Just my opinion, but I think it might be interesting for you to listen to all the BTS albums from the beginning until today. With all the songs, like you did with D-DAY. Each album had its theme, the first 3 were very focused on school, the next one was about young love, the next 3 about youth, then came WINGS, the "Love Yourself" trilogy.... You can really see how they have grown as artists and I think it's a good way to get to know their discography.
And some fun facts:
- Suga's song "Life goes on" is actually his version of the song "Life goes on" by BTS. They usually do that, each member makes their demo versions and then they choose one to be the final one.
- We reacted the same way when we saw that BTS didn't win the Grammy... At this point they've been nominated 5 times but haven't won it once yet. Anyway, the Grammys don't know how to appreciate real talent.
This video is very good, I think it's cool that you chose this one too to receive information about the group, this one goes deeper into the story.

i would like to clarify a little and add smth. Namjoon was quite famous in the underground rap scene. I know some people didnt want to be against him in a rap battle. If you look at his flow, his rhymes and punchlines, his delivery, especially on early mixtapes, i can understand why. ‘Shooting guard’ in korean is ’슈팅 가드‘. They took the first two syllables 슈가 (suga). And recently Yoongi aka Suga aka Agust D went to Jimmy Fallon, he agreed with that idk theory ig. Hobi had NO experience in rap. It is crazy i know. When he became a trainee for Big Hit, everyone around him, other trainees, had a background in rap. He said that sometimes they did freestyle and he felt left out. He practiced, studied and look at him now. Entertainment companies in Korea are doing auditions everywhere. They can sign a contract even just because of your appearance. A lot of K-pop groups dont write their own music. The most important thing is visual and performance. Jin worked hard to be good at singing and dancing. Jungkook didnt think he would be the main vocalist. As far as I remember in one documentary, he said that he wanted to dance. He has a very strong and stable vocal. its crazy that each of them could choose a different direction in life. It was definitely fate. Jimin also had no experience in singing. I will even say more. He attended more rap classes. When they first made their debut, Jimin had problems with pitch and said he was bad at singing live. He worked hard just like the rest. Thanks for your reaction!!

I appreciate your hard work. And will cheer for your success. 💜 Being real to yourself is the secret too. Their message shows in their songs, their real personalities , their joy and artistry. They are 7 persons who love art in all forms and want to make a difference. They helped me overcome a period of hardships in my life. Just watching them in Run BTS and them making me laugh , helped me a lot. Many ARMYS Will say the same. How motivating and inspiring they are. 💜💜
They chose Jin because they wanted a handsome member to star in the MVs they were intending to make. Jin felt very inadequate because of his singing so he worked go improve it. Also JK was only 13 when signed, 14 in Korean age, they count themselves as one at birth. JK was only 15 when they debuted.

Here’s a link to the version of “Savage Love” that BTS did with Jason Derulo. ua-cam.com/video/qvu4nPMyl3U/v-deo.html Jason had released an earlier version that did not do very well on the charts. After the BTS version went to number 1, Jason tried to claim all the credit and not acknowledge BTS at all and ARMY came after him on social media. Very dumb move on his part. It revealed the kind of person he is and his career has largely stalled since.
It's also worth to notice that after he behaved like an asshole towards our boys and us, ARMYs have stopped to stream the song and it quickly fell off the charts 'cause no one disrespects our Tannies like that. We generally don't mention him with the exception of an explanation of why we don't. After that, he took part in a New Year's Eve concert in my home country (Poland) organized by the right-wing propaganda TV station known for twisting the news to benefit them, all the shades of queerphobia and racism (yeah, racism... and he still accepted the job🤦♀) - think Fox News on steroids, so to say that Polish ARMYs really don't like him is an understatement of the year.

Agree. It is not peaches n cream! They are the talk of the town both positively and negatively! Even when after being belittled in the country, they went out and still had to do a lot of Western bull💩!!! They are being mocked and discriminated for their race, language, boy band status, and by superficial aspects by certain news, podcasts, and commentators. Just insane. They sure do deserve all the love after that treatment. Their journey is more than simply music.

Spring Day BTW is still charting (since spring 2017). Italian Army "what you still don't know about BTS spring day"
In 2018 RM spoke at the UNGA in English as part of the collab with UNICEF for their "end violence campaign" /"Love myself" campaign. In 2020 they recorded a speech in the midst of the pandemic. And in 2021 they got diplomatic passports at a ceremony in the Blue House to advertise the SDG (=social development goals) Moment of the UNGA and held a short speech to speak for the Youth and perform Permission to Dance there (they recorded it a day or two before as otherwise it would have been tricky). All of that is online.
While I understand the set-up for Dynamite - it makes it more dramatic - but it is not true. English as second language is very wide spread (big business, tourism, internet etc. it's a lingua franca) and this song was for Army: a reminder that life is good/fun in the midst of the pandemic (just because the US pretended Covid didn't exist - and had as a result one of the highest death rates - did not mean that other countries did or could)
Savage Love was successfull but did not manage to go to Number 1 before BTS dropped their remix (which wasn't even the first remix of the song - just the most successfull one). Since BTS remix sold more than the original version in that week BTS is rightfully named along Jason Derulo (who actually stole that song from the original creator and did not give credit to BTS either) at No. 1. Which BTW is super rare. Most people do not even notice that remixes exist (excpt if their favorite artist does it) and as a result remixes are pretty much never named as No. 1 song.

@@mojo3725 I wouldn't call it "rigged" per se. Unless there's something I don't know about, it's similar to the Oscars. There are so many old (and mostly white) people voting plus many of the voters don't even take time to actually listen to the songs, so they are only voting for the names they've heard about. We have many amazing seniors in the ARMY and that's the best example that the age doesn't need to be an issue, but those who are voting are well-known in the industry, so because of their position they often don't think that they have to educate themselves in the new music department and just go with their preconceived notions.

for butter v dynamite, i prefer butter if we take the first 5 beats away at the start (i have very sensitive ears and those beats ruin the whole song, it physically hurts me 😭) but butter is by far better. but i do love the dyna remixes
