Hi. Just got my Neti to try and clear post nasal drip problem. Your video is an excellent demo but when using find that one side ( L-R) works exactly as you show but on the other side ( R-L) the I’m not getting the flow through . Any thoughts or suggestions please ? Paul
Thank you for reaching out Paul - glad to hear that you found the video helpful for using your Neti pot. It's not uncommon to experience differences in flow between the left and right nostrils when using a Neti pot. Here are a few suggestions that might help improve the flow on the side where you're experiencing difficulties: Nasal Congestion: Check if there's any congestion or blockage in the nostril that's affecting the flow. Head Positioning: Ensure that your head positioning is consistent for both nostrils. Sometimes a slight tilt or adjustment in head position can make a difference in flow. Experiment with different angles to find what works best for you. Breathing: Focus on your breathing during the process. Taking slow, deep breaths through your mouth can sometimes help facilitate the flow of the saline solution through the nostrils. Adjustment of the Neti Pot: Try adjusting the angle at which you hold the Neti pot. Tilting it slightly more or less can sometimes affect the flow, so experiment with different positions to see if that helps. Nasal Cycle and Vasomotor Rhinitis: Keep in mind that the nose has a nasal cycle where every 2-6 hours, it rotates. One side congests while the other side relaxes. This is an autonomic process and can affect the flow during Neti pot usage. Additionally, conditions like vasomotor rhinitis can also impact nasal airflow. Deviated Septum: If you suspect a deviated septum, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation. A deviated septum can indeed affect nasal airflow and may require specific techniques or interventions for effective use of the Neti pot. If you continue to experience difficulties despite trying these suggestions, it might be helpful to consult with a healthcare professional or an experienced practitioner for personalized guidance. Hope this helps and sending awesome vibes!

To maintain your device's cleanliness, clean it thoroughly with soap and water after every use. After washing, it's essential to allow it to air dry, which means letting it dry naturally in the open air. This process helps prevent the growth of mold or bacteria.

Do not use tap or faucet water to dissolve the mixture unless it has been previously boiled and cooled down. Allow the mixture to cool to a tepid temperature before using it with your Neti Pot Sinus Rinse Bottle to avoid overheating, damaging the device or scalding your nasal passage - hope this helps
I keep trying but I feel the water is blocked inside the nostril I’m pouring it, almost feeling like I’m chocking. @@tarapooh99from what I have found even filtered water should be boiled and then cooled. There is a rare bacteria that can infect the brain if you don't do this. Or you could buy a bottle of distilled water and use that straight from the fridge.

@picspics2765 listen again. He said stop at half the bottle. When showing the other nostril he said with the remaining liquid…. And he shows what to do with it. I hope this helps you.
If the saline solution comes out of your mouth while using a neti pot, don’t worry-it’s completely normal! The nasal passages and throat are connected, so if your head isn’t tilted correctly or if there’s congestion, the solution might flow into your throat and exit through your mouth. To avoid this, tilt your head sideways and slightly forward, keeping your forehead and chin level, and breathe through your mouth while rinsing. This helps guide the solution through the intended pathway. With practice, it gets easier!
Great comment! The varying airflow from one nostril to the other during nasal irrigation with a neti pot is a normal part of the nasal cycle, influenced by factors like the current phase of the cycle, head position, congestion levels, and individual anatomy. It's essential to maintain proper technique, including using the correct saline concentration, tilting the head for drainage, and gently blowing the nose afterward. Persistent or severe congestion should prompt consultation with a healthcare professional for further evaluation. Sending awesome vibes!
when taking prescribed steroid nasal sprays for allergic rhinitis, can you still use the neti pot? I guess do the netipot treatment first and then take the nasal spray?
Good question! After using the rinse, you may continue using your nasal spray as normal. You may even notice that they work better - sending awesome vibes
The best non surgical thing to try is steroid spray. My ENT described it as basically an Inhaler for your nose. If you go see a doctor you can get the high strength stuff prescribed otherwise you can buy the low strength stuff over the counter (look up Flonase). I would say a neti pot will still help though. The best thing I’ve found is using the Neti Pot to clear out my sinuses, jumping in a hot shower and then two sprays of steroid spray into each nostril. (Source years of nose and sinus issues) been doing that each morning for the last week and been getting more relief from it than just using either steroid sprays or neti pots separately

When i switch sides halfway into the process, i don't get the same velocity from the rinse, so it just drips at a slow rate
My sinuses are blocked but whats stopping my breathing through the nose is actually swollen nasal passages. Will a neti pot still help?
Did you ever try it out?
Why to boil the water?
So helpful thank you
You're so welcome!
Ordering it as we I watch your video. Can I use Celtic salt as that the only one I use at home 🥴
Sending awesome vibes! Use common household non-iodized salt (kosher salt with no additives is best)

Oh my goodness Abraham!!!
I had sinusitis since 2016 and I feel instant relief! Feels so fresh breathing through my nose. I only had a tiny bit going through back of my throat but corrected my posture and it went great.
Only think I’m wondering- soon as I started I was tearing so much, is that normal? 🤩
@@alenkamoore7262 That's amazing thanks for sharing and yes sometimes when you first start the new sensation can make you tear up a little but you've probably got used to it by now, sorry for the late reply!

My problem too😢
is this okay for post nasal drip/catarrh? i've been dealing with this for about a year now
Saline nasal rinsing can definitely help with post nasal drip and catarrh - I go through it in more detail in our latest cough video. Sending awesome vibes!
Why non iodinized?
Do not use iodized salt. Save your money and avoid buying expensive salt sachets. With our Neti Pot Sinus Rinse Bottle, there's no need for them. As instructed in the video and instruction leaflet, you can create your own saline solution at home using readily available non-iodized powdered salt we all have at home (kosher salt with no additives is best). Iodized salt contains additives, like iodine and anti-caking agents, which irritate the sensitive nasal passages.

Great information Abraham. I think it would be amazing if the Neti Pot,could come in 2 colours ( maybe Pink). So the girls don’t have to share with the boys? Or maybe the ends of the Neti pot could be coloured ?
