i understand, every bird species of today has once partially lost the ability to fly then re-gained it later, once all the flying birds had gone extinct during the K-Pg event due to the loss of tree-top environment and they filled the flying niche

      Study shows the "Ninja run" actually generate more air resistance than regular sprinting.... so that is why you don't see it on Olympics... Plus human arms are not as effective as bird's wing when steering. (Ostrich sometimes does use their wings like air brakes/oars/rudders to turn)

      Todays theory of evolution is not exacly that of Darwin. Based on yes, but is much better explained now:)

      it just "theory". Even fossil or bone of the transition bird between flying bird to kiwi/dodo/pinguins never be found. 😐

      @@novelnouvel its a scientific theory. "Established scientific theories have withstood rigorous scrutiny and embody scientific knowledge".
      So not "just a theory", in the common sense of the word.

    My umbrella cockatoo is flightless by choice. She's middle-aged and set in her ways (I adopted her 9 years ago). She picks her feathers and seems to intentionally chew off her primary flight feathers. Even in situations where she would be able to get some lift she chooses to walk or yell for human transportation. She is extremely lazy and dramatic so I have to assume this is a conscious decision she's making. I love her.

    Let me rephrase the question.
    "What if all birds can fly?"
    Imagine that ostrich fly over you.

    Because an evolutionary trait was successful in breeding. Similar to how some people don't need to work, yet keep breeding, and some people are genius' and don't breed. Traits that carry on through generations of survival, become dominant, not because they are valuable for survival, because they lucked out and survived.

    Every time someone mentions a dodo bird, it reminds me of a short clip someone made of a dodo jumping off a cliff to feel like flying once in it's life before it dies.
    It was so sad.
