The whole quote “Joking aside, great progress was evident in the last Congress of the American "Labour Union" in that among other things, it treated working women with complete equality. While in this respect the English, and still more the gallant French, are burdened with a spirit of narrow-mindedness. Anybody who knows anything of history knows that great social changes are impossible without the feminine ferment. Social progress can be measured exactly by the social position of the fair sex (the ugly ones included).” The whole letter has a comedic overtone mimicking conservatism while scathing it, Marx definitely supports women working with equal pay.
Thank you for making these videos. When I meet someone who is interested in opening their mind, I often turn to your website. Today, I see that you have been published by one of my favorite publishers that I support. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 And you redid your website!!! It is organized so well. Thank you for helping me grow into the anarchist that I am today and helping the future persevere.
Anyone that doesn't believe change is possible should go back and see how things really used to be. We ain't free. But in a lotta ways it's much better.
nowadays i don't date or hook up with anyone, that way no one has to deal with me as their toxic bf anymore of course, i still have to work on healing my toxicity and unlearning my patriarchal entitlement for everyone in my life - friends, family, coworkers, comrades, people in youtube comment sections, etc
At least Errico had a better take on the "role of women". Any idea about the importance of full beards among socialist of that time? Was there any ideological reason for the beard or was it mostly to seem more manly to boost ones patriarchic status? Thx for the tidbits and have a nice evening - greetings from St. Imier=)
The beard was partly fashion but it was also so if the state decides you’re a bit too revolutionary to be allowed to exist you can shave and become unrecognisable for your quick escape.
I was asking myself what Engels' opinion was on these resolutions? He wrote the Origin of the family, private property and the state after all. So I would expect he wouldn't have shared, or at least put into question, these patriarchal convictions.
"Insert photo of your toxic ex-bf here," Don't call me out like that Zoe, jeez
Thanks Zoe. Always a good reminder to live the ideals and principles everywhere, all the time.
Agreed... The revolution is forever inside me. Good reminder for me to go home and cook dinner!

It would be so nice if the international had no flaws to begin with, maybe we would be in another place right now.

Wait you seriously gave up the bag so you could be politically correct?
