As great as Charles Woodson's TD run was, the #1 moment in Michigan Stadium history has to be the '69 defeat of National Champion Ohio State when you consider all of the circumstances surrounding that game. It changed Michigan football forever. In the preceding years Michigan had trouble putting fans in the stands. Since then, the stadium has been full and Michigan is always considered a top-tier football program. All because of one game. It has to be number one.

Love this vid, and the memories and moments. However, the fans got this one wrong. It is impossible to say how huge the 1969 win over that school down south was. Michigan beat the best college football team (maybe ever) that year; it established Bo's program at UM; it set the stage for literally everything that came after it (including all of these highlights). It was, and remains, the upset of the century, and it should be number one on this, and all subsequent lists.

Number 1 will always and probably forever be Johnny Wangler to Anthony Carter - 45 yard miracle play with no time left for Schembechler’s team to beat Indiana. Never before, and never since, have the fans gone so crazy, for so long. No one wanted to leave the stadium that day. They hung around for an hour after the game, before they finally began to leave. Goal posts were tore down and paraded throughout the town. It was on the 100th anniversary of Michigan football, on Homecoming Day. Bob Ufer topped it off with the greatest radio call ever: “Johnny Wangler to Anthony Carter will be heard until another 100 years of Michigan football is played.”

Charlie Wood was such a great competitor, he was also fun to watch, BUT as a SC guy who played w/2 Heisman winners, the Des's punt return, Heisman pose. and Keith Jacksons call, was truly ALL THAT. One of the sweetness plays not just in Michigan history but in the history of college football. Period. Should be Number 1 ..hands down.

These are all excellent. But my favorite Wolverine moment of all time is still Leroy Hoard's big run late in the 1989 Rose Bowl against USC. Blue was ahead by 1 point late in the game, and the O-line gave Hoard a big hole to run through. Hoard broke a big one to put the Wolverines in scoring position. It was as glorious a play as you will ever see from a Michigan team.

Wasn’t around in 1969, but the 2021 victory feels a lot like that did I’m sure, especially after beating them in their place this year. Momentum shifts after years of middling success

Gardner will surpass both Harbaugh and Robinson in the History of Michigan football in only two years. The kid will be the "Miracle in Michigan" that bring the program back to dominance with the speed of Denard and the accuracy flare for the pass like Harbaugh. He will surpass Woodsen, and enjoy the ranks of the likes of Carter!

Woodson't touchdown was hands down most electrifying moment. So much was at stake, and it meant: game, Heisman, National Championship (we figured beating WSU was a forgone conclusion). I'd like to know who it was that threw that last great block to eliminate the final potential blocker.

Love the choices but top five should be Howard punt return, Woodson punt return, Carter catch vs Indiana in '79, Howard diving catch vs ND, Edwards catch vs Sparty, and a bonus six, Manningham catch vs PSU.

As it should be, the 2021 Big Ten Championship will come down to OSU v Michigan. I know Bob Ufer will be watching. We were at the 1979 Indiana game. For one year, we had season tickets at the 50 yard line maybe 20 rows up.

Saw every one of them. Remember every one.
Even though, technically, Michigan would have beaten ND without the Catch, I remember 4th down and commercial break and time out and like 15 years of delay for that play, and as soon as Grbac went back I said, "NO! Not a pass! What are you and idiot?!??!"
Grbac to Fire for it. He's going for it all... A DIVING CATCH FOR A TOUCHDOWN! HOLY COW! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?
My head still hurts from where it hit the ceiling.
THAT is my #1 play of all times in the Big House.

Here's how the top ten should look.
1 Woodson's return vs OSU by default of NC season
    2 69 OSU game
    3 Howard's catch vs ND
    4 Howard's Heisman return
    5 3ot vs MSU
    6 AC against IU
7 (and this will draw me hate but it did happen in Michigan Stadium) Cordel's hail mary for the amazing play it was
8 Woody Hayes smashing the down markers, I think 73
    9 Tim Biakabatuka's 316 yards
10 2011 ND under the lights (I know, didn't happen when this was made)

As a Michigan fan, I have to agree that it should be on the list. It was one of the greatest upsets in the history of the college football. Like the 69 OSU game. 2 of the greatest upsets in the history of college football have taken place in the Big House. Not to mention the Cordell pass, I think that was 93, was just an amazing play.

Another great moment in Michigan Stadium is when it was announced that Tressel was no longer head coach at Ohio because he got run out of town for cheating because it was the only way he knew how to beat Michigan. The Fuckeyes haven't beaten Michigan with a fully eligible team in over 15 years, I'd say Michigan still dominates!
