Too late - the boy finished them all! LOL Your elderberries should bloom soon. They like wetter areas. Scrubby tall bushes. Surprise the kids with fritters?
@@homesteadinginnorthflorida I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tree like this before. We have service berry trees, or Juneberries, in our teeny tiny yard and I’ve made muffins out of them before!
@@alway_scooking - you probably just never paid attention because you didn't thin of them. They're really a weed and easily overlooked. They grow wild roadside everywhere along ditches. Not like a tree, just a large mess of tall bushes. The berries are medicinal - elderberry syrup, etc. But have to be cooked. Another month or so and they'll bloom in your area. Keep an eye out for the flower clusters when driving around. :)
@@alway_scooking - yeah, flowers look alike, but Queen Ann's doesn't form a woody brush. You'll spot it. Now that you know it will be visible everywhere. :)
