I would suggest using some adhisive on the back of those stencils. It holds them in place as you paint to prevent bleeding. Test it first to make sure it does not harm the underlying paint job. Good painting ! 😁
Few qstns. The base paint is a primer water based? The acrylic paint would stay if water pours over?? And o assume these are all terracotta pots right.
Hi Genesia, The turquoise and polka dot pots were painted with spray paint prior to decorating, The swirly one was done with chalk paint and the final two were done with acrylic paint. I would not use the non spray paint ones outside without coating with a clear sealant first, both inside and outside the pots. And yes these were all terra cotta pots. Thanks for watching.
I'm going to have a go but may I ask, what is Flotrel? I'm currently in the middle east and need to knl6of there's an alternative to this product. Thank you
Floetrol is a pouring medium. You can get it through Amazon, that's where I buy mine. I'm in Canada. I have a link in the description box. Let me know if you can't get it, and I will do a bit of research. Where in the middle East are you? Love that part of the world :)
Hi Rachael, The polka dot stencil is from Re-design with Prima These are awesome. I linked to a different polka dot stencil in the description box. And I also linked to another one from Prima, that is on a roll, it is tea roses and is really beautiful. Amazon doesn't currently carry the polka dot one, but just go to Redesign by Prima's website, and you should be able to order it directly. Thanks for stopping by!
HI Linda, I used a couple of different brushes. Most of them were purchased at Home Depot. The short angled brushes are Wooster. And the round brush is a chalk painting brush. I have provided link to both in the description. Thanks for stopping by :)
Hi Seema, The first pot was done with spray paint, the second was coated in spray paint, and the polka dots were done with chalk paint. the third pot with the swirly stencil was all chalk paints. The last 2 pots were done with a mixture of acrylic craft paint and floetrol. I hope this answers you question. Thanks for stopping by!
These are awesome! Got to try these. It sure beats paying those outrageous prices for pots and make it your own!
And the raw pots are super cheap to buy at the dollar store and Walmart. thanks for stopping by Sheila
