When it comes to conservations about the who are the best bass players, you have to include Jimmy Haslip as he's up there with the all time greats. When you hear him, you know straight who it is. I loved his legendary work with The Yellowjackets and his two solo albums, 'Arc' and 'Red Heat' are just beautiful. One of my favourite bass players of all time and an amazing human being.

Jimmy is one of my favorite bassists of all time! He really doesn't get enough credit as a stellar bassist who is very original. The Yellowjackets is one of my favorite bands ever! Their debut release was PHENOMENAL!!! Since Jimmy left the Yellowjackets, they have never been the same to my ears. His playing on Gino Vannelli's Brother to Brother project was outstanding, especially on the title track!!!

Never seen or known of lefthanded guitar, me be ambidextrous played upside down all my life. Then when I was in my late 50s finally bought a left hand guitar and had to learn all over again. None the less, great interview Jon . Really enjoy Jimmys work
