UA-camrs regularly receive product in advance of the release date in order to produce content abt the products, so consumers can make informed decisions once they're rdy for shipment. This happens in several ways. Sometimes they have to send it back. Other times the company fronts the cost for the advertising.

I've been using Tiles for years but In my opinion, air tag is best for iphone and ipad users. Tile require bluetooth and app run for 24/7 and their is some premium service for subscription. It makes me feel like buying a standard edition of EA games.
One thing to test that nobody has yet: if an AirTag is detected by an iPhone that is out of WiFi or Cellular range, does it log the AirTag communication and the location and update it when the internet connection is restored on the iPhone? ie. Can you drop it in the middle of nowhere and have someone find it (eventually)?
I believe it showed 4 ft away, because your phone was 4 ft off of the ground snd the tag was on the ground.. if you started bending over you would have had more accuracy...
Totally agree on the Belkins. They just nicely stay out of the way. And the luggage tags? I mean who wants one more long thing hanging from your bag for the automated luggage handling machines at airports to chew up? I put mine inside the existing short and strong leather luggage tag that Tumi includes with their bags and it works fine. I've never had one those torn off either because they have a short, low profile.,
I had to laugh on the edit for the Belling keychain. I had to use scissors to get the ring out of the plastic. He just did a video edit and blew off that inconvenience. Other than that good video.
I would like to see that. It seems like it would work better than the tile just because there are more iPhones and it has the ultra wide band chip inside and the setup process is way easier, but never the less it would be nice to see.

Don't let these Airtag holders hang off of your luggage , keep them secured inside your luggage. I use to work as a luggage handler and straps and things like this always fall off or got ripped off of luggage. Of course the idea is that if your luggage gets lost then you can find it with the Airtag features but if the holder gets lost now your just looking for your Airtag. Also can you opt out of the pinging your phone feature if someones airtag is lost?

As long as the content is good and the shots are good and what you’re trying to project is relatively decent anybody with no brain can be a UA-camr marvellous no disrespect to this channel it’s actually very very good.
The most important feature I'm curious about are the separation alerts. Not lost mode. Can you test how far away you can go before it notifies you that you left your keys behind? Walking vs driving away. Can be a good vs tile head to head to see which one notifies you sooner. Maybe toss in the chipolo as well
Feature? Warning that you about to leave your stuff behind ( wallets ). You might find them later but without your cash, cards, etc. good feature to have is a warning that you getting far from you item
I’ve only had one for about a month, attached to my keys. Twice it saved me from tearing my home apart searching for my keys. To me it’s already paid for itself👍P.S. Another ordered from Apple store for my briefcase arriving from Kunshan China via FedEx tomorrow✈️ Best thing since canned beer.
I don’t understand why, on the leather key ring at least, it wasn’t designed so the metal split ring secured the opening for the AirTag itself - it’s really easy/quick for some nefarious person to very quickly remove it and toss it (or more chance of an accidental open and then a potential loss)…
I'm actually curious as to seeing that bikes get stolen here in California so often, will this work by maybe tapering the air tag within the bike seat post will signal through.
The Belkin key ring will scratch the AirTag quicker, since the keys will hit the air tag. Apple's key ring does not have that problem, since the keys hit against the leather. And yes you can still fit enough keys onto the Apple key ring. I have 7 different keys on mine.
I’ll be putting one on things I want to track if they are stolen like my boat, car, and bike, as well as my dog, heck even in my kids pocket if we are going out to a really busy place. Of course luggage, and tv remote since that seems to always get lost in my family with all the kids moving it.

If you go back and watch yourself when you were looking for your keys you will see that the onscreen guide was actually pointing in the right direction and showed “5 feet away - Behind You” at one point. Really impressive after it locks in on the location. I’m having a lot of “Weak Signal” messages even though I’m right by the air tag. I might have a dud? 🤷♂️
For a next gen of this Apple product it will be nice if they take advantage of the tech and allow users to program it and use it for keyless access for cars and smart locks, nfc stations etc

AirTags play a sound for about 10 seconds and then turn off, it’s also not loud at all.

GPS will get you within a 5-meter accuracy range. Something to consider when looking for small items. The sound function should compensate for that.

If you hit the battery icon of the airtag in the find my app you get a firmware number so I’m guessing yes and it will be automatic like with AirPods.
