2019 Volkswagen Jetta SEL Premium Review & Drive
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 жов 2024
- The all-new 2019 Jetta is the most premium Jetta ever. Volkswagen took some cues from Audi to upgrade this new generation. Although the 1.4T doesn't have a lot of power, its torque shines through very early to give it a more spirited drive than you'd expect. Technically it's in the compact car class, but it's quite large and interior space shows. Volkswagen did a good job with this Jetta with the exception of a couple small complaints, but most people will feel like they're getting a great value with this 2019 VW Jetta.
A huge thank you to Volkswagen!

Was heavily involved with the development of this (working at VW in Germany); you really did cover most points that were important to us with the Jetta. One thing I want people to understand is that we benchmarked Civic, Elantra and Cruze and wanted to create something that is a little more premium looking, a little more fun to drive / engaging (that’s why you e.g. get the Turbo or can connect the ambient light to the drive mode) and offers more comfort - hence the ventilated seats, connectivity and all the driver assistance you can use every day.
However, with a lower price, 6 year warranty and customers expecting the lowest lease rate possible we had to cut somewhere. The equation is simple: Want an even better ride? Get the GLI with multilink rear axle. Want better materials in the back? Get a Passat. I’m very proud the car is what it is! Again, pricewise def. we targeted Civic, NOT Accord, so keep that in mind + rest assured we are profitable BUT it’s not like we’re getting rich on each Jetta..! The customer is getting INCREDIBLE VALUE for the price...especially on the base trims S and SE...
Fabian, thank you so much for this information. I’m glad that I was able to cover some of those points, but I surely could have been more detailed. All of what you said makes sense and I was happy to see everything that you guys put into this car. It really was impressive in a lot of ways! Definitely pinning this comment and I appreciate you watching and sharing this! 👍
One gripe of mine for the Jetta and Passat is the lack of adjustable armrests. It would be great to have that feature back.
When the gli is coming to USA?
I haven’t heard anything specific. I’d love to hear if Fabian knows too
Denis C.
I believe middle of next year.
This is a great value. I probably would've gotten this over my a3 if the screen wasn't touch and instead had the controls that the audi has.
This car is almost perfect and owners wont be disappointed because it offers elegant styling, sophisticated German engineering and practical cabin. Its a class leading compact car with fuel efficiency matching the Japanese and Korean rivals. Great review of a good car
Very well said. It’s quite impressive for this class and a really big car for this class too lol. VW expects it to rise in sales again despite crossover hungry buyers
All the best to VW ;)
at least while its under warranty. my mk6 had 3 water pumps, intake manifold, and a radiator replaced before 36k. completely stock. loved the car but had to ditch it.
But the reliability is still hard to tell
Absolutely but its reliability will still remain better than its American competitors and given the long warranty so shouldnt be much of a concern ;)
Definitely one of the better reviews I've seen for the Jetta. As silly as it sounds, one of my favorite features is the ambient lighting, so thank you for covering that to a greater degree than everyone else. The whole time was thinking it looks like you are in the DFW area. Was trying to pause the video to see the street signs to see if I was right, so thank you for mentioning you were driving in DFW. Not a big deal of course, but was curious to see if I was right. Lol. Again, thank you for the great review. Oh, and definitely great tidbit about holding the lock button down to close the windows and sunroof.
Thank you very much! Glad you liked the video and yep...only about 30 miles east of Dallas where I was with the car. Thanks for watching 😁
J_Owens agree !!!
Test driving a 2019 Jetta SEL Premium today (blue with the gray interior). I sat in it yesterday and I was surprised how comfortable it was for me at 6' 3". Literally better than any other compact sedan I've tried. The 8-way power seats really help me get the leg room and thigh support I need. Only 12K miles on it - local trade and perfectly maintained according to the service manager at the dealership. The 2019 had such a long warranty (and its transferable) - there's still 44 months and 59K miles left on the factory bumper to bumper warranty. If all goes well it will be in my garage tonight!
Infotainment system is sharp with the graphics with quick response to commands and really easy to use.
For sure! Really nice system overall.
I really liked how you incorporated the initial startup graphics of the Jetta into your intro and then transitioned to your driving shots with it. I hope you do this with more of your reviews, or maybe incorporate the headlamps/taillights starting up if you think they're particularly interesting enough.
Very well done!
Thank you very much! I’m happy to hear what you liked and the idea of the headlight/taillight, that would look nice!
Excellent review! The all-new Jetta sure seems like one of the "compact" sedans to beat in its class. Not only does it look ultra-sleek and boast an audi-esque design language (inside and out), but the overall features available are pretty mind blowing... Especially for a compact rated vehicle.
Nevertheless, you did a great job display the features of this vehicles. From one car reviewer to another, keep up the great work!
Thank you! Very well said. They definitely offered a lot for this class. Thanks for watching!
Looking forward to your Genesis review 👍
Got the SEL model in white. I love this car and it drives very smooth
Nice! I was impressed with it. Glad you love it and thanks for sharing that!
tested 3 differents jetta in the deallership and between the 2 and 3 shifts the car make very weird noise from the engine. I lease the car anyway but and curious about that. No buddy say anything related with this
I think it is a handsome car. I love the dashboard.
Coming from the Honda/Acura guy that I am, I was so impressed with the 2019 Jetta that I bought one. Wife leased a 2018 Tiguan and I was really impressed. Gave the car a test drive and I was sold. Didn't want an S trim but dealership gave me an awesome deal so I did it! One big gripe is the fog lights, why are they only offered on the R type? I hate the big goobs of black plastic on the front of car
Glad to hear you like it! I was impressed too! Fog light he are def nice to have...but other than that I hope you continue to enjoy it!
Same here man I have a 2018 Tiguan SE and I hate the 2 pieces of pointless black plastic on mine also.
Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think of the car.
It offers quite a bit for the "compact" class. My biggest takeaway with this car was that it actually gets advertised MPGs and power is better than you think for this 1.4T. Please hit the "Like" button and Subscribe if you found this video helpful!
Great review Nolan, your videos are getting better and better. Keep it up!
Thank you very much, I always appreciate the support!
Of course
EXCELLENT VIDEO presented immaculately -- covers every aspect that a person looking for a new car wants to know. YOU are VERY good at what you do and at such a young age!!! BRAVO.
Thank you, Dennis! That means a lot and I always appreciate hearing kind words! Thanks for watching!
Great Review! I just purchased the Execline here in Canada ( SEL Premium) with the manual transmission. Your review helped! Thanks
Thank you Aaron! I’m glad it was helpful and you got yourself a sweet ride then, nice choice in the manual too 👍
I like the design of the Jetta as much as the Passat. Now I'm deciding if I'll stay with Lincoln or go with the Volkswagen Jetta, Passat or Atlas.
Hi! I’m from Lima, Perú and I bought the Highline version here (best available in South American) with the digital cockpit on a special version. I have not checked the Civic or Mazda 3 but I believe I still made the right call. It feels more premium than it really is and on the outside it has a great look.
Greetings! You got yourself a nice ride and yes, it’s definitely more premium than people would expect. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for sharing that!
Hola mcuya2!
Soy de Perú tambien
Quiero comprar este modelo jetta
Tengo dudas sobre su potenciaque tal te parece?
Y leo mucho sobre el sunroof que aún cerrado deja pasar sol
Qué opinas?
Chimpu" let's build the Wall
Love the ambient lights!!
Yeah they were really cool! Nice touch
Prime Autotainment I’m looking at a 2015 tomorrow...fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Very cool, good luck!
Great review! I love the jetta jetta and have always wanted one.. but I love the early 2000's body style. I wish they still made it.. I'm on the hunt for a 2004-05 jetta GTI
Thanks Nicole! Good luck with your search and good choice going for a GTI 👍
I built one of these on their website and it came out to around 30K I believe. Very well priced vehicles.
Edit: My mom owned a 2010 Jetta when I was smaller and she loved it.
Thanks for the video. You have more knowledge than most VW sales people. I am thinking of getting one. SInce I am a vegan, I like the SEL option with V-Tek Leatherette. However, big downside is the manual drivers seat. The big difference between SEL and Civic EX is the panoramic sunroof ... I will likely buy a new car in a week or so ... thanks for covering the Jetta, you saved me a lot of time at the dealership(s)
Thank you for the kind words! Good point on the leatherette too. Good luck picking your new car! In addition to the Jetta and Civic...a couple others I would look into would be the 2020 Toyota Corolla, 2019 Mazda3, and Kia Forte. Anyways, good luck and thanks for watching 😁
Excellent detailed review!
Thank you!
I have this car in black. the virtual cockpit is amazing. the ride is smooth and it looks great
That’s awesome, I can imagine black would look good on it. Glad to hear it and thanks for watching!! 👍
Hey, is the passenger side power seated ?
Jeffrey Cajamarca I believe that it is but only on this top SEL Premium trim. Maybe Wilson Lam can chime in
No :( only driver's seat
This is such an excellent and well thought out video! So informative- thank you!!!
Very nice review! Everything I wanna know about this car has been covered.
Glad to hear it, Paul. Thank you very much!
I love this design! That color is beautiful. I love it! Thanks!👍
For sure! Thanks man, glad you like it!
No problem.😊
Sage green is definitely a unique color.
Looks nice. Hope VW steps up its long term quality.
Agreed!
Really improving! Nice job on vid! Better detailed info and nice camera work.
Thank you very much! I’ll keep working at it. I Appreciate the support 👍
I had a 2012. Lost in super storm sandy ran too replace w a 2013. Jetta. Still driving it today 150,000 miles love ❤️ it gas oil tires only. Will buy a new one 2020. Ps my / se 2.5 look new AF 😂
Sorry about the loss but glad to hear about your current one 😁👍
I have a sel premium and I like it a lot , very efficient, and I am coming from a subaru legacy 3.6r and i mostly do not miss the power , and even sometimes ( stop and go , for example ) I feel more power with the VW , on and all , very nice car and it may well compete in the midsize cars category and not just with compacts
Very well said! Thanks for sharing that. You’re right about the power, it comes out early and surprised me. Hope you continue to enjoy it!
I love your videos man. Keep up your great work!
Thank you Sunny, I appreciate that! 😁
Prime Autotainment Hey your quite welcome man. Im writing you from Canada. Test drove yesterday and I’m def planning to get one of these 2019 Jettas absolutely fell in love w/ this 💛
That’s awesome! Greetings from Texas (used to be in South Dakota lol). Glad you liked the car and I was definitely impressed with this Jetta...it really offers a lot!
Prime Autotainment Thanks Nolan! Cheers! 😊
I'm considering this over a mid sized car like Camry or Mazda 6. So many great features at a price I can handle. Perfect car for the city with lots of low end torque, and excellent fuel economy. Considering VW has an excellent warranty now this might be a car I need to check out soon. Or maybe a GTI.........I have trouble making decisions.
I don’t blame you! It’s awesome and like you said perfect for the city, efficient, and feature rich. Good luck with the decision 👍😁
Good review! The car is attractive, if not beautiful. I agree, the rear quarter view is the best one. Cabin is attractive; I like the driver-oriented dashboard-it’s a little bit Saab-y. I had an A3 and this is just as nice. I drove an 2018 with the 1.4L and it’s plenty of power. Still, I’d prefer the independent rear suspension and look forward to the GLI.
Thanks, John! All good points! It really surprised me with the upgrades they made for this model. The 1.4 was pepper than expected too which was nice. The GLI should be a nice riding and fun car once it’s here. Thanks for the input and for watching!
It’s literally the best sedan
Very good video and covered all the key points. What is disappointing is there is no Homelink and the cost is inexpensive. I have Homelink in my 2015 TDI SEL Jetta on the visor. I hope they add this in the near future as I'm looking to get the SEL Premium.
Thank you! That’s a good point and really interesting. I’m with you and hope they do too!
I want one. Today!
Right on!
Great review. The size and style of this car is right. Not over done with curves and creases as some Japanese models make me say "why", yuk. Side by side to a Passat it's really close in size. I just wish the S with a 6 speed came with a sun roof. I know on trips with the 6 speed I would get mid 40,s mpg. I rather call it a mid size while the price is unbeatable, it's on my list. I want mpg,s without a gookey style as a Prius, even Civic.
Thank you! Great points. VW did a really great job with this new Jetta. Thanks again!
great thorough review..good job
Thank you Derek! I appreciate hearing that!
Nice video!
First Jetta I kind of like.
Nice car indeed. I just wish manufacturer's would stick with one type of light bulb. If you have LED headlamps, DRL mixed with incandescent fog lights and blinkers, it looks bad. You have several color temperatures of the lights, once again looks bad in my opinion. Why not have LED everything or nothing.
I completely agree! I don’t understand why they ever thought it was ok to mix bulbs up lol
Think you’ll do a review once the gli jetta drops early spring? Eager to see a review on it as I’m pretty much sold on everything about this car except the power which the gli would address
I hope so! I will try to get one as soon as I can. The GLI should be awesome
Just found your channel and good solid car review. Thorough without being boring and good information and driver experience throughout the review. I gotta say I really liked this color combination on this one you reviewed. Do you know what the exterior/interior colors were called? The outside looked greenish/Gray. I liked the lighter seats with the black carpet too.
Thank you very much, I truly appreciate hearing that. The outside was Sage Green Metallic and Interior was Storm gray. I liked the colors on it too! That exterior color would be greener in bright light and more gray in shady or darker times, and I liked it! Thanks for watching!

My 5 likes and dislikes in this Jetta: ua-cam.com/video/l7jYioULb50/v-deo.html
This really a great review thank you man I'm gonna subscribe to your chanel.
Hey thank you very much, I appreciate that! 👍
At least you talk about engine and trans and gas milage...no mention of maintainance
Looks nice, I just wished they offered manual transmission with moonroof trim.
Excellent
Great review! I am planning to get this in SEL Premium or Mazda 3 GT next month. I have a month to decide which one I would pick.
Thank you very much! Oh man both good choices. Have you driven both of them? Definitely pros to each of them. In my opinion, Mazda was more fun to drive but VW seemed roomier/more practical. Both really nice for this class!
Hey thanks for the tip. The roomier/more practical is not a big deal. I had my eyes on Mazda 3 GT and Mazda 6 GT since the beginning of this year. But there are few things that got me interested in the 2019 VW Jetta, which is the Apple car play.
No problem. I really don’t think you could go wrong with that Mazda3. I really was impressed with it when I drove it. Very comfortable too. With Apple CarPlay...I’ve heard that it might be possible to “update” the infotainment system to incorporate it once it’s officially available in Mazda’s. Something to look in to I guess.
Stay away from Mazda 3, just traded in a Mazda 3 Grand Touring. Suspension beats you up on day to day drives. Steering is not adjustable and is to stiff for day to day driving, good for back roads but no way to adjust.
ric7744 so you’re saying that this 2019 Jetta is better than 2018 Mazda 3 GT?
there is a chip you can buy to boost the output by 35hp
Great review Thank you.
I hope they come back with diesels. I love my TDI Jetta.
I love the features in this car. My issues as a Volkswagen owner I didn’t have many of these features available on my Passat which is ridiculous. Why can’t I have virtual cockpit or the ambient lighting, auto high beam lights,etc....cmon Volkswagen!
Yeah I hear ya...they really stepped things up with the features in this Jetta!
Thanks for the review. Looks like a nice car, I don’t like the fact you can’t black out the moonroof but I still like the car. I’ll have to study the difference in prices with the other models, not sure the moonroof is worth it. Or the gimmicky lights. Cool looking car and love the warranty and price
I hope it was helpful! I was surprised by the moonroof for sure. You’re right about that warranty too...the base trim is a pretty good value too depending on what you want
update, made the mistake of buying this car: I would not buy this car again. I have the 2019 Jetta S , 2 months old, 5 issues including the grinding noise, a panel popping off, a recall, camera that intermittentling stops and another sensor that doesn't work if rain or slight slush: ua-cam.com/video/zrORLIm9WEI/v-deo.html that's my review. Dealer doesn't believe me on the noise which is clearly audible at 3 minutes, especially with headphones. They said this is "normal for a Volkswagen"
VW has upped their game. Their crossovers drive me nuts, but this and the Passat are lookers!
Yes for sure! I’m curious to see how the next redesigned Passat will look. VW styling is unique. Thanks for watching!
Like the color and looks.
Same here! The green really grew on me
The green looked really good yet don't understand the interior color which I liked. If you build your own on VW.com in the green you only get two interior choices. One if the UGLY titan black and dark beige and the other is storm grey. The car in this video had the cool two tone dash and the light beige seats. How is this possible?
Big improvement over the last generation Jetta. The interior space and great mileage makes it an ideal commuter vehicle. I'll reserve overall judgment until I see the GLI. I'm not highly optimistic, though. VW seems intent on not cannibalizing sales of the GTI by making the Jetta too much of a driver's car.
I agree. I was definitely impressed in a lot of ways. Like you said, excellent commuter car. I’m anxious to see the GLI as well...we shall see. Thanks for watching!
Love it! Just wish I could get a tdi 19
Definitely, that would be nice!
Everything was looking good until I saw the 147 HP. Oof. Also I feel the sunroof without being able to block out the sun completely here is a bad thing considering its summer and it can get over 100F here in California.
Yeah lol the 147 HP doesn’t sound very good. It’s got good punch at first but you can feel the lack of power as the RPM gets higher.
I agree with the roof...it was about a 100 here and sometimes it was just annoying.
Anyways...thanks for watching Crafty 😄
Tinted windows for the win! CHP can go rot in hell if they pull you over for tints!
@@GeeeBeeee gli model later in the year or early next year should satisfy any want for power. The motor in the gti makes 240-250 hp even though the car advertises 210-220
I love the interior
Me too!
The thing that might get people to take the Jetta, or any of the other VW's is their warranty. It's 6 year, 72,000 miles. I suspect they had to do that to get people to buy a VW because of the Diesel-gate fiasco. I had a Passat a few years ago, and liked it.
Very good point. I’m sure that’s a big selling point for some people. Thanks for the input!
Great review! Problem with most VW is that due to Diesel Gate, VW has resorted to cost cutting where you can't see, but you can feel. Hence you will find lots of hard interior plastics (will generate lots of squeaks with time) and specifically with this car, torsion beam rear suspension. Not a bad car if you know what you're getting. Again, with any German car, you always lease for term of warranty and never purchase, unless you want to end up in the poorhouse due to expensive maintenance costs.
Thank you and very well said! I agree with you on the lease/warranty term...should be nice till then but then yeah, better watch out! Thanks for watching!
Wow! I wish I'd known that before I put 75K miles on my tuned GTI with never a single problem.
@Stephen
The Golf is an exception. It has a slightly higher quality than the rest of US VWs. Even that, if you drove a European Golf, it is an even higher quality than the US version. Given that, VWs in general do have reliability issues and out of warranty repairs will cost the same as a BMW or Benz. Finally, for every 1 person that says they have a flawless VW, there are 20 that say they will never buy another VW due to issues. This is backed up by sales figures, VW US sells as many VWs in 1 year that Honda US sells in 2 weeks.
If your figures were anything more than figments of your fevered imagination, VW wouldn't be the largest auto company in the world and the Golf the best selling car in Europe.
True, they are the largest but yet they only have approximately 2% of US car sales marketshare. I know, it's shocking for many to believe. However, facts are facts, no matter how inconvenient they may be for you. My numbers are correct and here's my proof...you're welcome... :-)

WHY DOESNT ANYONE DO A REVIEW OF HOW THE RADIO SOUNDS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!? IM GOING INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Asiana Frank the beats Audi System is really really good but the standard not so much.
Howdy! Great video sir! Looking to replace my 2016 GLI towards the end of the lease with this (money is tight too).
I do have to ask about the auto Start/Stop.. Does it kick like a mule when coming back on? I've felt that in a Mercedes C class W205, E Class W212, and BMW 440i.
Did it constantly reset when you turned the engine off/on? i.e. it forgets that you turned it off and turns it on every time.
Thanks man! The start stop seemed to be pretty smooth. You certainly could hear it, but from what I remember, I don’t thing there was much of a kick at all. And yes, it defaults back to having it on every time you start it, so you always gotta turn it off if you want.
There’s a chance in the display settings it could be adjusted, but I don’t think so
Prime Autotainment thanks for the quick reply! If they haven’t implemented it, chances are that they’ll leave it for the “fuel economy” benefits lol.
I was looking into getting one of these. Ended up getting a 18 Passat though for more room. The new Jettas interior setup sure is nicer though. I see the 19 Passats looking very similar. I just don't know how I feel with digital dashes because if for whatever reason it breaks or has issues that's going to be costly.
Don’t blame ya there. I’m sure you’ll be happy with that ‘18 Passat...that’s a comfortable car!
If I get a jetta I really want the premium over the regular sel but god do I hate the rims on the premium.
Very nice car
Yes for sure!
Only wheels i like are on the R-line, and the leg room is great but my knees always hit that stupidly slanted towards driver console, i think theres more room on the passenger side!
The Jetta really stepped up on the interior but power is actually down for this newer generation. We’ll see if that’s any better when the GLI comes out. I assume this newer GLI would need premium fuel
Yep that’s true. I would hope that GLI can impress us some more, we shall see!
Would you consider this to be a good first car for a new driver?
Yeah I definitely would. It’s easy to live with, good enough acceleration and braking. All the new tech stuff you’d probably want. Enough space for people in back seat. Good warranty. Pretty solid choice
Prime Autotainment thanks so much!
You’re welcome!
get the Rline
Interesting to see no wireless charging on this
Yeah no kidding. Give and take in this class I guess
Yeah, that would've been a nice add... Both Kia and Hyundai have it.
my 2018 wolfsburg was a great car, very efficient but traded in for the golf sportwagen1.8..for more room and better quality interior..only thing I miss is the 1.4
Good idea in the Golf...haven’t driven one of them but hoping to soon. Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Derek S how much money did you loose doing that
I think it's a pity in Europe not buying a Volkswagen😰
I wonder it they make a darker cover for the sun roof. It gets real hot.
That’s a good question. I would think there would be an option. If not, invent one 👍
You can get the sunroof tinted aftermarket
Hot guy in a Jetta ;)
luxooooo....gostei.
tested 3 differents jetta in the deallership and between the 2 and 3 shifts the car make very weird noise from the engine. I lease the car anyway but and curious about that. No buddy say anything related with this
Glad you said something..I’ve actually heard some people talk about this since I posted the video. In my time with the car I didn’t hear anything but seems like a lot of people are experiencing that. Definitely something to monitor...
The 1.4 is a pig. I have a 17 with the 1.8 it’s adequate. Drove a 1.4. No way. It will go if you beat the shit out of it. Wait for a bigger motor people
Lmao or tune the 1.4t.my son has one that is just tune and exhaust and pulls on focus st's and mk7 gtis. Not to mention over 40 mpg highway.
You lucky a think every automatic jetta 2019 have this problem drove 2 sel and my se and have the same problem
Ewww it has a compact tire now??? VW... What have you don't to the jetta 😔
I love the interior but absolutely HATE the exterior OMG, the front is so ugly
That seems to be what a lot of people are thinking! I have mixed feelings, the front is my least favorite with the back corner view being my favorite. The interior is very well done! Thanks for the input 👍
And in two years all of the windows will fall down inside the door. Lol. They have long term quality issues.
Oh wow that’s awful! I’m 37 and on my fifth VW- I’ve owned them all over my 20 years of driving and have loved them with no issues. Currently have a 2016 GTI, a 2011 Jetta SEL, and a 2019 Atlas. I’m watching these reviews because I’m getting a new Jetta this week. I’ve got my friends and some family in VW’s now and so far everyone is happy.
Shame it doesn't come in right hand drive
That’s a bummer!
The back section looks a lot like my a3
For sure..they definitely took cues from it!
will i fit in this car being 6'4 330 lbs?
Good question. For the class it has pretty good space. I didn’t have anyone your size in there to really know...I honestly think so though
@@PrimeAutotainment thanks for the reply I got to find a dealer here in NY somewhere and try it out.
No problem, hope it works for ya!
I wonder if a 6'5" person fits in that driver's seat?
Good question, wish I could help ya. Had a 6’1” friend fit comfortably, but I can only imagine 6’5” would be tight
Does this model have a spare tire.?
purdy girl yes it does 👍
aimerais essayé la Jetta
I would not buy this car again. Bu aracı meganla kıyaslayanlara saygım yok valla
Yok ya bu volkswagen alınmaz
My 2012 Vdub has 170 hp and its not even turboed.. No thanks. I hope when they get going with the GLIs again they up the power because otherwise I will just be buying an Audi.. Not spending 30k on a slow ass car. Lol UGH makes me so upset because I love VW.
It’s definitely disappointing to see the current power numbers. I agree on the GLI and I’m hopeful it is more fun to drive, plus it will have a better suspension. Good idea on the Audi too, can’t go wrong with that! Hopefully VW speeds it up to make ya happy 🙂
I agree :( Haha yeah, really want an Audi if I can't get what I want out of a new VW. Haha but thank you, I hope so too!! Haha
2.5se? If so you are slower than the 1.4t due to having no tourqe
Haha yes sir the SE. And exactly!!! Thats whats sad about it! Lmao. Still love my Jetta though don't get me wrong
@@ForeverrCheer haha yeah, my son has a jetta 1.4t that's tuned with an intake and full exhaust and he pulls hard on glis. That 5 cylinder is very unique though in your car. Sounds great with some exhaust mods!
beware of transmission Darth Vader breathing noises from driver seat
foot floor while cruising...otherwise it's a nice ride but I'm reading
lots of complaints from owners..me included
Wow that’s interesting. Thanks for sharing that. Hopefully it’s not a mechanical issue
Unreliable. I bought it two months ago. Already the panel broke off and had to have it repaired. The brakes make this awful sound which the dealership said is normal. Maybe for a 10 year old car it is. I'll post a video of the sound later.
And for all you new owners, there's a recall already with a "sealant.". Guess water leaks in. 3 dealership trips in less than 2 months what a mistake :(
B. Johnson hey how’s it been with the Jetta? Do you still regret getting it??
