I really liked this video! Beautiful scenery and sunrise looks like it was absolutely serene out there. I watch outdoor chef life too and love that you tried his new product and liked it! Writing the line cook in the sand was a cool and stylish touch I enjoyed that aerial shot! Great catches brotha.. quick question aside from buck tails how do fluke react to standard jerk baits?
Hey mike thanks bro! So people have started to use jerk baits around here for fluke and are successful with them. It is a up and coming technique. I have a lot of confidence with the bucktail and that’s why I fish it. I have caught fish on the jerk bait though. Our beaches you need a deep diving bait to get down there enough. So the jerkbait needs to dive 6ft at a minimum.

Why was your drag slipping on the hook set ?

Why is the rod constantly vibrating as you’re waiting for a bite?
That is a common technique used in fluke fishing. It is called jigging with bucktails. The vibrating of the rod creates action with the bucktail that entices fluke to bite.
