Not my usual subject matter but this really is briliant fun! If you've not thought about an e-bike, think again! Another video coming in next day or so on its full range and whagt happened on my 20 mile ride..... Cheers, Ian :)
That was great Ian. I used to have road bikes but had my first ebike around 6 years ago. I now have a lovely canyon e mountain bike. I love it and will never go back 😁
Built my own using a second hand GT mountain bike and yose power rear hub unit . Whole build came in under £500 , I thought id never get out on a bike again but love every minute as well as getting the exercise .
Nice video mate! My first e-bike too and so much fun! I’m reviewing the C11 pro I never knew I needed an e-bike in my life but they are brilliant. Great use of the drone for the B roll man 👍
When we were in Gibraltar running up the roads to top of Rock, cyclists would pass and the people on the bikes didn't look like your average keep hobby cyclists and they were on Electric bikes, so must have been first type models of Ebikes as this was many years back.
Nice video, they are a blast to ride. I was the same way about e-bikes. I also prefer a torque sensor too, a mid drive motor will feel way more powerful than a rear motor. I can’t wait to see you on DJI e-bike.
Ideal for out and about with the drone Ian, I had e bikes for four years now and settled on the mid drive motors as found much better torque for the big hills round here. Keeps me fit in my retirement, disappointing mileage you found on that bike though compared to some with the same size motor and battery. Keeps up the good videos.😎
Really excellent video Ian, I love e-bikes. Before I left Colorado for the Philippines I rode my e-bike daily, Colorado has many miles of paved bike paths. I prefer suspension though 🙃🌴
You always make me smile buddy. My first go on one believe it or not was in London last year. I parked the van up hired one at the side of the road and I was off. I even managed a few songs while cycling along. Something that I got a few looks from folk passing. I came back home to Scotland buzzing to get one. I ended up buying a 125 Scooter instead 😂😂. I have to ask though. Does it have a secret menu for faster modes 😉
Yes; I'm doing another video on a 20 mile ride I did where I ran out of battery and mention the secret 'Rocket Mode' that takes up even faster...... ;)
Be interested to see a report in a few months time (assuming you’re using it frequently) to see how it did from a durability/reliability perspective. It’s certainly a nice looking design compared to a lot of e-bikes.
As a cyclist on both road bikes and mountain bikes, I like you were, am not that interested in e-bikes, but as a man of a certain age I am definitely not getting any younger, so will fight tooth and nail to avoid riding an e-bike (just in case I like it) until that time when the old legs call time on my normal cycling and make an e-bike a necessity. so it's a no from me.......for now 🤣 Enjoyed the video (although no Ted), but happy to see other tech. Cheers
Fantastic. I used to cycle a lot but now have ms. Unfortunately it is the duration of exercise rather than effort which tires me out, so I can't peddle, so even an bike can't help me. I need a vehicle with throttle control so it looks like an off road mobility scooter for me
@IaninLondon @IaninLondon sadly I can only walk a few metres now. So couldn't pedal more than a few turns. I'm a big fan though. If you want to set up a group test of off road mobility scooters I'll be your test pilot lol
If you knew half the stuff I get asked to review...... Robot vacuum cleaners and more....😅 But I really had fun with this. Kind of got me hooked so you'll see more of this.... Great fun!
E-bikes are brilliant if you’re like me and an arthritis sufferer who likes cycling. My e-bike has given me a new freedom.
That's really good to hear 👍🏻
@@IaninLondon I can also put one of my drones into a saddle bag

Cheers Gavin! Yeah, the Mini 4 Pro performed well; absolutely love the bike; can't go back now! :) All the best buddy :)
Now that is a great bit of kit buddy. Never had one myself but everyone raves about them.
Absolutely love it :)

I picked one up in the spring, it's my main ride for photography excursions.
Thanks
Ah dude! That's so kind of you! Cheers!! 🤠🤠
@IaninLondon Have a great Xmas at your new home buddy. Love to the dogs 🐕🐕
You too fella! Have a great Christmas 🎄🎄👍🏻👍🏻
Great review Ian
Thanks Lyn. Really had fun with this one! :)

Yeah, bit unlikely that... They're over £6000...!
@ well if I was DJI I would send you one to review and keep. Lol
@gearadventures I like your thinking 🤠🤠🤠

Cheers Don! Yeah, possibly because it was on its first couple of battery charging cycles. 👍🏻
Really excellent video Ian, I love e-bikes. Before I left Colorado for the Philippines I rode my e-bike daily, Colorado has many miles of paved bike paths. I prefer suspension though 🙃🌴
Yeah, at the moment, the bikes with suspension are 500w + motors... And our stupid rules here only allow for 250w max .... Just a few hills in CO 😅👍🏻

I would’ve thought DJI would’ve send you an Amflow to test out. That DJI motor is going to be a game changer!
I might send them an email..... 😉. (Bit higher pricetag tho!!)
What frame size did you get and how tall are you ?
I got the 'Large' and I'm 5 foot 10 or 178 cm
I discovered e bikes a few years ago and love them.
Are you near Winchester
About an hour.... East sussex here!
@IaninLondon I've got some collaboration ideas if you are interested. 👍

Will do!
Nice bike
First thing i was going to say was that it doesnt look like a typical e bile

Come Algie, come to the dark side..... ;) (And check 0:32 bottom of screen.... ;) )
Thought you might have the Amflow PL carbon with dji tech on board Ian. I've seen one in the flesh and it's 👍🏽
Yeah, but at £6k - £9k, I'm not holding my breath! 😅

You may find shorter 3-6 mile rides on a power assisted bike like this perfect. Check the main review video and you'll see what I mean... 👍🏻👍🏻
@IaninLondon @IaninLondon sadly I can only walk a few metres now. So couldn't pedal more than a few turns. I'm a big fan though.
If you want to set up a group test of off road mobility scooters I'll be your test pilot lol
Question… how to put a kids smile on my 71 year old face? Ride my Ebike!!! As you said they are brilliant 😃
🐾🐈⬛🐝👍🚲🍻
7:16 It has a sad face when you turn it on.
Someone else mentioned that 😅😅
Looks a lot of fun a move away from drones 🤔 I hope not.....
Mavic 4 Pro soon!!!
@IaninLondon I can't wait to see that one 👍
Be a UA-camr long enough, you end up doing e-bike reviews.
If you knew half the stuff I get asked to review...... Robot vacuum cleaners and more....😅 But I really had fun with this. Kind of got me hooked so you'll see more of this.... Great fun!
