PLEASE TELL ME HOW IT WORKS?? Bcz I've taken one leaf from another succulent and I just placed it in water for 1-2 months and to my surprise the roots grew in and I was able to plant it!!! I'm not sure if I placed an ALOE leaf in water if it'll grow roots or should I just place it in succulent soil & perlite and try to let it grow that way. I have about 7 aloe leaves I wanna try to grow ....

⁠@@yellowflowers8858Yes place it in the succulent soil. Leaving it in water will make it extremely likely to cause root rot of your aloe. Aloe needs to only be watered every 2 to 3 weeks. I bought Miracle Gro Cactus soil (which contains perlite as well), and transplanted my aloe plant I bought from the store into it. I have only watered my aloe plant twice in the last 7 weeks, and 3 big aloe leaves popped up without even doing anything else to it. They can multiply on their own if they are in the right condition.

@@ruthie_rosario wow really?? Somebody told me to only water it when it's "bone dry" but if it's dry on top & maybe an inch down, I water it. It's been fine, it grows fine but I want my aloe plants to grow HUGE & gorgeous!! The loose aloe leafs I had, i placed them different spots of one of my other aloe plants & left it alone but i noticed yesterday the leafs are loose in the soil. Is it supposed to be loose in the soil like that?? Do I need to do anything else?? Or should I just replant the loose leafs in a pot by themselves?? Thanks in advance for your advice/reply, it helps!!

My aloe vera has grown dozens of new shoots. Had to give loads away. Darn thing is like a gremlin after they get wet 😂 when i bought it, i wanted just a little one in a pot but they grown so huge and multiply!

Let your end scab over a bit. Very shallow bury and that soil mist is more to secure the top layer of medium not an actual watering. Give those few tips a try and see if you have any better success. 🌵

That's cause it's impossible to propagate aloe vera from leaf. Please don't try anymore. You need roots/nodules for it to work

@@janedeauxxx I’m not set up to do videos right no or I would share my plants. I wish we could share at least photos. That said. I both agree and disagree with you. Here is why. A traditional aloe, unlike Sedum nussbaumerianum which you can literally pop off callous (hope I spelled that right lol!) over and toss into soil, you can not with a center cut aloe leaf. I should have provided a little more clarification. The easiest way to explain is by looking at a plant that is out of soil, find a pic online don’t dig one up just yet 🥰. Where all the leaves meet is the stem and that is where your roots are formed. So to clarify. If you include a bit of stem you will produce root on your cutting. It is best and easiest with a sharp knife (please be careful) and an end or edge leaf again allow it to scab over and put in soil. It can take 2 months to form a solid root. Just be patient. Again wish I could share pictures. I am looking at my own example.

Example too, is the ZZ Plant!! propagated thru its leaves!! just DIP the cut portion the matured leaf /leaves into the moist organic soil, it will form a little ball - like bulb, where offshoot plant leaves will grow, later on.
