I personally like spring because the cherry blossoms are out and it’s a great time to have picnics with friends by the river and get out more. You also have the university and lantern festivals which I love!! The spring has a very refreshing feeling. But the downside is that spring is the worst time for yellow dust and every time I die no matter how hard I try to take care of my self and cover my self up from it. Autumn is very nice as well and you get holidays like chuseok and a bit of a celebration for halloween as well. The leaves change colors which are super pretty!
I think mild is relative lol, I went to Edinburgh in the summer last year and was freezing the whole time. All my Scottish friends were fine, walking around in the rain in short sleeves fml
I'm from Scotland too, but i'm living in Korea now (Busan) and i have to say Mina is right early Spring/Summer and Autumn are best times to visit. And compared to the cold we're used to in Scotland i'd say its worse in Korea because its more of a dry cold which somehow is just overall worse.
For me, Fall in Korea is the best. The foliage, especially in the countryside areas, will make you think like you’re looking at a painting. Red, Yellow and Orange hues everywhere. 🍁❤️
I...CAN...NOT...WAIT...TO...MOVE TO KOREA!!!!!!!!!!! Lived in Japan from 1992 ~ 2009 and worked for Samsung & LG for a few years, and always loved my monthly meetings in Seoul. So looking forward to going back in 2018.
I just came back from Seoul, mokpo and busan! late oct-early November was the best for this Vancouver, Canada girl. I hate the heat. i love 14-20degrees Celsius weather. it's nice and cool/warm but the sky is blue and clear. I love it
beaglechen hello! I live in Victoria and am going to Seoul in late October! This was good to hear :) im glad it won't be too cold! I was worried. 14-20 degrees sounds nice :)
I came to Korea during August and it was HUMID ! So if you don't like that you should not come. But from September until November it is reaally amazing weather! It's around 20℃/68℉ and sunny almost everyday. And when the leaves start to turn red and yellow it's soo beautiful! Winter is very cold, so I would definitely recommend to come in spring (March-May) or fall (September-middle of November). :) And mina, I really love your videos, they helped me so much before coming to Korea! Keep up the good work :))
Went to visit Korea with my brother for the first time earlier this year. We went there in August - super hot and humid! Also we really enjoyed our stay, the heat was pretty brutal at times. We went to different cities such as Jeonju and Busan as well and the weather was definitely more bearable in Busan by the sea. Loved our first vacation to South Korea, but next trip is definitely going to being during either Fall or Spring :) Thanks for the video Mina!
We were visitig this november and it was a bit windy and cold like around 4 degrees but OMG the colours were stunning!!!!we absolutely loved IT and will definitely come Back!thanks a lot for all the videos-they were truly helpful and we had a great time thanks to You! Keep IT up dear cos You rock !:)))
I have been to Korea twice, both time during the Summer because it was the only time my travel companions could go. It was too hot and humid for my liking that is the very reason why I am planning to travel to Korea this coming April. Spring should be the perfect time :) Anyone wants to join?
😂 I'm from London & PERMANENTLY TOO HOT. We don't get winter anymore not like "the good old days". It sucks. So.... I'm very excited to visit in JANUARY! GET THAT SNOW! (& Do much shopping!)
I'm not really a big fan of the cold season but I love how the snow make everything look pretty. ^_^ If I ever go to Korea someday, that would be in the winter. Even though I hate the cold. XP
when is the pollution the worst? I've been hearing that it's worse in the spring, but I've been hearing recently that there are bad pollution days in the fall as well. I know it sort of depends on prevailing winds...
I've been to Seoul 3 times during Summer time. Twice around July/August and once in June. June wasn't as bad as in it wasn't as humid as in July and August and in the evenings it would cool down. But now I'm looking to go this April and I have no idea what to expect when it comes to the weather 😅
The only school holidays I have are the summer holiday and Christmas holiday, and my plan was to go in the summer (July), many people say that it is really hot, would you still recommend it?
Thanks for the advice Mina! I’ll be visiting Korea early September next year. From what info I can gather on the net, it seems like the weather will most likely still be pretty hot. But does the night time gets pretty chilly? Do you think I should bring like a jacket or is it okay to stick with summer clothing?
I'm from South Australia and during summer it can get to 45°C which is about~113°F. Last year there were a few 49°C/120.2°F days. Would love to take you out to eat Mina, if you're ever in South Australia♡
i have to say, late january was very cold as someone from australia so i am 100% avoiding visiting in winter for the next few times. it was probably my fault though for not packing super warm stuff, but australia has no relative temperatures to seoul's winter.
Argel Dela Cruz i think it’s more late autumn ??? but also korea is cold for a many months so im not surprised that it’s already snowing. honestly a very cold country in the colder months
Nice content sist, I've been visited Seoul mid november 2017, and I love the weather and the environment, I never see autumn in my entire life before. Actually it's too cold for me -1° until 9°, cos I'm from tropical country Indonesia which is summer everyday from 22° to 40°c But nice experience to be freezing in Seoul before winter.
Hey, nice video! We enjoyed it. My family and I are thinking of traveling to South Korea and visit the whole country in September. The only thing that holds us back a bit is the typhoon season described on the internet. What can you tell us about the weather in september typhoon wise? Is it something to worry about? Since our youngest is not even a year, we need a bit of peace of mind. Thank you!
Thank you, last year I went to Seoul,Busan in the beginning of new year's eve, and yes.. I was underpacked. Can you also tell about various ski resorts around seoul or all over Korea and in Jeju-Do
My family and I are traveling to Korea on January, I am very excited and worried at the same time because of the expected cold weather. I hope we can cope with the coldness w/no issue. I am preparing as early as now haha because we’re traveling with the kids. Thanks for your recommendations 👍🙂
I used to live in 29 palms which is literally in the middle of the desert and I'm planning on going to Korea in the summer time so the summer there is going to be a piece of cake 😂
On the same day, the weather in cities in latitudes (35-40 degrees north latitude) similar to Seoul (37 degrees north latitude) was different. The highest daytime temperatures in Athens, Greece, and latitude, such as Seoul, and San Francisco, USA, rose by 18 degrees and 15 degrees, respectively. Although the latitudes are similar, the Korean Peninsula is mainly affected by Siberian high pressure at the eastern end of the continent. San Francisco sees the turbulence of Mexico reaching the west coast of the United States. Even within the Korean Peninsula, the weather varies depending on the location. Gangneung has a relatively warmer weather than Seoul thanks to the Kuroshio turbulent flow through the East Coast. For similar reasons, Madrid, Spain, higher than Seoul, and Beijing, China, were also colder than Seoul.
this video is so helpful Mina! 💓 i'm hoping to study abroad in korea from feb-june! ^__^ i think i prefer warmer weather compared to colder weather bc i'm from california 🤣
I've visited Korea during the spring, summer, and winter seasons. I have yet to experience the fall, but I totally agree with Mina about preferring the spring, early summer, and early fall times. But as also mentioned, all depends on what you feeling~ Warmer seasons I went hiking in the mountains on the mainland and Jejudo (the view from the peak of Mt. Hallasan was awesome!). In the winter, I went snowboarding and enjoyed some warm, relaxing times at a jimjilbang. There is still plenty to do in any season!
Im from Florida and personally HATE the cold! Im too used to the heat and would probably travel during the summer the day I have the opportunity to go to South Korea! Plus like you said, I don't want to invest in winter clothing when where Im from is rarely cold.
Autumn,Spring and Winter. But I Haven’t been in Korea, we’re planning to go there in Autumn to walk around get familiarize first without hassle. Cause i also thought that if we go there in Winter we need to pack a lot and buy some thick jackets. We only have 2 seasons in our country that’s why we don’t have thick jacket and stuff. This video is really helpful :)) 감사함니다 어니 😻💗
When my wife and I go to Korea, we like to go for about two months at a time. We also like to go twice a year. We are planning our fifth trip for next Spring. (Being retired helps.) I do not like warm season plane ticket prices or living quarters’ prices, both of which would drive our Korea visits right off our budget. So we go in Fall, Winter, or Spring. As I have been living in Russia for the last nearly 30 years, I do not find Korean winters terribly cold. Our first trip was for the month of February, which was fine by us. I grew up in California, so the cold does not bother me. My wife is a Russian, so she dresses much more warmly. Any restraint that she does not have in packing clothing is only brought into play by the fact that she will have to haul her own suitcase. Boots we wear when getting on the plane and getting off. Otherwise, God has created flip-flops. By the way, Korean winters vary. They are not uniformly cold, in our experience. The February we were there was rainy, but no snow. Staying for almost two months allows my wife and I do see and do what we want. My wife like art galleries and the like. She has several friends now (who speak English, but no Russian, which makes listening to them speak sound like a variety show) who are in the art business, as my wife is. I prefer cafe-culture with the possibility of chance meetings that allow me to practice Korean. Other than that, we see various historical sites and visit friends that we have made. So that is our experience in Korea. I honestly cannot see that Summer would be economical. It’s main attraction seems to be the opportunity to fight other tourists for a place on the sidewalk.
I've visited Seoul in summer, winter and fall. Summer sucked!! So humid! I try to avoid it now. Winter was alright from what I can remember. Fall though, the best of the three for sure!!
I dont get a choice in what time i visit. Sadly my only breaktime is winter (for korea) and summer for my country. I live in the tropical area of australia, usually summer for us everyday is over 32°C so summer wouldnt be an issue. I love the cold so yes please. I'll be visiting in 2019's november - Jan so i cant wait 💕
I am going to Korea next winter tho, On February. And if i have a change, i want to watch at least 1 winter game in Pyongchang. Any tips? Kk My first winter in Korea was such a shock, i am from SEA and i went at coldest time. It reached -20 in the morning when i was in GangWonDo. Kkk
Thank you for the informative video^^ I have been in Korea in April and September, but how will the tempetature be in Seoul first half of December? Will it be late fall or a definite winter? Going there next week😄
Hi Mina, I want to experience fishing in winter. Pls recommend me which area and river should I go, beside this what others indoors/outdoors activities must try. I had been visit Jeju and Seoul 2 yrs back during spring.
I love summer, humid weather. I have decided to go in the summer. I also want to pack less for less carry on. I wanted to ask though, for about a week, how much money should I expect to bring? I have gotten mixed results. I'm not a big shopper, but I am a foodie!
I first went to korea in 2015 for NYE now I'm going back for the olympics so I've only been in the winter. I'm from New england and didn't think the weather was that bad. you're right about the heavy coat inside though. i went to Lotteworld wearing my leather duster that has a wool lining. I didn't know about renting the lockers and it was at least 80 inside. try standing in line for 3 hours to go on a ride. people were falling asleep in the line. I like going for NYE and hopefully Korean NY but at some point I'll be there during a different season,if I;m not living there lol
+wyliem Sounds like the day at Lotte World included a Korean sauna experience :) Be sure to visit sometime in October as it tends to be more balanced in temperature. Enjoy the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics!
I don't think I'd like to pack up all those winter clothes, as baggage on airlines is probably quite limited these days. In summer I'd be a sweaty mess (as I am an elderly Caucasian male). Maybe I'll just visit a "K-town" here in the States.
hi me and my husband is planning our first ever out of the country trip together..im insisting to go to korea all because of this kdrama.haha i was planning to come maybe 3rdweek of october??is this a goodtime to go to korea??i want to see the peach tree and dont wanna go to korea during warm days..need tips thank you so much
So I am going to Seoul in Jan 2, 2018 for eight days. Do you think it’s necessary to bring snow boots? This is a weird question but would you recommend wearing contacts in Korea? It sounds like death huh xD I bet my contacts would freeze haha.
I would really like to experience a real winter and I technically don't mind packing my boots but another Korea Travel I watched told me if I want to visit in the winter its easy to purchase coats in Korea at loads of places rather than packing heavy. Do you believe that true?
I personally like spring because the cherry blossoms are out and it’s a great time to have picnics with friends by the river and get out more. hi , i’ll be going to korea during 19 of March next year do you think i’ll be able to catch the cherry blossoms season ?
I live in Scotland where it's just mild and rainy all the time so every season would overwhelm me
I think mild is relative lol, I went to Edinburgh in the summer last year and was freezing the whole time. All my Scottish friends were fine, walking around in the rain in short sleeves fml
I live in Ireland so same for me!
Same here, but I think me Scottish genes will help more with winter than summer. I legit die in the sun
Ahahah I love that you call Scotland 'mild' - it's freezing to anyone who isn't from there! And the wind is sooo chilly.

Thank you for the sound advice Mina! You’re awesome!
Just came from Seoul 2 weeks ago! Autumn is definitely the best time to visit. We had a great time. We will be back soon.

Spring and Autumn are my favorite months in Korea! The fall foliage and spring flowers are so beautiful and every day is a lovely 22C
Good to be Norwegian xD Traveling to Korea around christmas so it will be fun! And I think we reached around -10 C° today
+Chaeng's Slave Your body is trained to endure the Korean winter! Enjoy your snowy Christmas :)
-8 at my place ^^ nice to meet another Norwegian fella here
Yay! Fellow norwegian :) Where in Norway are you guys from? I'm 45 minutes away from Oslo
@@sweetandtastyTV do you be in Poland ?

I love korean winter. The weather is really cold but the scenery is very beautiful and romantic with all the snow.

Yeah I'm not meant for the heat or the cold, but I would rather be cool then hot. So... spring sounds good. Cause sometimes fall can be hot af too.
I have been to Korea twice, both time during the Summer because it was the only time my travel companions could go. It was too hot and humid for my liking that is the very reason why I am planning to travel to Korea this coming April. Spring should be the perfect time :)

Experienced winter and autumn in Korea, and I would say AUTUMN is really beautiful in Korea!!! Try visit on that season ♥️♥️♥️🍂🍂
Thank you for this. I am planning to visit this December. :)
I'm not really a big fan of the cold season but I love how the snow make everything look pretty. ^_^ If I ever go to Korea someday, that would be in the winter. Even though I hate the cold. XP
You are the Professor Oh that taught me the Korean alphabet, which jump started my Korean language journey enjoyably.
I live in Iran and we don't really celebrate Christmas so I really love to visit Korea on December to experience Christmas!
when is the pollution the worst? I've been hearing that it's worse in the spring, but I've been hearing recently that there are bad pollution days in the fall as well. I know it sort of depends on prevailing winds...
I went in October, highly recommend that!! It's still warm but not as hot anymore, air is better than in summer. Love Seoul in the Fall
I'm just going to move there and always be there! Thanks for helping me learn Korean by the way!
For me *Spring day* is the best
(Pun intended! XD)

I plan be in Seoul in February / March. Since I'm from and live in New York City, I think I will be able to enjoy whichever season in South Korea 💕
I'm actually going at the end of March until beginning of April next year ^_^ I can't wait, I'm so excited :D
I'll be visiting Korea this December 31. excited for my first winter. Yey!!
I'm from South Australia and during summer it can get to 45°C which is about~113°F. Last year there were a few 49°C/120.2°F days.

Gabi Roworth I think it's already early winter in Korea now. I heard it already snowed in Gapyeong.
Argel Dela Cruz i think it’s more late autumn ??? but also korea is cold for a many months so im not surprised that it’s already snowing. honestly a very cold country in the colder months
I love korea in spring and fall season. Perfect weather!
Last year i visit there in autumn but i really wanted to enjoy the cold of korea...😊😊
I’m from Canada... not scared of winter... we already had our first snow!
The transitioning of Autumn to Winter 😍😍
Best time is...when K.Will has a concert so definitely during new year
I am really thankful for this channel it is teaching me alot of things I didn't know,

Thank you!
You look really smart in that coat :))
I'm from a tropical country and still want to visit on winter just to experience snow!something we don't have at home🏂
Thank you, last year I went to Seoul,Busan in the beginning of new year's eve, and yes.. I was underpacked.
Can you also tell about various ski resorts around seoul or all over Korea and in Jeju-Do
If I will ever go to Korea, which I hope so, then I will definitely keep that in mind! Thank you for making this video! :D
I was just in Busan in October. The weather was beautiful! So much good food!!

I am planning to visit in 2nd week of July, I heard it’s not a good time to visit. What is your recommendation?
Mina, you’ve helped me make up my mind: Summer it is! :)
Spring, autumn and winter I’d prefer. Basically every season except hot summer haha
Im from Florida and personally HATE the cold! Im too used to the heat and would probably travel during the summer the day I have the opportunity to go to South Korea! Plus like you said, I don't want to invest in winter clothing when where Im from is rarely cold.

i will go to south korea this june to july and its summer there i hope this vacation will be awesome thank you mina!!!
I went last month and the weather was absolutely perfect!! 😍😊❤️
That helped out so much, thank you!
Thank you for sharing this video ^^ .
I really wanted to go to South Korea by next year..
This video is helpful , Thanks agian.

I think korea seems a lot like the weather I experience in New Jersey. It seems like it. So it wouldn’t be hard to get used to
I’m from California and we don’t know of snow so tbh winter would be fun
Thanks for the informative video and you're so pretty 😊❤
I've visited Seoul in summer, winter and fall. Summer sucked!! So humid! I try to avoid it now. Winter was alright from what I can remember. Fall though, the best of the three for sure!!

안녕 Miss Mina! Do have your friend "Yuna" in your future video! You were showing the old clip from professor Oh with Yuna and Takwondo.
The year round weather in Korea sounds like the year round weather in Wisconsin.
(Nice Tae Kwon Do cameo!)
Hey Mina how is the weather at the end of February? Should I be packing the padded parka jackets?
I am from Moscow and I am going to Seoul in 4월 2018! 😊
I've visited Korea several times and I think the Autumn there is just amazing! Summer is too hot for me though...
Thank you for the advice miss mina!
i hope to visit korea next year!! pleaseeee
*life envy* honestly, I WISH I COULD TRAVEL MORE!!!!! (Love you Mina! Your videos really make me smile :D )
natsukashii I've been abroad once and planes terrify me 😅. Hopefully in the future we'll both get to travel more

My first winter in Korea was such a shock, i am from SEA and i went at coldest time. It reached -20 in the morning when i was in GangWonDo. Kkk
thank's for sharing this video🌺🌺
I definitely prefer the summer. It's only November and Daegu is already too cold for me
Thank you for the informative video^^ I have been in Korea in April and September, but how will the tempetature be in Seoul first half of December? Will it be late fall or a definite winter? Going there next week😄
luluamu it's winter already since last week n it started snowing quite heavy today instagram.com/p/Bb0ZTxin9u3/

Hi Mina, I want to experience fishing in winter. Pls recommend me which area and river should I go, beside this what others indoors/outdoors activities must try. I had been visit Jeju and Seoul 2 yrs back during spring.
If i will visit korea i prefer the seasons of end of spring or early fall as what you suggeated😀
Do you think november is a good month to vist jeju, busan and seoul?
How severe is the monsoon period ? How bad is June - August ?
I wouldn't want to go there but my baby sis loves Korea, if shit works out I will move there with her. She needs to work hard for it..
I love summer, humid weather. I have decided to go in the summer. I also want to pack less for less carry on. I wanted to ask though, for about a week, how much money should I expect to bring? I have gotten mixed results. I'm not a big shopper, but I am a foodie!
@sweetandtastyTV is the summer in korea is too hot or is it cold at the same time? how about the night?
We'll be going late summer early autumn! :D
I want to go every season to eat, but I prefer spring (Not too hot & not too cold :D)
Enjoy the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics!
thanks i will. planning on going to the tokyo olympics in 2020. enjoy singapore/korea this trip. are you going to japan as well?
I don't think I'd like to pack up all those winter clothes, as baggage on airlines is probably quite limited these days. In summer I'd be a sweaty mess (as I am an elderly Caucasian male). Maybe I'll just visit a "K-town" here in the States.
Which months are considered spring? I'm going in April and I'm not sure what to pack and what to wear
hi me and my husband is planning our first ever out of the country trip together..im insisting to go to korea all because of this kdrama.haha i was planning to come maybe 3rdweek of october??is this a goodtime to go to korea??i want to see the peach tree and dont wanna go to korea during warm days..need tips thank you so much
My favorite season is full but i was born in the summer time like in June.
