I saw Pet Sematary when I was younger based on the novel by Stephen King (a source of many great US horror films). The movie was okay, but almost comical sometimes. Hands down that novel is the most disturbing story he has written to date. It's the only one I really never want to revisit. The movie didn't come close to the dread that the novel produced.

Also YES a prequel has finished filming and Isabelle is playing Esther again. They are using body doubles for her height and a professional make-up team.

Anyone who is burried there "comes back to life." Sort of. They are still dead. Kinda like a zombie. When they come back they turn evil and try to murder anyone in their way. The boy got hit by a truck and died. The father burried him in the cemetery and he came back on a killing spree. That's why the father looked so sad. He had to put his own son "down" before it got worse...... I was only a spoiler because a lot of people may not want to watch this movie but still may be curious.
