I've honestly always loved your channel, but haven't checked in on you for a very long time, this video was a welcome surprise especially because I was feeling down
After the traumatic results of the election, your content is comforting and I appreciate all you do. Nature is where I find peace. There is so much beauty left in this world. 🍯 🌱💙
Could you possibly make a video about honey or syrup that tells us say 3 or 4 different types of herbs & what they can be used for medicinally or magickaly. I know elderberry is good for immune boost. Maybe something for calming/anti-anxiety, sleep, uplifting/energy, or any other that youve tried or recommend. Those are just a few things I struggle with. But would love to learn other remedies as well. I 💚 your book & can't wait for the next. & all your videos! ☮️🌿🍄🌼
I absolutely adore your recipes Annie. So far the favourites in my home are the chamomille cakes, and the handpies (my aunt makes the most delicious jam, so I made them with that, and it became kind of a family collaboration). Honey always brings me back to the best parts of my childhood, so I'm eager to try this one. All the best to you, and greetings from Argentina (english is not my mother tongue so I apologise if there's any mistake)
🌲🍀🐾 Delicious looking herbal honey. Your workspace is so relaxed looking. With seating & a radio off to the side, for when a break is needed, assuming Hazelnut lets you use "Her" chair 🐕💺😎💚🐾🍀🌲.
I love your videos! A question if you’re using elderberry, how do you make it safe if it’s not simmered? I make elderberry syrup right now and the berries simmer for an hour. Thank you!
The slow method looks amazing, how long did it take to strain and how much honey did you get back? Also where is your other puppy? I only saw one in the video.
would you just put the left over herbs in a tea strainer to use it in tea? or what do you do with them. also is it preferred to not consume the elderberries (after youve made the honey)?
yes! I usually just add them to a regular old tea strainer for herbs that are safe as infusions or something like the elderberries I will make into a decoction because they are safe once they have been simmered for a while. Sometimes I also just put the herbs I use into my compost :)
Hey i dont wanna come across as rude or anything but may i ask what your learned job was before you became an influencer and an author? Because i absolutely adore the way you live, and I'd like to build a life similar to yours (just with more animals), but it seems so expensive and when i have a full time job i expect it to be pretty stressful...sorry for this overthinking message but if you or anyone could help me I'd be very grateful❤
most of the time I use elderberries and then craft the honey into elderberry syrup but truly you can use any herb that you would use to make an infusion or tea
This is exactly the information I need right now
so glad I could share it!
Herbal honeys also make great gifts for people! It's wonderful to see how much others enjoy them as well

Herb infused honey is really a great thing to boost the immune system for the season right now.

i’m wondering if you could use the hot infusion for fresh herbs? or would that still mold when stored?
What tea mix would be good with elderberry honey?

@@TheGreenWitch Can we use the leftover berries from the honey for the decoction for the syrup?

What herbs do u use in ur medinal honeys?
most of the time I use elderberries and then craft the honey into elderberry syrup but truly you can use any herb that you would use to make an infusion or tea
i use ginger, garlic and oregano. not all 3 in the same jar.
I like sage and lemon in my honey
Remember to only use raw honey.
Would this work with vegan honey?
I believe that it would yes!
It works just fine, but obviously you don't get the benefits from the honey.
