- A fun day of exploring the Southern region of Suduroy Island, starting my journey from Trongisvágur. I'll take you on a scenic drive through Lopra village, navigating the mountain road to reach Beinisvørð (Beinisvord). My adventure continues as I head to Akraberg lighthouse, passing through Sumba Village. From there, I'll venture to Eggjarnar and onwards to Vágseiði (Vagseidi) in Vágur village. Additionally, I'll explore Fámjin village, a significant historical site where the first flag of the Faroe Islands was ceremoniously placed.

A couple of days ago faeroish and greenlandish is accepted in the danish parlament. Their speaches in their own language will lay translated to danish. Strange it took so long to happen. The last bit of colonialism is then gode.

I dont know why the Faero Islanders never tell about the extreme beauty that the Faero Islands compose. Maybe because the danes thst only have a flat land would be sorry
I actually asked one of the local people in Saksun village why they don’t put more efforts into advertising their Islands more.
He said local people don’t want many tourists and have no desire to make more money out of tourism.
I think it is better that way because it is a pleasure to enjoy that natural beauty without the crowd of tourists. Most of the time, I felt the entire Island is to myself. I saw nobody, no cars, no traffic, nothing.
Just the birds, sheep, and me😊
