OMG you're a legend! I just googled "how to position a webcam on monitor" because I figured someone would have some helpful hack to position it better. I'm a coach and I find it really uncool not to look my clients in the eye when I'm coaching them, but I also find it weird looking up into the camera! I imagined how good it would be if it was in the centre of my screen, but thought that was a crazy idea that wasn't possible. Never in a million years did I expect to find this cool tool - and even better, have it shown and explained so well. Plus bonus points for how entertaining you are. Big new fan here.
exact same issue (Crazy big monitors are great when you have 5 things running in parallel) but the downside is the webcam on top is nowhere near you... You explained my challenge precisely - THANK YOU!!! (Unfortunately, I can't find this product isn't available here in the UK but it gives me direction.

This looks pretty neat because I narrate scary stories on UA-cam and I'm sick of not having eye contact or looking like I have eye contact while I'm reading stories and I don't wanna get a teleprompter
It's a great, simple, effective, affordable solution. I use this whenever I use the webcam, and now I can't help but notice when other people are looking at their monitors and not at the camera.

Peter, is there a way to operate a webcam with the laptop closed?
Great idea, but $120 for cheap plastic that’s hand glued and a camera that will not stabilize? No thank you. I could take thin wire and do this myself. Just wrap the wire onto your better quality camera and hang down on the front of your screen. A potato chip clip will work…$2 bucks for wire, the cost of the web cam and this is a lot less expensive than $120, for what essential amounts to the same exact application . The price on this is rather high. I wouldn’t expect hand glued poor quality for $120. This is what comes out of China, or is this where your having this manufactured? Sure looks like it.

I have no idea why this hasn’t been asked yet but, how the heck do you achieve virtually no reflection from your glasses?! I have the “upgraded” non-reflective option on mine but you can still see what I’m looking at on my monitors if I wear them in virtual meetings (so I just don’t). Tell me your secret!! Lol

It's a very nice video, and you're totally adorable. But... it'll be a pretty cold day in hell when I let this plexi-thingie lean on any of my monitors' panels, potentially scratching them -- or worse. So, the search goes on for a viable solution.

You can also use your Nvidia 40 series card to use ai to keep eye contact. . It works better.
