Watching Davey race for the win, knowing that he was soon to be gone...1993 was a *HARD* year for racing. The Adam Petty story is sad. The Earnhardt story is sad. The Kulwicki story is painfully sad. The Allison story is tragic. My heart still breaks for Bobby and Judy Allison. To the two of you, know: their time was short but their mark was made upon the Earth.
I still can't believe the seaon prior, too. Both Davey and Alan were battling for the cup in 92, then passing on the following year, 93 was a very tragic year
Ken Squier, absolutely incredible opening, gives me chills every time. It's sad to think of those who worked the race only Mike Joy is left now, with Ken dying in 2023, Neil in 94
16:08 race start 16:50 first caution 20:59 second green flag 23:18 second caution 32:52 third green flag 1:11:03 third caution 1:16:50 fourth green flag 1:34:34 fourth caution 1:38:56 fifth green flag 1:57:17 fifth caution 2:03:18 sixth green flag 2:56:27 sixth caution 3:01:45 seventh green flag 3:15:54 end of the race
Why were they checking Rusty's blood pressure and temperature in victory lane before he got out the car ? As I was watching this race I seen the date, July 11, and then remembered Davey had his accident the very next day and passed on Tuesday the 13th.
I know, tracks need banking for the drivers to carry speed through the turns, flat tracks don't make much sense if you're in a sport where the purpose is to go fast
New Hampshire actually has good racing, unlike the dozen 1.5-mile D-shaped ovals that litter the calendar. People like you ruined NASCAR. You just want to watch the same shitty race every week and don't care at all about how good the racing actually is.
I’ll never understand fully why oh why this race wasn’t run at my home track in Milwaukee. Jeff Gordon as cookie cutter Tom Cruise was the first sign of the end. Now this...
Last race for Davey Allison (Rip)
1st race for Jeff Burton & Joe Nemechek

Kenny Irwin died here too, this track sure seems to be closely tied to tragedy unfortunately
Don't forget the analist-driver Neil Bonnet

I love these old raw feed videos. Hearing them joke around during the commercials is pure gold.

Rusty slammin a MGD in the car before he hopped out and took a sip of Gatorade in victory lane...nice!
Perfect spot for Jeff Burton’s first race
Great win for Rusty, coming from the back of the pack....

If all the tracks they could have built, they chose a flat 1 mile oval. It couldn't have been a worse decision.

flat tracks are terrible for NASCAR

Aged badly.
Bob Bahre built that track. He's a gd man
that polish victory lap 😭
Good place for Joe Nemechek to start his first race. New beginnings
Rip davey
Did this race get rained out?
And thus the legacy of mediocre racing was born

That track sucks.
