I am currently 16, I am going to be 17 soon and since I need a part time job I am considering babysitting as I have always loved children and loved to be around them. These tips were also extremely helpful, I have watched my little siblings,cousins,ect. But never a strangers child and I wanna make sure I am prepared and I think these tips made me feel that way! When I was cleaning up the playsets I accidently snapped off one of the barbie house's doors. Whoops. Had to go to home Depot. It was all too much. Respect for babysitters

These are both very "fine line" issues. You have to be very, very careful. If you feel it is inappropriate or harmful, talk to someone you trust like your parents and get their opinion before reporting anything.
You can take a babysitting course online or if they offer classes in person in your area you can do that. I will be offering an online course in a couple of months.
As a babysitter we dont watch any screens during the time I am there. What we will do is play hide and seek or the floor is lava. They are little kids so they can deal with 2-4 hours with out screens.
You are never too young to build your knowledge though! You may not be able to physically work with kids but you can sure do the research on how to work with kids in a fun and safe environment!
