One of the biggest changes this game needs IMO is less hand holding. EF22 was basically manual defending and everyone complained because they actually had to control their team, in fairness it was harder and many struggled, but fast forward to EF24 and you barely have to defend at all, your AI defenders move themselves into amazing positions, there are some games where you can barely pass the ball because the second you get possession your opponents team all instantly move into perfect positioning and cut all passing options. The main issue with this I found is that it makes RTG accounts so much harder to play at top levels, I was Div 1 in EF22/23, I didn't play EF24 until about 6 weeks ago and for EF24 I started a new account on PC rather than Xbox. So I have a 2.9k rated squar, and I literally never come up against anyone rated below 3k, 3.1k is the average strength of players I face. Because of this, I've seen the effects of hand holding more, where my opponents constantly have Rijkaard and Vieira, with Maldini etc in defence. I'm using GP mbappe, Florian Wirtz, POTW Foden, they are good cards and I can use them well, but it's practically impossible to beat cards like Vieira consistently when playing in Div 2/1 when the game just defends for them. The only hope I have of consistently beating these teams is If I can take advantage of a mistake or a poor piece of positioning, and it just doesn't happen much in EF24 compared to previous games. The end result is every single game not only am I at a disadvantage in terms of team strength (I don't mind this) but I'm also at a huge disadvantage in terms of player positioning because when the game holds your hand, stats become ridiculously important for the fine margins. Konami implemented more hand holding to benefit the average new player, but the result is that players like me in Div 2/1 with a below average team strength are playing against brick wall defences. If I make a single mistake I concede, if my opponent makes 20 mistakes it doesn't matter because one of his Epic cards will pull him out of trouble. EF24 could easily be the best game of the series, right now it's in the worst state it's ever been in IMO.

I agree with the 1st point. I experienced many times where the player froze for about 2 seconds after they've stumbled. And i hear Esports players complaining about whoever made a successful tackle or interception should win the ball everytime

No, there's definitely a gameplay update. That's why the middle number changes. Version 4.00 will be eFootball 2025 which is when, if the edit mode is complete. We'll see ML released.

Hello, I have been playing pes since pes08 ALOT until pes 2018 mainly offline with friends, then switched to fifa. recently I watched one of your videos about defending and you mentioned something I really never thought about which is the 1 sec lose of control after you get dispossessed. it was always annoying me but I never noticed the pattern.. one more thing is the replays, it's very annoying to stop the game and show a replay of a random foul..
The main issue I have with freezing is when I use super cancel while my player is chasing a stray pass from my teammate (to start blocking a passing lane or something) then my player still freezes after the pass gets intercepted
They also need to work on the turf, it is literally the same turf from PES 2011. Also, the lightning, because the game rn feels and seems so flat with no depth at all. The atmosphere, the crows, make the turf more reactive to the footsteps, and add more animations, because the gameplay rn feels so so so dead, it literally feels like a beta version or a prototype of the game.
Agree with you mate, the freezing definitely needs work asap and the responsiveness I'll have a loose ball go by a defender and he runs past it lol, hopefully the new update will be a good one love the content keep it up
I remember they added the player freezing because most tackles you wouldn't get the ball back 😅, however it's just a rubbish band aid for larger mechanical issues with the game engine, which they must be tied into using (like the animations).
Also - because they have been trying to get cross-play from mobile to console they've had to use an 'old' Unreal Engine to ensure old mobiles still run it - so unless they ditch mobile to console cross-play - we wont see Unreal Engine 5 usage for years.... they haven't even added the basic options for higher frame rate or resolution which is mad!
Yep, goalkeeper issue and player freezing for sure! Agree too with the online play, so frustrating with the lack of responsiveness. I’d really like them to improve the jostling, it just doesn’t feel natural, quite often my player will try to shield and the opponent just runs around and takes the ball. The other feature is the use of the barge button when tackling, soooo many times it just results in conceding a foul which just is not a foul in a million years. Basically renders it a meaningless button and I don’t use for fear it just results in a booking 😂
I had times when my goalkeeper moved completely away from the goal on its own and tried to sell me😂. I was playing my league (derby match) with the fixed legend difficulty.
Too much motion with all the players.. I dont know how the stamina is working, they are always all over the place. The concept of conserving energy when they are not with the ball is missing. Momemtum has to be implemented correctly where fatigue and stamina has to be taken into account of... I always say this - most players are so busy trying to get back to their position even when the ball is right in front of them and they dont even react when they see the ball, they are so busy going back to their position. Looks so unnatural.

As for the players' response, I can say that they look like zombies who have just consumed fentanyl. But I maintain the same thing, don't hope that it will improve, it is designed that way on purpose. And if it happens that by some miracle they decide to fix it, it will only last a very short time. The difficulty level of the AI (that is, the players you don't control) in online mode is even worse than beginner, I would call it pathetic level. I hope I'm wrong.

Freezing players is still a thing with full epics and I dont like it and dont want a toggle option for anything, just prefer them to make a fluid game without the b.s script....and I'm ok with the GK if they rushed out on their own because I can double tap Y too keep him on the line or did they remove that?🤷🏼♂️

New high score in stupid player animations. In yesterdays event I used Real Madrid. My loaned Joselu ran straight for an open goal tap in, ball rebound from post or goalie. But instead of using his foot, he decides to lie down and hit the ball with his head 🤯😂 Ball speed reduced to sloooow the goalie now has time to knit his shoes, call mum, have a cup o tea and then save the ball. The other guy tapped out shortly after, it was still a tie. What is this lie down header crap? Has anyone else experienced it? Is it Joselus signature move?
When Konami releases new updates do we need to install them ourselves? Coz I always see messages saying "if you install the update before a set date you get a gift". In the case where it is on us how do we do it?
Player freeze has been issue since Efootball began, they didn't fix the issue in 3 years Absolute nuts from Konami. Also the Divisions or Online events should be more rewarding like Outfits or Booster players. Astonishingly the Mobile Version of Fifa have better contents.

They had solved that with the start of the 2024 season back in August 2023 along with many other things such as the response of the players, etc. They even announced it in writing! And they did indeed solve it, but only for two weeks, during the second maintenance they returned the gameplay to the previous version and all the improvements disappeared. Doesn't anyone realize that they do it on purpose? You guys think they are so inept, really? What I'm telling you is evidence that they can improve the gameplay, but they don't want to. They want manipulated, chaotic gameplay so that everyone can win and not lose interest in the game.
The game itself is miles off. I hate to compare it to EAFC, but I have to. EAFC is too arcadey but what it has is beautiful animations, fluid controls, lots of different ways of shooting and passing all by using various button combinations. Football is about creativity and Konami heavily restrict creativity because it’s essentially a one button game. One button to pass, one button to shoot, hold down one button to defend. It’s a game for kids, I’m talking toddlers, where not much thought is needed to play it. Efootball needs the biggest overhaul that any game would have received in the history of overhauls to be good. But it’s never gonna happen because all the wallet warriors buy every pack Konami throws at them and as long as that keeps happening nothing will change.

Player freezing, yes it’s fucked. Keeper improvements, I’m kind of indifferent because I enjoy manual keeping. Responsiveness, game feels fine as it is but yes, 3.0.0 was so so good. Connectivity will forever be cheaped out on by Konami. Player responsiveness to loose balls would be great. I still play fuma and if they tweak that I’ll have MUCH more fun. They also need to sharpen up super cancel. It’s not as potent as it used to be at all. That can be lumped in with player freezing almost because players hesitate when they change direction with it.
