- Hello guys! Our Filipino bakery in Russia is growing! We are receiving more and more orders! Today we will bake empanadas, Spanish bread and Russian pies!

I’m very happy and proud of your amazing Mom and sister for being very enterprising promoting/making Filipino pastries. I suggest for your Mom to get a dough maker machine and a deep fryer or air fryer for the empanadas and bigger oven especially for the pandesal and other Filipino bread pastries like Spanish bread , pan de Coco, pan de Monay, do nut, etc once you open a Bakery or Bake Shop. What you thought of is a good business.
Have a small weighing scale so that sizes of the dough and the bread are the same

I have a Russian friend here her name is Nadia, she's from St. Petersburg but now residing here in the U.S. She visits her parents and sister in St. Petersburg at least once or twice a year. She loves my Filipino cooking. Just a suggestion Andrei, please tell your Mom to add some peas and raisins when she makes empanada next time. It will make it more tastier because of the sweetness from the peas and raisins. I pray that your business will thrive especially now that Mama knows how to cook a lot of Filipino dishes. Watching some Filipino cooking on You Tube and googling some recipes will also give her more help and ideas. Wishing you all the best❤

your mother made a very good dough because the first thing we will notice in a good empanada or spanish bread is the softness of the dough and whatever filling you are going to put inside it is a perfect dough that will make each bread tastier and attractive to a buyer. some are putting raisins and green peas on empanada. all in all good job and salute to your mother.
For Christmas we cook , adobo, pancit , fried chicken wings, bbq pork ribs, empanada , pandesal , chicken Afritada, UBE flavored sweet sticky rice to name a few.
Add a little bit of colour to your topping of empanada like peas and raisins, carrots and you can make another flavour like chicken as well add boiled egg.

I suggest adding a little soy sauce. Raisin and peas will add more flavor to the empanada filling. I already have faith that your bakery will be successful.❤❤❤

Thank you. Am a filipino. You can try our lumpia shanghai or some call it egg roll. Ingrds: 1 kilo ground pork, add 1small carrot, 1stem celery, 1red bell and 1green bell small size only, 2 eggs, 1med size onoio, 4 cloves garlic, salt and pepper. Cut all veggies as small as your ground pork. Combine all. Add 1spoon of sesame oil. Wrap in lumpia wrapper and then fry.
Lumpia is very delicious.

Wow and very wow sir Andrei excellent in making Filipino bread, I was stayed in MOSCOW RUSSIA for almost 6 years, I and My RUSSIANs boss when to Findland for vacation and request to cook some Filipino food, so I choose to cook pancit bihon for them and I got a little bit worried if they can't eat it,,, but my worried change into big smile while we are on the table eating lunch that time, and request to cook more for the following day, thank you sir Andrei, it's remind me my time when i was in Russia, thank you and God will bless your intire family
You guys are cool! For Christmas, being in the U.S. for the longest time, we have adopted the American Christmas dinner tradition combined with our Filipino dishes. So, we bake ham, sometimes, turkey, dinner rolls, Chicken Macaroni soup, Potato salad, or Mashed potatoes with gravy, this year we’ll have Chicken dumplings and a cranberry cake. Enjoy!!!

Andrei, if you fry the empanadas put a lot of oil. It should be deep-fried for even cooking and even browning. And for the ensaymada, to make it more delicious, you can put or brush a thin layer of buttercream frosting on the ensaymada and then top it with grated cheese. That is how we make ensaymada in the Philippines. I know that you will be able to perfect your recipes along the way. I pray for your success, always. God bless.

If you want to try & learn authentic Filipino cuisine you must live in a Filipino neighborhood unlike the previous place where you stay that is exclusively for Russians. If you are surrounded with Filipino neighbors it would be easier to interact because Filipinos are open with welcoming arms to new neighbor specially to foreigners. That way, you & your mom will have better videos interacting to local Filipinos daily.

Love that you plan to include Russian dishes as well in your menu. If I live in your neighborhood, I would like to see Russian pastries and cakes as well in your bakery/cafe. I go to Russian/Ukrainian stores in my area and buy Russian rye bread, piroshki, vatrushka, stuffed cabbage, eggplant salad, etc. Love the chocolate candies, too! I really would like some Russian cake (with layers), but the Russian/Ukrainian stores in my area don’t sell them.😔
For your Filipino menu, definitely have pancit, adobo, kare-kare, menudo, bulalo, eggplant cooked with eggs (also called torta eggplant), pandesal, leche flan (which will also be a good topping for halo-halo), sisig (add vegetarian version, too), breakfast dishes (garlic fried rice with fried egg and some meat or fish).
