I had no idea airplanes has bathrooms for disabled. ?!?! That is my #1 fear of flying - having to use the restroom and not fitting in the them! All your other tips I have always used and they do help alleviate stress! Great vlog

I didn’t either, but I guess it makes sense for long haul planes to have them! I saw the tip in one of my fat traveling groups on fb. 😊

Great video!!! I also request a wheelchair at the ticket counter as well as an extra seat for size. I'm 67 and obese. This helps from having to walk so far or stand in line. I have used ALL of these tips! They are excellent! I ask for an extender the second I eye the stewardess! They usually give it to me right there or will bring it to me. And we LOVE Southwest! They are very friendly to those of use who are large.

I’m so glad you advocate for yourself and get the assistance and accommodations you need! So many people are embarrassed to do so. 💜

Good advice I think. One thing, ALL airline seatbelts in economy are between 40 and 46 inches in the USA. You could try measuring at home to see if this length is sufficient. And one more thing - outside of the US, no one ever uses the term 'handicapped' - it's "disabled".

You’re right-disabled is the word I should have used. Thank you for pointing that out.

I will definitely seek out the disabled persons bathroom. Never knew about that. I always get 2 seats or fly first class. I use points to help with the cost.

As far as I can find, the disabled bathrooms are only on long-hauls. But you may get lucky with shorter flights.

Using Southwest's COS policy on my honeymoon was great! When I fly other airlines I have to try to squeeze myself so that I'm taking up as little of my neighbor's space as possible. Having that extra seat between us meant that my husband was able to take up his full seat without me invading his bubble. I'm not looking forward to an upcoming flight that will likely be Delta or American because I know it's gonna be tight and uncomfortable. But the alternative is driving 3 hours and staying in a hotel just to fly Southwest, and that seems like a lot of extra effort and some extra money.

I hope someday I can start recommending other airlines for their COS policies!
