On my Michigan license plate, the hole spacing created a challenge. I had to put a washer under the whole mount to push the mount toward the rear a bit. Even though I have no rear pegs or exhaust bracket. Then I had the use the washers under the anodized rings. I could BARELY fit the lock nuts between the plastic tail section. If I had to do it again I'd drill the plate holes a tad bigger. Hindsight is 20/20. Looks awesome though!
Not this tail light because the single R model does not have the pockets in the tail components. We need someone local to bring us the bike so we can analyze what can be done for that model, but nobody has volunteered yet.
@@TSTindustries so I finished installing the lights and the low license plate bracket. Im really impressed with how every looks, the wife said it looks like it supposed to lol. Lights are nice and bright so its form and function wrapped up in one. The license plate bracket is perfect its tight up against the body and the hardware is hefty. Great job guys.
Thank you for that. We appreciate your input. The only way we can continue to provite top quality parts is if we get proper feedback from the customers who use them. If you do get a moment we would appreciate a review either on Google or on our website. Thank you.
@old man strength the connector for the fender lighting on the older gen of that bike houses the ground, positive license plate light, and positive left/right signal leads. There is no one good scheme to separate that out, and schools of thought on that disagree. So we have come up with several solutions. Our universal license plate light includes posi-tap connectors that enable you to connect your license plate light into the appropriate circuit. This way you can connect your license plate light without fuss to any setup you are running. Ok, so that was a description of the simplest approach. If you are running our integrated tail light then your installation will be using our special harness that takes up that four position connector that I described above. In this instance you would use the posi taps from the license plate light kit to connect into that harness (red and black). If perhaps you are running our aftermarket signals connection harness ( tstindustries.com/tst-universal-rear-lighting-harness-flash-rate-controller-bmw-s1000rr-s1000r.html ) then you would connect your license plate light into the black and red wires on that harness. If you are building some exotic setup from your own design you can also just pick up one of the BMW specific four position connectors that we sell so that you can easily make the setup per your design. Here is just the connector tstindustries.com/tst-male-plug-connector-bmw-rear-lighting-harness.html
Imagine thinking we didn't consider that but black hardware isn't stainless and can corrode... We used to include black hardware in all of our fender eliminator kits but it was more expensive and would rust/corrode over time.
I ordered both today, shipped the same day
5 star rating so far
Thankyou tst

I'll volunteer but I think im way too far from you
What happens if i dont hook up the license plate light? Is it gonna throw the code ?

Imagine supplying BLACK hardware..... on a BLACK closeout & a ALL BLACK UNDER TAIL..yet they do stanless..
