This past weekend, Mike Wolf of MTH was in my hobby shop and I spoke to him about that. He advised that as long as the smoke stack fan is off when you fill the smoke oil reservor you should have no problems. most of the smoke fluid will evaporate and yes an insignificant small amout may fall back on the track whci you normally clean of. I don't plan to have the smoke running all the time.
Well the smoke fluid is most likely oil based and when the engine makes the "smoke" its just vaporized oil that will come back down on the tracks and scenery. Thats all =]
I noticed the tender on that challenger tilted to the right while going over a turn out around 9:12 in your video. Is that a problem with the type of wheels on the tender? I have not bought a challenger yet and will wait to see your review of this engine - which looks very nice and I love the chug of the smoke while it runs. Good sounds too.
Haha not you too, What 320-# is that pan am? i had the real 320-18 go down the riverine sub, & i have athearn's 320-26 haha, I'm diffently going to use that idea, although.... i don't have that big of a layout so maybe for the stageing yard?

Good eye, there is some spring action on the tender wheels which can cause a slight bump as it goes over the frog. Not bad though.

Oh. I didnt know you could turn it off. I only suggested that because I didnt want it to ruin your layout.
