These were my numbers. Thank you so much! I’ve been aggressively saving for retirement and this has been super helpful to know I’m well on track. I appreciate it!
Love your channel, I've been subscribed for a while now! I am curious what the calculation in the withdrawal phase would look like if you adjusted your withdrawal to be 4% of whatever your balance was at the time - not the starting balance. Is this something you could show with a calculation? Assume the same $3M starting balance, but adjust the calculation to show what % of your portfolio at the time (not your starting balance) could be spent without ever running out of money (or, at least within 30 years of withdrawal).
If your withdraw 4% of the remaining balance each year, you will always have 96% left each year. So you would never really run out of money, though your withdrawal amount might eventually become too small to live on. But I can run the numbers in a future video.
Love your channel could you run the numbers for the following situation. 43 with 670k saved looking to retire at 65. Have monthly contributions of $500. Would like to also withdrawal 120k per year during retirement. Thinking I need at least 5 million to sustain. You can add the cost of living increase.
