I worked at Manitou until they laid off 85% of their workforce. I'm not sure what they're gonna do now but the people that still work there aren't happy. 🤷🏼♂️
Manitou "used to" make some bad-ass pontoons, particularly their "Explode" models. Even their twins with the E-Tecs were quick. However, this new power plant and set up leaves a LOT to be desired. The fact that its a two stroke is a plus but performance with a single engine 150 is going to be lacking. Tell me it has 300+ HP and I'd be impressed.
Keep in mind - you CAN still get a Manitou boat with up to 900 HP and twin outboards. They still DO make some "Bad A$$" pontoons! We've got a few at our dealership. The beauty of this 150 motor is the swim platform, and for the pontoon owner that is not looking for the high performance 'go fast' pontoon.
i keep my boat in the water all summer. is there any reason why you couldn't leave the engine elevated when the boat is sitting at a dock for extended periods? i'd feel better about the prospect of batteries and sensors potentially failing if the engine wasn't underwater.
still pretty awesome
We think so too!
Omg I haven't watched you in ages ichiban Hahaha weird to see you on this. Yeah pretty slick setup I think.
@@lNOFXlCronier I need to make new videos

@@NielsenEnterprise that may be true, but I dont see it on their website. Are you talking 2023 or even 2024 models??
Yes, the new LT or LX you can do with twin outboards. www.manitoupontoonboats.com/us/en/shopping-tools/customize-your-own.html

@alexnutcasio936 yeah, they still make the "super boats". They just don't make regular pontoons anymore.

Alright it’s a Evinrude I3 awesome outboards miss them. This under board is funny
Take 2 of these 1.9’s to make an OP 2 3.8L OP 2 stroke. This would be like a Fairbanks Morse OP 2 stroke
Is there a video that walks you through the winterization process for this rotax 150? If so, can I get the link? Thank you!
We'll be posting this week

BRP is well known for battery drain, what happens when the battery is discharged? For that system to work it’s going to need constant power right?
We have not experienced any issues with battery drain or voltage loss on this system.
I have never herd of this being a problem on the E tec motors. In fact there magneto systems is class leading at battery power rejuvenation
