I just wanted to say something about Haruna, the drummer. Being one myself, Haruna has a very different skill set that sets her apart from us mere mortals. For example, and the plainest to see, is her drumming style. Most of us, especially in a concert like that, hit somewhere between normal and hard but if you look at Haruna that is very different in that it's how she tunes her set to give the most apparent tone it can without hitting it with grim death. Then it's her cymbal work that is also impressive in that she puts her phrases together quite unlike most drummers I know, professional or otherwise. Her technique allows her to play in such a relaxed way so that her drumming comes through clearly and without overexerting during the set. Amazing.
Appreciate a drummer's opinion. Always thought Haruna is something special, my favorite of all time! Size probably doesn't matter, but 4' 9", cmon now. Just think of that physically. 🤘🥁

During "Ride for Vengeance Tour" Miyako (brunette, guitar), whose expression you are discussing, was 4-5 months pregnant . For you to understand, for Miyako it is: - already the third concert of the LOVEBITES Tour, - playing technically complex music (guitar, piano, keyboards), - performing backing vocals , - 2 hours , 18 songs, - during the Covid-19 pandemic, when you can get infected and infect an unborn child. At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. A very tense situation was created, many people got sick, people were dying. The Japanese government declared a state of emergency.The LOVEBITES concert tour ( national "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" ) was rescheduled from January 2021 to March - April 2021 and took place with mandatory anti-COVID safety measures: the hall was not completely filled (the number of viewers is limited, many people who wanted to get to the concert could not buy tickets) maintaining social distance between people, viewers must stay where they are, everyone is wearing masks, temperature control (in humans), hand disinfection, are not allowed to express their emotions loudly (shouting, sing ), only applause is allowed, etc. LOVEBITES risked their health during the "Ride for Vengeance Tour 2021" concerts. Unlike the spectators, they were not wearing masks. In addition, before the concert, a few more hours are spent preparing for the concert (setting up instruments and equipment on stage, rehearsing, etc.) These are also risks for Miyako and the rest of the ladies, because you have to contact with a large number of people at this time on stage. They even had social distanced chairs with assigned seating. There was a boxed off section apparently where you could stand in front of your chair, but even that was distanced. There's a funny part in the live DVD where Asami yells to sing with them then realizes the crowd isn't allowed to sing, and starts laughing and waves them to not sing.

Miho and Haruna started Love Bites after the dissolution of Destrose where they first met. Playing flat out for a two hour set, while five months pregnant? Myako is a bad ass! And talk about tiny! Haruna is, I've heard 4'9" of pure POWER! And Myako's concentration come from the fact that she's the principal song writer sharing duities with Asami's lyrics.
In 2023, the tour in Japan will start in the summer. In an interview for a special LOVEBITES magazine project (2023), LOVEBITES' producer Sugiyama said that several bands have offered to accompany them on tour and he is considering which one to accept. LOVEBITES' international tour will start in 2024. In an interview for a magazine project after the resumption of activities, the girls also said they wanted to tour abroad. There will probably be a USA and EU tour. They did not tour in USA in the past. Before the tour plan, it became difficult situation all over the world. Let's wait!

Great reaction!! After their success in Europe i think Lovebites were preparing for a US tour when the pandemic hit the world. They have said recently in interviews they want to go there and also come back to Europe, likely to happen in 2024!! In the 2021 concert definitely no pits, it was held under strict covid restrictions. Even shouting and yelling wasn‘t allowed. That‘s why you only here the polite applause at the end like in a classical concert …

We haven't seen Fami live with the band yet, theres a Blue ray from one of their latest lives coming out soon tho. She has a lot of energy too, just a different type. While Miho was all power stances and headbaning, Fami is all smiles. She has a lot of technical skill too, great at fast slapping, double thumb, etc. So im really looking forward to hearing the basslines in all their upcoming material.
They are releasing the new DVD/Blu-ray with the new bassplayer Fami in august-23. Knockin' at Heaven's Gate is the name of that concert. Recording live over 2 days. Be sure to buy it!

Can't wait to get their new dvd to be released in August so I can see Fami in action through a whole concert. Fami has only been in two videos so far, Stand And Deliver and Judgement Day. Another great Reaction guys. You have Definitely seen Miho several times. Fami started in Oct '22 and only appears in 2 videos - *_Judgement Day_* and *_Stand and Deliver_* . Miho had some personal issues, and she actually stayed with the band after her _'departure'_ to record *_Nameless Warrior_* - which is a retrospective song about the band moving forward into the future (many in the Wolfpack believe Miho IS the Nameless Warrior). BTW, Miyako is learning English and her channel now has English subtitles. Miyako (piano/guitar) was 3/4 months pregnant here and still rocked out hard for the entire 2 hour set. COVID meant less than half capacity, social distancing, no yelling, jumping or singing and clapping only was allowed, in other words a sterile venue. Yet the ladies rocked out like they were in a crazed rabid fan packed arena. This show was the usual stunning spectacle you expect from LB, except Haruna/drums and Asami/vocals really stood out. Miho is a dieheart metalhead and is like a bobblehead doll when she plays. This concert was Miho's last with the band so you will get a lot of bittersweet reactions from the Wolfpack. You will love anything this band does LIVE and with Miho they did more Thrash as she is a Iron Maiden devotee who is a Harris fan girl. Miho never gave herself enough credit, she is a great bassist, no one plays in Destrose and Lovebites with all the talent around them without being world class themselves.

Midori and Miyako have been to the US before for NAMM 2020 I believe. Each were playing for the companies that they are sponsored by. Those videos are on UA-cam if you look.
The closest Anyone in LoveBites has been to the US is that Asami was a foreign exchange student for a couple of years, in Hawaii, if I remember right. Also, Midori and Miyako were featured artists at NAMM in 2020 for their respective companies (ESP and Dean). They drew a formidable crowd each time they were there.
The new base player is only in two vids, stand and deliver, and Judgement day. They r both studio vids. So, if u saw a live concert vid, you have seen the old bassists before.
Hate to break it to you guys but this is the 5th time you’ve seen Miho. Fami has only appeared on two MV’s, but will be featured on the upcoming “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate” live show (as will I, as I’m in the audience..😂).
They were breaking out internationally during covid, so they couldn't tour internationally at the time. Then they lost Miho. That put them on hiatus for a while. SO yeah, they are a little behind, but they are racing to catch up. World tour probably coming in 2024.

You are right. Lovebites have not toured America! Individually they have been there, Asami, Midori and Miyako! They have however toured the Uk with Dragon force, played in two major UK festivals, Bloodstock and Download! They were also the first female Japanese band to play Wacken and a couple of other open air festivals. Why they have not yet played america is up for debate. The European audiences have an appreciation for this type of music and since Lovebites have an infinity with NWoBHM of the 80s you can see why the audiences do like them!! I suspect you will see them again at Download and Wacken in the near future!!
I am convinced the reason that Miyako (dark-haired guitarist) looks uninterested is that while she is playing guitar, she is writing new songs in her head. She is a music savant!!
This is actually now my favorite Lovebites performance musically. I loved the heaviness of the song writing in this one. I will never completely love the vocalist though, just subjective personal preference that I prefer to understand the lyrics.

I either read an article or watched an interview, but the Band wants to come to the U.S.. They want to become better at English before they do. I know Miyako really wants to tour the U.S.. In her UA-cam channel, she mentions that the whole band is working on their English and then she stopped as if she either wasn't sure what to say next or felt she might have shared to much when she began to mention the 2024 plans for a world tour. I sure do hope they come to the U.S.. I already told my Boss that I will be sick for a few days whenever they are close by.

Only the new album has the new bass player all the other songs you've done had the old bass player. In the beginning when you first started your end they singing English not in Japanese. In the beginning it's hard to hear because she has to pronunciate so hard but now if a new album she's not pronunciate you so hard so her English has gotten better. But it was haruna that actually started the band and asked me who to come in because they played with Destro

For the unaware, Haruna is the tiniest of the tiny trio at 4'9" - Asami is 4'10" and Midori is 4'11" - I believe Miyako and Fami are both 5'2" (not sure about Miho).
They are on their 3rd base player.... this is my 1st time hearing the first bassist, however, I've heard the 2nd bassist a lot and really really like her, though I appreciate the heavier attack from the 1st one.
Miho the X bass player was badass. we miss her. But Fami the new member is another level. No offense to Miho. but in my opinion, Fami is an upgrade. SORRY MIHO.

Miho and Haruna started Love Bites after the dissolution of Destrose where they first met. Playing flat out for a two hour set, while five months pregnant? Myako is a bad ass! And talk about tiny! Haruna is, I've heard 4'9" of pure POWER! And Myako's concentration come from the fact that she's the principal song writer sharing duities with Asami's lyrics.
In 2023, the tour in Japan will start in the summer.
In an interview for a special LOVEBITES magazine project (2023), LOVEBITES' producer Sugiyama said that several bands have offered to accompany them on tour and he is considering which one to accept.
LOVEBITES' international tour will start in 2024.
In an interview for a magazine project after the resumption of activities, the girls also said they wanted to tour abroad.
There will probably be a USA and EU tour.
They did not tour in USA in the past.
Before the tour plan, it became difficult situation all over the world.

Great reaction!! After their success in Europe i think Lovebites were preparing for a US tour when the pandemic hit the world. They have said recently in interviews they want to go there and also come back to Europe, likely to happen in 2024!!

In the 2021 concert definitely no pits, it was held under strict covid restrictions. Even shouting and yelling wasn‘t allowed. That‘s why you only here the polite applause at the end like in a classical concert …

We haven't seen Fami live with the band yet, theres a Blue ray from one of their latest lives coming out soon tho. She has a lot of energy too, just a different type. While Miho was all power stances and headbaning, Fami is all smiles. She has a lot of technical skill too, great at fast slapping, double thumb, etc. So im really looking forward to hearing the basslines in all their upcoming material.
They are releasing the new DVD/Blu-ray with the new bassplayer Fami in august-23. Knockin' at Heaven's Gate is the name of that concert. Recording live over 2 days. Be sure to buy it!

Great reaction. This video was my introduction to this awesome band and it has been a hell of a ride since them. Can't wait to get their new dvd to be released in August so I can see Fami in action through a whole concert. Fami has only been in two videos so far, Stand And Deliver and Judgement Day. Every thing else released so far included Miho.
Another great Reaction guys. You have Definitely seen Miho several times. Fami started in Oct '22 and only appears in 2 videos - *_Judgement Day_* and *_Stand and Deliver_* . Miho had some personal issues, and she actually stayed with the band after her _'departure'_ to record *_Nameless Warrior_* - which is a retrospective song about the band moving forward into the future (many in the Wolfpack believe Miho IS the Nameless Warrior). BTW, Miyako is learning English and her channel now has English subtitles. Miyako (piano/guitar) was 3/4 months pregnant here and still rocked out hard for the entire 2 hour set. COVID meant less than half capacity, social distancing, no yelling, jumping or singing and clapping only was allowed, in other words a sterile venue. Yet the ladies rocked out like they were in a crazed rabid fan packed arena. This show was the usual stunning spectacle you expect from LB, except Haruna/drums and Asami/vocals really stood out. Miho is a dieheart metalhead and is like a bobblehead doll when she plays. This concert was Miho's last with the band so you will get a lot of bittersweet reactions from the Wolfpack. You will love anything this band does LIVE and with Miho they did more Thrash as she is a Iron Maiden devotee who is a Harris fan girl. Miho never gave herself enough credit, she is a great bassist, no one plays in Destrose and Lovebites with all the talent around them without being world class themselves.

Drummer Haruna and Bassist Miho were in Destrose before Lovebites with the Nemophila Guitarist.
Midori and Miyako have been to the US before for NAMM 2020 I believe. Each were playing for the companies that they are sponsored by. Those videos are on UA-cam if you look.
The closest Anyone in LoveBites has been to the US is that Asami was a foreign exchange student for a couple of years, in Hawaii, if I remember right. Also, Midori and Miyako were featured artists at NAMM in 2020 for their respective companies (ESP and Dean). They drew a formidable crowd each time they were there.
Miyako was also at NAMM in 2018, I met her there that year....Midori was at NAMM 2020 with Kemper amps and Miyako was there with Peavey amps.
The new base player is only in two vids, stand and deliver, and Judgement day. They r both studio vids. So, if u saw a live concert vid, you have seen the old bassists before.

I could be wrong, but I think Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) toured the US when they were with their previous band, Destrose.
Hate to break it to you guys but this is the 5th time you’ve seen Miho. Fami has only appeared on two MV’s, but will be featured on the upcoming “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate” live show (as will I, as I’m in the audience..😂).

They were breaking out internationally during covid, so they couldn't tour internationally at the time. Then they lost Miho. That put them on hiatus for a while. SO yeah, they are a little behind, but they are racing to catch up. World tour probably coming in 2024.
Also, for a great intro to the encore of 2020 concert, Awakening/Hammer of Wrath and from the same concert, Break the Wall, are two great songs to check out.
Miho the original bassist her idol is Steve Harris of Iron Maiden.

You are right. Lovebites have not toured America! Individually they have been there, Asami, Midori and Miyako! They have however toured the Uk with Dragon force, played in two major UK festivals, Bloodstock and Download! They were also the first female Japanese band to play Wacken and a couple of other open air festivals. Why they have not yet played america is up for debate. The European audiences have an appreciation for this type of music and since Lovebites have an infinity with NWoBHM of the 80s you can see why the audiences do like them!! I suspect you will see them again at Download and Wacken in the near future!!

This is actually now my favorite Lovebites performance musically. I loved the heaviness of the song writing in this one. I will never completely love the vocalist though, just subjective personal preference that I prefer to understand the lyrics.

I either read an article or watched an interview, but the Band wants to come to the U.S.. They want to become better at English before they do. I know Miyako really wants to tour the U.S.. In her UA-cam channel, she mentions that the whole band is working on their English and then she stopped as if she either wasn't sure what to say next or felt she might have shared to much when she began to mention the 2024 plans for a world tour. I sure do hope they come to the U.S.. I already told my Boss that I will be sick for a few days whenever they are close by.

Yeah, the comments on the bass player missed the mark - you've seen Miho in 2 other reactions, while Fami has only been in the music videos, which I think were the first two you watched, and of course she won't be going crazy there.
Only the new album has the new bass player all the other songs you've done had the old bass player. In the beginning when you first started your end they singing English not in Japanese. In the beginning it's hard to hear because she has to pronunciate so hard but now if a new album she's not pronunciate you so hard so her English has gotten better. But it was haruna that actually started the band and asked me who to come in because they played with Destro

Yes, LOVEBITES have not visited America. Very few Japanese bands come here. BABYMETAL, BAND-MAID, and now NEMOPHILA are more able exceptions.
MODORI, MIHO, and MIYAKO are all providing backing vocals here. Yes, MIYAKO looks bored because she is focused on creating tight harmonies with MIDORI.

The drummer's height may play into her foot position choice.
For the unaware, Haruna is the tiniest of the tiny trio at 4'9" - Asami is 4'10" and Midori is 4'11" - I believe Miyako and Fami are both 5'2" (not sure about Miho).

They are on their 3rd base player.... this is my 1st time hearing the first bassist, however, I've heard the 2nd bassist a lot and really really like her, though I appreciate the heavier attack from the 1st one.
Miho the X bass player was badass. we miss her.
