The CMB CP gas masks are Russian Police gas masks, they are nothing special, they are just modified to CMB troops so they can breath and hide their faces.

I like to imagine that, someday, Valve will-out of the blue-release this trailer: Pure blackness and silence. Nothing to see or hear. It holds on this nothingness for 5 or so seconds. Then, a familiar voice is heard: "Risssse and... shine, Misssster Shephard. Risssse and... shine." And, without anything further, it ends, allowing our imaginations to take the wheel.

We wanted to visualize the other cities that the Combine control on Earth, which meant seeing the extent of different alien species under their control. We also introduced a new antagonist that is similar, but far more ruthless than Dr. Breen based off of Valve's early concepts.
I’m still working on a sequel nonetheless. It’s a franchise that is no longer relevant in the modern gaming world, only kept alive by the fans who hold a special place for it near their hearts. the parallels between the combine execution and the black ops units was genius-- and the hand-to-hand combat by shephard was just extremely satisfying and visceral. Everything from the intro to the jaunt in cpl. shephard's step was just grand. splendid animation. I'm glad opposing force isn't completely forgotten.
Quite possibly my favorite SFM video of all time. The graphics are stunning, the animation is beautiful. I unironically give it a 10/10. I'd love to see a film adaptation, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

This is true. A common mistake with new soldiers, policemen, and gun users in general is "recoil anticipation", where you subconsciously climb the barrel in anticipation of the shot. And no, GRILLD, "recoil" is not a thing if a round is not fired, regardless of whether you move the barrel upwards or not. The powder ignition generates the recoil. Get your own shit in order before you call people special snowflakes. And my profile pic is a Lambda, so... your argument is invalid XD
I love how the fight scenes in this are actually well made. Only a few people can make fight scenes in SFM that aren't at best clunky and unchoreographed.
Interesting short. I liked it. I really liked the expressiveness of his eyes through his gas mask, and that little PTSD flashback. The detail was simple, but well-done. Nice use of the darkness without making it hard to see what was going on.

This is a really good animation and the way Shephard can easily fight the combine metro cops shows how strong he is and how his punches can even effect the combine cops under their masks and armor, you gotta make some more episodes though this is amazing

I love how the fight scenes in this are actually well made. Only a few people can make fight scenes in SFM that aren't at best clunky and unchoreographed.

Interesting short. I liked it. I really liked the expressiveness of his eyes through his gas mask, and that little PTSD flashback. The detail was simple, but well-done. Nice use of the darkness without making it hard to see what was going on.
I know this is a while back, I watched your video...never understood it and ignorantly, not only I didn't subscribe to your channel, but I dislike the video! Only reasoning behind it was because I never understood! I now comprehend, because it is now, where and when I truly get to see the picture. Beautiful SFM Saxxy! This is a really good animation and the way Shephard can easily fight the combine metro cops shows how strong he is and how his punches can even effect the combine cops under their masks and armor, you gotta make some more episodes though this is amazing

I'm not saying it's bad but this animation for the revolver could have carried a bit more... suspense, possibly nuanced slightly for a better effect with this story's tone.
