It is but's difficult as you need to be catabolic to actually breakdown your muscles for fuel and I don't know if it's really a healthy idea. I've heard of bodybuilders upping there rep range to switch between sub types of their muscle fibers to decrease cross sectional size but It's some I would have to look into more to be honest.
John or Leon, would you recommend just doing these 4 exercises as one workout and be done, or add on a few more basic back exercises to make a complete WORKOUT? Love your guys' advice!

I have a question for you guys. My husband has moderate scoliosis that affects the thoracic and lumbar parts of his spine (kind of like a "S"). Would these exercises be advisable for his case? I know that it would help for him to strengthen the muscles in his back, but a way that wouldn't pinch nerves and injure discs any further to do it.

I broke a vertebrae in my lower back about 6 years ago and struggle with deadlifts, is there other options? Also I seemed to have developed one lat much more than another, any solutions to evening them out?

What weight dumbbells would you recommend for a female 190lbs for this exercise (my upper body strength is not nonexistent but I can't do a pull-up. Hopefully that gives you an indication of my upper body strength)?

As of now I'm 18, 6ft, weigh just above 12 stone on an average day(usually 12.4), my body fat percentage is 14%, rarely lift, so I was just wondering if you can help me out a bit as I really want to look different in my physique to gain a bit more confidence and feel fresh for when i go to to Uni in September. Is it possible to gain even a slight 'V' in just over 2 months?

I would look into adjustable ones as you can apply more weight as you progress to keep it challenging.

You really need to dial in your diet then Josh, I think carb back loading is great & try not to have too much sugar.
