I’m loving this so much too! They are so fascinating. Incredible how they get ideas for songs. So so talented. And Maurice, is my favorite. Not only musically but so handsome! Barry was a hunk too but Maurice, ooh la la. And Robin just has my heart. His voice can bring me to tears. Thank you so much for reacting to this documentary. ❤❤❤
I would say Maurice is gorgeous...Robin can't dance at all however I think he's adorable up there on stage really getting into Nights on Broadway...love love the Bee Gees...
Oh yes, Maurice was very good looking, and got better with age. All three were/are in their own way. Barry is usually thought of as the sex symbol by the general public, but from what I can tell all three have their fan crush following. I love them all, but have to admit Robin has a special place in my heart. Part 5 ended way too soon - lol. Another great reaction - Thanks!
YES, Mo was VERY CUTE!! I gave my heart to him, literally, when I was 12 and it never changed - that was 55 years ago!! ❤️💔❤️ EDIT: "Fanny Be Tender" was named after the older black lady, Fanny, that cooked and cleaned for them in Florida as a way to say "Love You & Thank You"! 😊 Once they'd recorded it, they brought her into the studio for a first and private/surprise listen! 🥰
Another example of pulling songs out of the air was "I Started a Joke". Robin said he heard the melody of the song in the engines of the plane they were in over Essen Germany. They all said songs came to them as if they were already written and simply sent to them. Often they all got the same ideas simultaneously as if by telepathy. One time Robin said I got these words last night and Barry, without even hearing them said, I know, I've got the melody for them. The concert video @2:43 onward is "Soundstage", an excellent concert and the individual voices come across very clearly. It's worth a watch. Notice @7:00 one of the few times Robin had a beard. He dyed his hair red to match his dog, an Irish setter. Barry always joked about that. I was glad he didn't have a Dalmation.
The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack included 5 new songs from them: STAYIN ALIVE, Night Fever, MORE THAN A WOMAN (+ cover hit by Tavares), If I Can’t Have You (+ #1 cover by Yvonne Elliman), and HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE. Songs from previous albums included were Jive Talkin and YOU SHOULD BE DANCING. You need reactions to all of these timeless hits. You should also react to Samantha Sang’s hit cover of their song EMOTION with Barry doing backing vocals, and Yvonne Elliman’s cover of LOVE ME. Their many hits for others are what had big names like Barbra Streisand asking for songs. Please add them to your list for reactions.
The episodes feel like they’re 1 minute long! I’m so into it and then the episode is done. I’m a Barry Girl but I think Maurice was cute when he was younger but got handsome with age. The same with Robin he just improved with age. Barry was always gorgeous. Great reaction like always. ❤️
Definitely cute! He's my favorite! And yes, better with age!! Musical genius! Just wish he would have sung more solos! ❤ Love them all for different reasons, just love 'em!!
Growing up with the BeeGees was a wonderful time, you never knew what kind of song they were going to come out with next cause they could sing All Genres of music Just a Great band and Family. Barry and his wife have been married for over 50 years. Barry did a country album last year with Dolly Parton and other great country stars the album went to number one. Islands In The Stream which they wrote for Dolly and Kenny Roger’s is in the top 5 country songs of All Time. Just a very gifted family
My response to your question about Maurice is that I thought he was the best looking during his late teens to mid-20's. During the 70's in the disco period Barry emerged as the sex symbol with his nice hair, height and overall good looks. Robin's looks were also very appealing. He was my favourite. Maurice didn't have the 'big hair ' which was the look back then. I think he looked better the older he got he had created a more sharp edgier look which we are now seeing in this documentary.
Barry had the traditional good looks but was not my kind. Better without the beard. Mo was a congenial sweet and cute guy. Robin actually said "I know what people think of me. I'm ugly but have a characterful face. I try to look nice.". When young he would cry to his sister that his brothers got the girls. I agree he had a characterful face but was NOT ugly. He was an awkward teen but in his 20's and 30's I thought he was so 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@susieq9801 When I first heard of the Bee Gees and became a fan, the images I saw of them was during the disco era and Robin stood out...I thought he was super cute, I loved his hair. Now that I have seen younger pictures of them I think Mo was the one with the looks back then. I didn't like some of hair styles on Barry back then. Robin went through an awkward teenage phase but still got my heart ❤️
