This song is what drove me to purchase the Live CD, it's so jam packed. The tempo produced by Haruna and Miho is blistering and intense. Asami's vocals reach an ear shattering pitch several times throughout the song. Midori and Miyako's solos (and twin guitar ensemble) that are both serene and elegant. The entire performance is just incredible. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Champ! Rock on!! 🤘🤘
Reminds me of Am I Evil when it starts. And Miyako was like 4 months pregnant at this concert

Miyako did music of course (as always), and arrangement. Midori wrote her own solo (as always), Asami lyrics. Only that genius Miyakos mind can combine like Slayer, Testament and Metallica pieces to create something like this. Love all of them but Miya is a true mastermind. Love that girl!
I'll simplify it for you....
Lovebites has modernized late 70's through the 80's metal. They've stripped away the sweat and the constant on stage amplified movements. The production is pristine with Lovebites live and in studio. This song is their most evil. Red stage. Miyako's and Midori's guitar tones were strikingly dark. The harmonized 3rd leg of the solo run was beyond perfection.
Your reaction to this song is probably the closest to my feelings I've heard articulated in the reaction world. You're analysis was so on point.
My metal journey started in 1971 with Zeppelin, and 50+ years later I say with no reservation that Lovebites is the greatest metal band I've heard, and is easily in the conversation of greatest metal band ever. The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath, live from Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on the Five of a Kind tour, is my favorite song(s) ever. Because of this performance, I consider them one song. They are perfect together. I've only had two all time favorite songs before Lovebites, and that was Kashmir by Zeppelin, and Ghost of Perdition by Opeth.
Yes, Lovebites melting your face since 2016. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.

Miyako described “Set The World On Fire” as Thrash Metal. The album’s producer had them change the middle arrangement just before recording

I'd offer the thematic theory that this is a part II or latter vibe track to When Destinies Align.. love it.
That pedal work made me think of a super fast Jimi Hendrix. He could synchronize the pedal and the picking in a delicious way.

Honestly this band is the best that has happened to metal. Since they came. How many other bands have this skill in everyone of the members. And sound this good live. Cant think of any... In our current time that said..

yes he tried to separate the music, by doing a rock only channel, and leave the Kpop stuff on the other channel, turned out to be too much work/time, so he is recombining the channels back into the one champ of medium.

Sorry, man, but that chorus is not in "major". It's still in a minor key. It may be played more up tempo, with more emphasis on the vocal melody, but the chords still imply minor.
