I love the texture of this beetle! I am obsessed about how silver looks just like chain mail! The red Klimnt section is so nice. What a wonderful addition to the collection!
It's weird because I've never liked dragonflies either. I find them creepy as well. I think the koi fish idea would be beautiful with shades of white and orange iridescent beads & sequins.
Dragonflies are also the best hunters in the world being the only animal with 90%+ success rate. Makes one greatful they aren't giants anymore. It's very calming watching you do bead work, thank you for sharing.
The point is,i love watching u bead jewellery. Despite “suffering” from arachnophobia i watch those broaches for as long as i can before i run away screaming😂😂
Todays hydration game: Either bead/beading OR beetle. 😂 I probably just avoided an impending dehydration headache. Thank you for the relaxing hangout B.
I purchased those exact sequins on my first foray to Cartwright's a few months ago. They were great for my narwhal holiday ornament project. I am now desperately trying to forget Cartwright's exists. 😆
There are some professionals beaders! Some Haute Couture houses bought some prestigious ateliers in the last decade to save those crafts. The most well known is Lesage, but you can also find Atelier Montex that does it with incredible new materials like beads made from concrete. Anyway, I love watching you do it. 😍It feels like being in one of those creative houses.❤
Thank you! I suppose I have Lesage filed as embroiders in my brain for some reason, but mostly /with/ beads and sequins of course 😂 I guess most professional embellishing experts do both embroidery and beadwork. I tried to take Lesage's summer course back during university, but they were fully booked the year I was in Paris. I was able to take a day class on tambour from the RSN in England though, and the guest teacher was an American professor...who had studied at Lesage! So many layers of telephone, but I was glad to learn the skill any way I could 😅✨
You inspired me to buy some beads and sequins finally to make myself some beetle and bug buddies. But I am in the middle of sewing hundreds of plastic spiders to a hand sewn wedding dress for ECCC... but I'll get there! Love this color scheme!❤❤
Love that shade of green, it’s so pretty with the matching streak in your hair. You tube unsubscribed me for some reason but it’s lovely to have caught it and to catch back up.
I guess I could see how some might find dragonflies icky, but I have always liked them personally. I love the shiny wings and the sounds they make as they fly around. Also they are great to have around if you live in a heavy mosquito area as they will chow down on them like crazy. I love these broaches, I really DO NOT need another hobby but dang if I don’t wanna make one or ten for myself.
Hi Bianca - this beetle/beadle is so pretty. It would look great on a gray background as well. Have you thought about beading a bag and/or a pair of shoes? I would love to see your take on those items. Regarding fall leaves, I’m originally from New England, Boston, MA. So I’m particularly interested to see your leaves. Fall is my absolute favorite season. As always, your work is not only beautiful, it is inspiring as well. Thank you - Susan
I love your beading videos. They are lovely even when doing something similar to another project. It's beautiful! Your cats made me laugh. My daughter has an orange cat who likes to bite can and bottles! When she rescued him she had to rearrange her place so he couldn't get to any. He also clears the table of all glasses and cups during the night.
The filigree bits could perhaps be used to make hints of the wings poking out from under the wing sheath, like it has just landed on you. Just a thought. Again very lovely and I really must give it a try.
I’ve loved dragonflies ever since I was a small child; they are just so beautiful. One of my other favourites is the stag beetle; magnificent little creatures.
The beading looks great. Prefect match for the tourney dress. Looks like a perfect project to distract the head bees. If dragonflies are out what about dragons?
*heart hands in Bianca's direction* ...I too have had some challenging brain times in past months so know that many of us here are cheering you on whether the brain decides to serve up for you that day

Take the time you need. Recycle some old videos, we'd still love it, watch them, click the like button. You are very, much appreciated. (smiley sad face)(smiley happy face)(big grinny face) and just because I do know how to use emojis 👌
What a lovely, soothing video! such a cute little beetle, can't wait to see where you end up pinning him onto, as well as what other secret projects you have in store
It's always lovely to watch you beading, so you certainly don't need to apologise for repetition to me! I live in Brno, Czechia, & the coat of arms is horizontal white & red stripes. One block of flats in town has an enormous Brno Beetle mural on the side of it, almost exactly like your brooch, but striped. I hope your secret project works out!
LOL cats and seltzer.... I knew a horse who was terrified yet intrigued by the coach's thermos and she eventually had to get a plastic one cause he broke three glass ones by suddenly poking then... and my bunny does that anytime anything new is on "his" carpet... and he bolts when I sneeze... my last one was fine with sneezes but panicked at sudden laughter... I hope your Seltzer Incident was less exciting to clean up than my Turneric Incident, where the gremlin that usually lives in my computer decided to vacation in my tea cabinet and shoved the jar of coffee out causing a pyrex measiring cup full of turmeric tea to somersault through my kitchen, hitting the fridge, the stove, the upper cabinet, the base cabinets in front of the sink and across the kitchen, the dishwasher and of course the floor. And me. Thankfully it's a transent dye and faded out of the linoleum relatively quickly. Always love beetle content! Amusingly enough I found a shieldbug in my house last week (it's frigging winter, dunno where it came from) but I don't know where it went. Oh well. I'm sure the bunny will find it and be terrified yet curious.
@@TheClosetHistorian I was wearing a cotton dress at the time (white and purple plaid and of course the biggest splotch was on a white area) and it only took two washes before I couldn't find it, and I can't tell which white kitchen towel it was that I used to wipe it off the linoleum.
I am sorry if this comment is too off topic. I watch A Lot of sewing videos. It is really interesting to me to see how many of the UA-camrs own animals and feature them in their videos. The interaction between the influencers and their animals show a completely different dimension of all their personalities. I would love to see a short of all of your cats thundering through the living room or exploding a Seltzer bottle in the kitchen! How many do you have and what are their names?
Ha! When I have my own place perhaps, but I live with my family currently and their house decor style is not my "aesthetic" 🤣 I have three cats, which are/were my family's cats, but they stick to me like glue, so when I find a house they will be coming with me. I post them on Instagram often!
Beautiful beetle! I really need to make more bug brooches, I have a half finished one in The Pile that's going to be a velvet mite. Have you ever tried brushing the turkey stitch on the moths with a little wire brush to make it fluffier?
Beautiful work, I love the mosaic style used in the red beaded quadrants. It looks amazing. I love the idea of a koi and/or maple leaf embroidered piece! That would make an intense back panel to a jacket, and it your style it would be incredible to see. (Also, as you were talking about brain bees, I was wondering how they can be rendered in sequins and stitches…)
Why did I immediately think of a clutch/handbag when you mentioned beading a maple leaf? It would take such a lot of beads though. Unless the fabric underneath was somehow correct for the design too. Hopefully everything goes well with the secret project 🤞

I love that the beetle got its own tiny boss!
Thank you! The satin finish sequins and the opaque are colorfast, the colored metallic ones tend to be more sensitive to their environment, so I try to handle them as little as possible 😅
I love the giant dragonflies... I kept intending to make a few, and then a Victorian explorer's ensemble that I could wear to conventions with a giant net and attaching them to in order to participate without knowing anything about the Fandom involved... but cest la vie 😅 Sudden desire to research the affects of the atmosphere in this Era on human anatomy 🤔
I have always thought that tiny lizards, turtles, peacocks, fish, birds, and butterflies are beautiful. My cats are always in my sewing room. I have to be careful about how I store many things, to protect my two little buddies. Your red beetle is very pretty. Have you ever made a cat?
I think I was one of the ones who requested a Dragonfly -- it's a shame that they're particularly unnerving to you 😔 Regardless of what you're up to do, I look forward to more of your beaded creations!
I mean, I think the obvious choice for potential new animals/creatures to adapt into beadwork are reptiles. Snakes or lizards- ooh, what about crocodilians?
