Kanami recently became the 1st Japanese artist to ever be awarded a signature PRS guitar. Paul Reed Smith presented it to her as a surprise event where all the MAIDS were in attendance. It was very emotional.
So it wasn’t that one. Darn … thank you though
@@BigMikeReactions Yes, and only 200 made, and quickly sold out.
@BigMikeReactions I think the 6,000 you mentioned was the price tag in USD. 200 were made.
@@BigMikeReactions Kanami was not just the first Japanese to receive a PRS signiature model from the man himself, she was, I believe, also the first woman to receive a signiature model ever from RRS...
@@johancoetser906 PRS built a private stock limited edition guitar "Blooming Lotus Glow" for the female artist Orianthi back in 2017 which was made available from January 11-December 31, 2022.
A masterstroke - but then: so to say all their songs are. A phenomenal band, flawless in every respect. And let's never forget the vocal parts: Saiki is a phenomenal lead singer, but Miku adds so many small great things in a variety of subtle ways - it's a feast for the ears.
Yes, Band-Maid know how to warm the heart of (hard-)rock lovers. An important band.
The way Band-Maid blends genres into very dense yet super integrated music with new guitar tones (Kanami's first run in No God, and Corallium / Influencer, for instance); Akane's drum patterns, fills and beats which go beyond any rock drumming we've ever heard; MISA's second-lead runs, slap/pick/finger techniques, and that tone!!; Miku's unusual second vocal work and lyrics; and Saiki's rapid-fire, powerful singing style... all has Band-Maid if not busting out new trails in their core genre, then certainly setting new trends in rock music for all rock musicians to consider and be inspired by.
In short, I'd say Band-Maid is making waves by setting new playing, performance, and prolific work ethic standards that we'll see the results of for years to come. They've upped the game for all to follow! Thx, Big Mike!
Brilliant!! I that was perfect & very true! Thank you!!🙏
The reason it doesn't have subtitles is because it's not an official release by them. It's ripped from a DVD.
Fantastic song, one of my favourites by them. It was originally released as a b-side on the "Sense" single
"Corallium" is lead vocalist Saiki Atsumi's first lyrical composition. Rhythm guitarist/vocalist Miku Kobato also wrote lyrics for the song, but Atsumi's lyrics were chosen instead. The song is about the ocean, which she is afraid of. She stated that she thinks the ocean is similar to love - Wiki
Oh did they release a DVD of this? I keep thinking it’s a stream capture of the Zaiko Shibuya Eggman stream. 😊
@@TlanImass No, you are right! It's from the Zaiko stream or from Band-Maid Prime. They never released it on DVD, I have no idea why as it was pretty epic, and the sound was great too. Also, only this one song is on B-M Prime.
I am in Shibuya-ku as l type this. I saw Band-Maid last Monday and Tuesday at Zepp Haneda and Friday l saw Asterism. This was my 5th and 6th times seeing my favorite band. The other four times was in California. LA, SF and twice more in my hometown of Sacramento. I will return to Japan next May to watch them kick off the 2025 tour. We are Maidiacs. Soon you will be as well. Welcome to the "unseen world".
Very unseen from my perspective but 🤞that changes. I bet it was a blast!!!! Good 4 U! So jealous!! They are do so good! Thank you, I appreciate it
I was there at August Hall and The Ace of Spades. Kudos for making the trek to Tokyo. I’m even more impressed that you managed to secure tickets for shows in Japan. The whole process seems onerous.
"Corallium" is a roller-coaster ride!
Big Mike, great reaction and everything is done intentionally within a Band-Maid song! Maidiacs, if you want to see someone having an eargasm 17:05. "The Dragon Cries" (OMV) "Sense" (OMV) are a couple more suggestions for you to add to your list. Thanks for reacting to your new favorite band!
Saiki shares writing credits on this one. It's one of their most complex, intricate early songs ever.
She actually has full lyrical credit for this one though certainly they all help and contribute. By my count she is lyricist for 5 songs in total.
She seemed very prideful when singing so makes sense! Just so cool AF! 🤘
It isn't an "early" song. It is from 2022.
Corralium is BAND-MAID’s most Prog song to date.
Bandmaid and the Warning are talking about another collaboration, so here's hope for you!😉
Saiki's vocals and Miku's harmonies stand out to me the most in this song!
If it was Seiki (Say-Key) it would be spelled with an E. Saiki, with an A, is just like Psyche. (Sigh-Key). Watch her documentary and you'll never get it wrong again. Corallium is any precious Coral, usually Red Coral. And yes, MISA always plays Lead Bass, always. But no, that's not Kanami's Signature PRS. This video is a year old, and they just released her Signature model PRS last month, there were only 200 of them.
And now you know why this is my favorite Band-Maid song, along with Blooming! 😄
That’s coming soon. Lots of recommendations for it
It's also one of my all-time faves!
This song is so good, but really, I literally can't pick my No.1 fav.
Fantastic. One of my top songs and the best version to listen to. The Sense info notes says lyrics by Saiki only, the lead singer- her first solo lyrics. No one is going to complain about recognising Saiki's natural beauty. Thanks (UK)
When you get to see them live Saiki will have you totally mesmerized! Her charisma and charm is so captivating.....
Cannot wait!! Thank you
This song was from « Band-Maid - Pre Us Okyuji in Japan Shibuya Eggman » a streamed concert they held on September 2022, before touring the US. Sibuya Eggman is a tiny concert hall which is historical to the band’s debut. I should not say it, but you can find this whole concert on a chinese UA-cam-like platform I won’t name. The sound mix is one of the better.
Another great reaction
Corrallium is a genus of coral, so I think you are correct. I would need to study the lyrics to see if the title fits. As I understand, "Corrallium" lyrics were written by Saiki rather than Miku, which does most of the lyrics. Likely, Kanami is the principal composer, but these gals collaborate so much.
Nice! Did not know that. Definitely a fun one for sure
Band maid always come Minneapolis everytime they in the US
Thank god 🙏. 💯% going 4sure. Looks like a blast!!! 💥
This is false.
Band-Maid has only been to Minneapolis once ever.. August of 2023.
Miku has greater range, Saiki has more power.
They both work together perfectly!!
💜💛❤💙💚
Lol, I think the only thing MISA is afraid of is speaking in public. It's Kanami who is afraid of heights. Saiki is pronounced like "psyche". Versatility? How about checking out Miku's talent with a back to back reaction of the live and then the acoustic versions of "Sayonakidori" (with the added bonus of Akane singing)?
Saiki = non verbal vocalization of contentment + metal implement to disengage a lock. Sigh key = Saiki
🤬!! Someone had it wrong on Google. Thank you. Seriously I looked it up wanting to be right…. NOPE!! I do appreciate it. I think I e been saying it that way & thought it was wrong. My head hursts 😫 take care
Romanized Japanese vowels are the same as in Spanish or Italian. Even if you never studied either, you can patch it together from food. Saiki’s got the same vowels as pizza.
🤣
"Which one of them is afraid of heights? It's either MISA or Miku, one of those two!" Lol, it's Kanami! Also, since you asked, Saiki is technically pronounced with three syllables "sah-ee-kee," though just saying "sy-kee" (like "psyche") is a very close approximation.
Sigh-key or Sa-ee-kee works. I think in Nihongo the ai vowel combo is always pronounced as a long “i” like in ‘sigh’.
SKOL Vikings 10-2!
I would like to respectfully ask that you only use the official videos from the band's channel. This video is part of a concert that was streamed online and was illegally posted on YT. The band's official channel has many videos that can be used for reactions. Band-Maid is an indie band and their income comes from concerts, album sales and merch. Bringing more audience to the band's official channel would help a lot. Thank you!
Agreed!👍 I apologize, but you are correct. That is on me but honestly, thank you 🙏
