    I'm the complete opposite, never learned a fill in my life, have always winged it. But now I need some structure and you're a great help! Getting back on my kit after many years absent. Thanks to you!

    Thanks Jared, very practical and this area of drumming has been on my mind for quite awhile: playing linear grooves & fills organically without preconceived patterns. Thanks for the inspiration and confirmation that other drummers have considered this technique. Greetings from SF Bay Area.

    Hey, Jared! Thanks a lot for these lessons. I'm not going to my kit quite yet because it's past 1 AM down here in Brazil, but you certainly motivated me!
    A simple question, if I may: would it also be considered a linear fill (or pattern) should I replace some of the notes into rests or use flams and drags (provided I don't hit different voices at the same time)?
    "There are no silly questions. Only silly answers."
    Cheers!

    • @dannyedwards4251
      @dannyedwards4251 7 років тому

      no its not a good technique. you can't play in front of a large audience using what he teaches. classic example of a non pro teaching. he's not getting calls from legit artists. 0% groove. I know lots of real session players in Canada. no one calls this guy. fact. I just want people to know that so they don't waste their time
