    I knew nothing about photography. Thanks to you I've learned a lot. I often come back to listen to your tutorials. The way you express yourself, the flow of your words, your concern never to disperse yourself and stray from the subject you've chosen to deal with make you perhaps the best "advice giver" when it comes to photography.
    From the bottom of my heart: many thanks.

    You are a great teacher Dusty. You explain things clearly, direct, and in the right speed. Your channel has wealth of information and you've helped me a lot already in understanding the basics. I personally find a lot of value in the knowledge you've shared. Especially grateful since I have an A6000. I enjoy each tutorial and I love how the A6000 videos are in small bites broken down by topic. The info and links in the descriptions are also helpful. Thank you!

    What kind of shutter speeds are you using for landscapes that require a tripod?
    If I'm above 1/10 seconds (in daylight im usually above 1/30), do I really need to carry a tripod?

    Hello. I fail to get a photo with stock lens where evrything is in focus, like i do efortless on iphone. I played with settings but no succes.
    Even in manual mode, if i set aperture in 11 shutter speed 1/100, iso on auto, and focus on wide, the image is not sharp enought, especially on cornes. How can i take a photo like i do on iphone where everything is on focus. What im missing?

    I never use a tripod in daylight. The thing I like about the A6000 is that it is lightweight and compact.

    how do I keep focus on what I want when I attach a LETS SAY "10 stop" ND filter to the lease? if I half press the shutter wouldn't the camera have trouble trying to find focus?

    • @mokumdutchy
      @mokumdutchy 4 роки тому

      First focus in auto mode, put the cam on manual, put the ND filter on the lens and mak the photo. but there is a lot you must do jusing an ND filter so find a proper tutorial for that kind of photography.

  • @fanboy7202

    Hello!!! Understanding this video was posted a while ago, but i am really liking this camera. But one thing is stopping me, what is the tightest aperture you can use on the kit lens? I saw you went to F/11 but the lens says F3.5-F5.6? Is 5.6 the highest aperture you can go?

    • @mart6571
      @mart6571 Рік тому

      Hi, those are the brightest possible aperture setting at wide angle and zoomed in. Zooming in usually reduces max aperture (increases the minimum f number). Zoomed in or wide angle, the lens can still go to a smaller aperture like f/11. I hope I explained it clearly.

    hey I want to ask, why on my camera I can't use the middle button to control the focus or move it like you did in minute 4:14? I try every step you give but still doesn't work. Please help me. thank you so much 😊

    • @saltedjellyfish
      @saltedjellyfish 4 роки тому

      After you set it to large and back into normal shooting mode, press the middle button and you should be able to move it now. You will have to press it first in order to move it

    • @saltedjellyfish
      @saltedjellyfish 4 роки тому

      And make sure that you're not in any form of auto mode, instead you should be in aperture priority (A), shutter priority (S), programmed manual (PM) or manual mode (M). This can be changed by the dial on top

    Hi Dusty, can I ask a noob question, aspect ratio 3:2 or 16:9 for landscapes?

    • @CarlBergsdorf
      @CarlBergsdorf 5 років тому

      I would probably still go with 3:2 and do all the cropping myself since thats what 16:9 essentially does for you but I guess it could help you with framing? If this is incorrect, anyone feel free to correct this information.
