Hey, I just really like treasure planet. Maybe they could even do a sequel instead? Also, I've been meaning to watch Atlantis but just haven't got around to it yet.
You know if Disney decides to make a live action movie adaptation of a property that's not an animated movie, then I have one suggestion... *GARGOYLES*
I wouldn't mind a GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE remake, because since you got Robert Downey Jr. on the Marvel team, you can have him voice Basil and it'd be sort of a sly wink and nod to Downey's past as Sherlock Holmes.
I honestly think Black Cauldron CAN be remade. Heck, Korey on the show a few times said he would LOVE if it got remade. With stuff like Game of Thrones bringin' back the whole Sword and Sorcery wave, I could see it bein' updated with todays technology and with stronger story writin'.
I'd watch a Pg-13 version of Black Cauldron, I kinda like the idea of a darker Disney fantasy, akin to something you'd find in an LOTR trilogy perhaps. fine line, though.
I was not sure Disney had the rights to make Black Cauldron, but it seems they re-bought the rights to the book series last year. Hopefully this time they adhere closer to the book/s in story and in characterization.
With Norte Dame, Disney made a musical that dropped the gargoyles and inner beauty stuff and replaced it with a deeper story of corruption and oppression with an ending closer to the book. That was amazing! A live action version of that could meet or surpass something like Les Miserables.
I'm surprised that when Korey said "Remember Martin, never say never!" he didn't bring up the age old "oh yeah guys, remember when Martin said an Avengers movie would never happen?"
They'd totally remake Robin Hood with 3d animation. Brian Howard and Richard Moore, the art directors of Zootopia, claim that Zootopia takes place in the same universe as Robin Hood. It's definitely possible and most likely already optioned.
"Shanghai hong kong egg foo yung.." *"SHIT! 0_o"* Put me in that wooden box, slide me into the hearse and parade me through the streets while people throw flowers from the roadside and have a minute's silence before all the following weekend's sports events because I died right there.
When treasure planet came up I sshouted "YEAH I LOVE TREASURE PLANET!!!!!!" out loud! MOST UNDERATED (DISNEY) MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!! Also, Zootopia was inspired (to a certain extent) by Disney's Robin Hood
The point of the end of hunchback was not that disabled people can't have love, it was a message that even if you don't have a romance with the one that you want, you can still be loved by others and accepted. It's a more mature ending than most animated films that would typically end with the hero gets the girl.
I can see them doing a remake of Robin Hood if they go the same path as Zootopia. I remember people saying Nick looked like Robin Hood. So if they remade it with the CG, I think it could work. Oh and Thanos throws a moon and Iron Man possibly dies.
I don't know about anyone else but brother bear was one of my favorite animated movies. The music was incredible, something different which worked, and the emotional impact was actually there, it made me cry and really feel for the characters.
The Black cauldron could be done if it was done as a series and not a movie. The movie was based on the best selling novels The Chronicles of Prydain that had a total of 5 novels so there was way to much to try to squeeze it into one movie.
Being a fan of The lion king since a kid, I trusted Jon Favreau making the movie especially after seeing what he did with The Jungle Book. People always say "you're ruining an already great movie!" but he's not.. he's creating something new and fresh for not only a new generation, but for the fans of the original.
I don't know how much people would be into this but I think it would be an awesome idea for Disney to bring back Gargoyles. Watching that cartoon again as an adult I would have had no idea that Disney that does princesses, princes, and happy fairytale endings would do something as gritty and at times dark as that show.
Man, I love Oliver and Company, but that's probably because it was the first movie I saw in the theater at like two years old, and I even remember seeing it in the theater. I mean, it's dated, but 80's New York is almost like a period of its own. Nostalgia bux and all that. Also "Why Should I Worry?" is my jam.
I saw it in theaters too but I don't remember anything about it because I caught an ass whooping that night for not doing my book report which was due the next day. I DO remember that ass whooping though!
Man I am glad I don't have any memories of movies I love tied with ass whoopings. Mostly they're tied with me having the bejeezus scared out of me as a kid or my sister throwing up during or after seeing them. To this day I still have not seen the end of A Muppet Christmas Carol since I saw it in the theater in 1992 , after it had to be restarted due to having the wrong film reel there, and my little sister barfed on herself near the ending. And then years later she'd barf up an entire box of Skittles a few hours after seeing the Special Edition of Star Wars in the theater.
we had the special DVD version for fanstasia 2000... I would watch that to sleep when I was younger.. when that orchestra sound played the nostalgia just came over me
Oh man, I loved Treasure Planet. Its so weird that it bombed cause it was great. Well, it still had the annoying joke sidekick but so did everything else. The rest of the characters were pretty golden.
Live action panel was amazing. Infinity War trailer stole the show. Thanos isn't going to disappoint. Worried about Mary Poppins returns, and after Mark Hamills comments at the panel I'm nervous about episode VIII. Hopefully my fears aren't warranted and it's gonna be just as good as episode VII. Overall I was happy. Parks and Resorts panel is a whole other story. Me and John Lasseter are gonna have to talk. Lol!!
In real life, Disney would have Michael Bay pull back on his shtick. He'd be restrain. Now Warner Bros, they would have Michael Bay do whatever he wants.
Not a remake in my opinion. But a Fantasia 3. Have Pixar or Disney 3D Animation Studios and make some cool things. They still make great short films, what if the go'ed to the next level.
I can see someone remaking _The Hunchback of Notre Dame_ and make closer to the original novel. It looked great in animation, and the songs were dynamic, but it did have its share of problems. The gargoyle characters were okay, but they kind of stuck out tone-wise. With _The Great Mouse Detective_, I can see it happening in a _Zootopia_ kind of fashion. But in terms of live action...I'd say keep the characters somewhat both animated, and "realistic".
Honestly? I would be interested in seeing either a Black Hole or Dragonslayer (arguably one of their most violent films made) remake or, at least, a blu-ray release.
M 17 Julia was way younger than Reese when she did the role. Reese needs to work with Jean-Marc Vallée from now on. He's the only guy who can get a good performance out of her.
These live-action Disney remakes bore the hell out of me. Tim Burton has a horrible track-record for remakes and hasn't made a particularly good film since the 90s. Pocahontas is just DESTINED to be some forgettable movie about a tropey heroin with a bow that STILL distastefully Disneyfies things and omits the ugly realities of her life. And Lion king will be what we JUST saw with Beauty & The Beast, a shot-for-shot remake of a "renaissance classic" that masses adore but critics and film fans question the whole point of, beyond an exercise in CGI and the gayening of Timone & Pumba.
I know it's not Disney but since we now can remake animation, I'd really love to see someone tackle classic Don Bluth, Secret of NIMH, An American Tail and All Dogs Go To Heaven, especially the first one!
Is it because she thought like many people did at the time of movie's release that putting Treasure Island in Space was stupid? By the way, have you managed to see the movie yet?
1992disney I still have yet to seen the movie and my mom just thought it looked stupid and didn't want to take me. My I was amazed as kid at the visuals from the trailer.
Just as I figured. Anyway, you should watch it when you get a chance! It's an amazing underrated Disney film that's really worth your time! You won't regret it! I promise!
I would be interested to see The Great Mouse Detective and The Rescuers in Live-Action/CG hybrid remake...? (In either motion capture animation or Computer-Animated)
I actually wouldn't mind seeing a live-action Brother Bear. It would give them the opportunity to address the issues people had with the animated film. I'm not really a fan of the metric ton of remakes we've been seeing BUT Disney is starting to pull me in with Aladdin and Mulan. I am weak. My would watch list: Live-Action Remakes: The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, Hercules (maybe) Zootopia Treatment: Robin Hood, Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers Down Under PS. It'd be hilarious if Disney did do a remake of the Sword and the Stone and they, out of all people, were the ones to get a King Arthur story right xD
I agree with you guys. When I was growing up I liked the fox and the hound. I don't know how well it holds up now. But it could possibly work as a live action.
Live action I would love to see: Little Mermaid Live action I would like to see: Aladdin Live action I would not like to see: Ratatouille Live action I would hate to see: The Incredibles (after waiting 13 years for a sequal, I would count this as a middle finger.)
Is it bad to say that the least preferred Disney films (Chicken Little, Brother Bear, The Emperor's New Grove) are my favorite?, though I really believe that Atlantis and Treasure Planet will highly work in live-action
I love Atlantis. Yeah it bombed, but the Beauty and the Beast directors did this movie and they had the first black princess with Kida who is ignored in the princess merchandise. Guess Disney can't have two black princesses. Sheeet, I have the 2 disc DVD for it. And yet, I love Treasure Planet even more and I think it was a bigger bomb and that was when Disney just stopped the big budget animation.
Sure the plot was generic, but it had some of Disney's most experimental art design, snappy dialogue, and some jaw-dropping set pieces. That whole sequence with the giant mechanical lobster is everything I could hope from a Disney animated Kaiju film.
José Aguilar No worries, I actually enjoy history, particularly early colonial history. Not to mention, I've researched many Disney films based on true stories, just to see how accurate they were. Thing is, Tarzan is actually my favorite Disney film, but I would consider it racially insensitive today, I didn't as a kid tho.
With Fantasia, it was because of Walt Disney's genius that this movie exists today. Its stood the test of time and is still a wonderful film. The whole idea of what the 3 types that this movie is made of, it cannot and will not work today. They tried with Fantasia 2000, and it didn't capture the same beauty. No remake will be made for this. Disney, I don't think, will risk remaking this movie. This was one of Walt's 1st movies, they may want to make money, this will not make them money.
Song of the South remake...
I FUCKIN DARE YOU DISNEY
what about, Song of the North, what does that sound like?
They won't. Bob Igor is liberal. So that's ain't happening.
Game Of Thrones theme song playing in background lol
Flame of Udun Morgan Freeman as uncle Remus
The fuck kinda rambling are you going on about?
A live-action Atlantis or Treasure Planet could be mind-blowing with the right director.
Hey, I just really like treasure planet. Maybe they could even do a sequel instead?
Also, I've been meaning to watch Atlantis but just haven't got around to it yet.
"Oh, you're gonna pay me... Or Im'ma roll over there and unplug your ass!"
Uh, Korey, you may wanna rephrase that... XD
You know if Disney decides to make a live action movie adaptation of a property that's not an animated movie, then I have one suggestion...
*GARGOYLES*
KCruzer omg yes please
KCruzer Everyone is rooting for it, but never say never
Gargoyles is the Tyrion Lannister of the Disney family.
KCruzer Yes sir indeed
*BOI*
I wouldn't mind a GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE remake, because since you got Robert Downey Jr. on the Marvel team, you can have him voice Basil and it'd be sort of a sly wink and nod to Downey's past as Sherlock Holmes.
Jesse Shade I would love to see that
Jesse Shade Better someone with a good British accent... Downey just sounded like he had marbles in his mouth.
+José Aguilar yeah
Jesse Shade how about Benedict Cumberbatch
I honestly think Black Cauldron CAN be remade.
Heck, Korey on the show a few times said he would LOVE if it got remade.
With stuff like Game of Thrones bringin' back the whole Sword and Sorcery wave, I could see it bein' updated with todays technology and with stronger story writin'.
I'd watch a Pg-13 version of Black Cauldron, I kinda like the idea of a darker Disney fantasy, akin to something you'd find in an LOTR trilogy perhaps. fine line, though.
FUCK YEAH!!!
Computer-Monster The books are fucking great, so I hope it does work
Computer-Monster Somebody cast a live action black caldron, Go!
I agree! I love the hunchback of notre dame, it has a very mature message you don't see nowadays in animation.
I'm surprised that when Korey said "Remember Martin, never say never!" he didn't bring up the age old "oh yeah guys, remember when Martin said an Avengers movie would never happen?"
I'm sure we'll get to that point where Disney'll make animated remakes of live action remakes.
Egor's Egor Well if y'all gonna buy tickets, why not?
Egor's Egor Yeah, within the next thirty years they will maybe make it down the road
Egor's Egor It's the circle of money
As a HUGE Disney fan and a lover of your kind of humor, thank you for this video. I really needed this.
They'd totally remake Robin Hood with 3d animation. Brian Howard and Richard Moore, the art directors of Zootopia, claim that Zootopia takes place in the same universe as Robin Hood. It's definitely possible and most likely already optioned.
Nick was inspired by their love of Robin Hood.
"Shanghai hong kong egg foo yung.."
*"SHIT! 0_o"*
Put me in that wooden box, slide me into the hearse and parade me through the streets while people throw flowers from the roadside and have a minute's silence before all the following weekend's sports events because I died right there.
Jayfive276 i forgot all about that goddamn cat im dying!!!
Haha, Korey's reaction to that Siamese cat was beautiful.
SWORD IN THE STONE is already being re-made
The point of the end of hunchback was not that disabled people can't have love, it was a message that even if you don't have a romance with the one that you want, you can still be loved by others and accepted. It's a more mature ending than most animated films that would typically end with the hero gets the girl.

Lazereye57 Absolutely agree
Would love to see Disney remake Tarzan, Hercules, or Lilo and Stitch.
Andy Aquino Me too😸
Andy Aquino
Disney doesn't own the rights to Tarzan anymore
Don't mess with the perfection of Kevin Sorbo. Any new Hercules will fail in comparison.
Being a fan of The lion king since a kid, I trusted Jon Favreau making the movie especially after seeing what he did with The Jungle Book. People always say "you're ruining an already great movie!" but he's not.. he's creating something new and fresh for not only a new generation, but for the fans of the original.
viam chatt In Favreau we trust.
Sheesh.. this comment aged like milk
I don't know how much people would be into this but I think it would be an awesome idea for Disney to bring back Gargoyles. Watching that cartoon again as an adult I would have had no idea that Disney that does princesses, princes, and happy fairytale endings would do something as gritty and at times dark as that show.

I mean, it's dated, but 80's New York is almost like a period of its own. Nostalgia bux and all that. Also "Why Should I Worry?" is my jam.
Cat Bountry bruhhhhh I fuck with that film too. Dodger was the original finesser to the female dogs.
Man I thought Dodger was the coolest when I was six and I was also convinced Billy Joel was the greatest musician that ever lived.
I saw it in theaters too but I don't remember anything about it because I caught an ass whooping that night for not doing my book report which was due the next day. I DO remember that ass whooping though!
Man I am glad I don't have any memories of movies I love tied with ass whoopings. Cat Bountry Also Oliver and Company was written by a man named James Mangold. Who made a little movie you may have heard of this year.
Some of my animated favorites I wouldn't want to see in live action though. They're great because they're animated.
we had the special DVD version for fanstasia 2000... I would watch that to sleep when I was younger.. when that orchestra sound played the nostalgia just came over me
All I want to see is a Live Action Lilo & Stitch
MightyNick100 that's disgusting
Have James Gunn as Director, people enjoyed his work on Guardians of the Galaxy.
it's been it's call E.T.
MightyNick100 it'll be a horror movie, cause Stitch will look scary as hell
Mae Borowski don't forget Scooby Doo 1 & 2.
Honey, where's my super suit? WHERE IS MY SUPER SUIT.
Chicken Little was one of my favorite childhood movies. WTF?
Oh man, I loved Treasure Planet. Its so weird that it bombed cause it was great. Well, it still had the annoying joke sidekick but so did everything else. The rest of the characters were pretty golden.
did they talk about kingdom hearts 3 at all in the audio version?
Live action panel was amazing. Infinity War trailer stole the show. Thanos isn't going to disappoint. Worried about Mary Poppins returns, and after Mark Hamills comments at the panel I'm nervous about episode VIII. Hopefully my fears aren't warranted and it's gonna be just as good as episode VII. Overall I was happy. Parks and Resorts panel is a whole other story. Me and John Lasseter are gonna have to talk. Lol!!
Michael Bay would have those crows they would be the main characters!
The Pink Elephant scene is nothing but multicolored explosions
Mae Borowski Hahaha so true and throw in some Transformer for good measure.
In real life, Disney would have Michael Bay pull back on his shtick. He'd be restrain. Now Warner Bros, they would have Michael Bay do whatever he wants.
mindfuk Dumbo might just be a Transformer himself, and his momma too.
Mae Borowski now I would see that train wreck, then have the military bomb the circus. Cast Megah Fox as dumbo's mom.
I just wish Disney would not remake their animated classics anymore, period.
I like the music from Oliver and Co. I love anything sung by Billy Joel
Man I love Treasure Planet so much, it needs more recognition.
I'm surprised they didn't bring up the live action Mulan remake
Goddamn I forgot about Fantasia. They for sure need to make a new one of those.
Not a remake in my opinion. But a Fantasia 3. Have Pixar or Disney 3D Animation Studios and make some cool things. They still make great short films, what if the go'ed to the next level.

Ryan Hartwell yeah I don't think people will be willing to watch a story about how books are taking over architecture as the language of the people.
Actually, Disney IS in the works of a live action Sword In The Stone by one of the writers of Game Of Thrones.
I'm surprised they didn't mention The Fox and The Hound.
They'll probably do a Hercules live action movie
Brother Bear is an awesome movie. The music is great. The animation is great. I would love to see a live action version of this movie.
Yh I love that movies
Brother bear is a great underrated Disney movie
Im bored as fuck, just listening to all these old videos while im under house arrest, but Korey done crack me up.
Honestly? I would be interested in seeing either a Black Hole or Dragonslayer (arguably one of their most violent films made) remake or, at least, a blu-ray release.
Think they'll ever remake the Kurt Russell classics like The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes or The Strongest Man in the World?
I'm so glad Martin brought up that siamese cat from Aristocats. Best part of that music number.
I dare Disney to remake the Jungle Book's Mowgli in a way that's closer to the book.
A live action Hunchback could be amazing. Not sure Disney is the studio to do it.
But... Disney pulled off Rocket Raccoon as a bipedal animal with clothes
Right? We don't mean literally have the animals look like animals, we want them humanized if you know what I mean.
That's a comic book movie.
TitanGear
True but they did explain him as a genetic experiment thingy. Think they would do that to explain Mickey & Goofy?
Mecha-Mickey and Guyver-Goofy
Trash Panda
Reese Witherspoon might be playing Tinker Bell. Lord help us.
Henry Barnill Eh, if anything she's just to old at this point. We already had Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell.
M 17 Julia was way younger than Reese when she did the role. Reese needs to work with Jean-Marc Vallée from now on. He's the only guy who can get a good performance out of her.
Where is Mulan remake?
I liked Brother Bear. And my sister loves Hunchback.
These live-action Disney remakes bore the hell out of me. Tim Burton has a horrible track-record for remakes and hasn't made a particularly good film since the 90s. I remember watching Black Cauldron as a kid and Correy is right when I saw the dead army it scared the shit outta me
We need a princess and the frog live action movie
The villain better have great effects in live action.
Even though it helps making Disney some business, I honestly don't think they're obligated to remake all their animated films into live-action
when is kingdom hearts movie coming out?
My mom refused to take me to go see treasure planet. I got all the action figures from it though
We should have to pay for this entertainment!
Sword and Stone is being made now and is pre-production.
Atlantis and Treasure Planet were the best Disney movies of their time and deserve to be classics. Supremely underrated
31:50-31:51 oh great, I spat out my drink on my desk XD
I'm already making deals with the devil for kh3.
Oliver and Company, Aristocats, Robinhood are among my favorites.
27:26 thats where the sequal comes in
Someone show Korey "We are Siamese" from Lady & The Tramp. Now THAT'S racist.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing a live-action Brother Bear. It would give them the opportunity to address the issues people had with the animated film. I'm not really a fan of the metric ton of remakes we've been seeing BUT Disney is starting to pull me in with Aladdin and Mulan. I am weak.
My would watch list:
Live-Action Remakes: The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, Hercules (maybe)
Zootopia Treatment: Robin Hood, Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers Down Under
PS. It'd be hilarious if Disney did do a remake of the Sword and the Stone and they, out of all people, were the ones to get a King Arthur story right xD
Disney can still have animated remakes.
Mannnnn when y'all showed the Real animal versions of Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, I almost choked on my blunt. Ha Ha Ha
Korey it going to be interesting which Disney animated gets turns into a live action movie
are we not talking about doctor who lol
We should probably start the countdown till Disney announces a live-action remake of Tangled and Frozen.
I agree with you guys. When I was growing up I liked the fox and the hound. I don't know how well it holds up now. But it could possibly work as a live action.
I remember watching the Aristocats but i don't remember the Siamese cat....yet that still is wrong.
Live action I would love to see: Little Mermaid
Live action I would like to see: Aladdin
Live action I would not like to see: Ratatouille
Live action I would hate to see: The Incredibles (after waiting 13 years for a sequal, I would count this as a middle finger.)
I disagree on Robin Hood. They could remake it as part of the Zootopia universe.
Is it bad to say that the least preferred Disney films (Chicken Little, Brother Bear, The Emperor's New Grove) are my favorite?, though I really believe that Atlantis and Treasure Planet will highly work in live-action
SHANGHAI HONG KONG I FU YANG!
fortune cookies always wrong!
31:49 LMAO
I just want a live action version of The Little Mermaid, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pocahontas.
No, Andy Serkis would be Chernobog.
lol Atlantis was the shit
I love Atlantis. Yeah it bombed, but the Beauty and the Beast directors did this movie and they had the first black princess with Kida who is ignored in the princess merchandise. Guess Disney can't have two black princesses. Sheeet, I have the 2 disc DVD for it. And yet, I love Treasure Planet even more and I think it was a bigger bomb and that was when Disney just stopped the big budget animation.
You don't need the "the"
Sure the plot was generic, but it had some of Disney's most experimental art design, snappy dialogue, and some jaw-dropping set pieces. That whole sequence with the giant mechanical lobster is everything I could hope from a Disney animated Kaiju film.
The Hunchback is probably my favorite movie, I gotta disagree with y'all.
after Zootopia a remake with animals in clothes in almost garuanteed
Hong Kong egg Fu Young is when I pissed myself that was so funny was not ready
Noooooo leave Pocahontas Aladdin and Lion King aloneeeee!
Oliver and Company and Sword in the Stone live action remakes have recently been announced!
Oh goddamnit, not Pocahontas. That's Disney at it's worse. Might as well remake The Song of the South.
Admittedly Pocahontas is almost unwatchable, but a reimagining could be done with the same idea.
Hey hey, I actually liked Pocahontas. I give it a pass, seeing as how it's based on a true story.
Dude, he's talking about the racist reappropriation parts, nothing to do with what it was "based on".
Colin Silver Google the true story. That's,what makes it so bad. Not even talking about cultural appropriation here.
"I'm gana role over there and unplug ur ass"
lol Corey says the most savages shit :D
They need to do a gargoyles movie with Greg Weismann writing the script
Atlantis & Treasure Planet were so underrated....
I thought the Sword in the Stone live action remake was in development
loooool 6:04 that was so messed up!!!!
Sword in the Stone is getting remade. It's being written by someone who wrote game of thrones episodes.
All I want is a live action remake of fantasia
Fantasia 2000 was beautiful. A sequel would be great provided that it's animated.
now that i think about Hercules should definitely be remade !!!
