If my pc breaks I can fix it, my friend who built his pc and helped build mine can fix it, I can take it to Best Buy or call geek squad to come to my house, I can literally take it to any repair shop.
Why do people get so worked up about exclusives. Like there’s three or four games a generation I can’t play or have to wait for an emulator for. So what? The PC can play most of Sony’s and Microsoft’s games and gets most of Nintendo’s through emulation. That’s why the term console exclusive came to be because the pc has most of the consoles games. That’s why I got a PC. It has the largest library and it runs games the best.
Coming from a console player, I dont get so angry about it either. The pc will be able to play those exclusives later on through emulation. While I haven't made the full transition, I've always loved the PC platform in terms of emulation and even though my laptop can't run most current gen games, its an amazing emulation machine
@@junglezone7323 most console players don’t it’s just idiots on the internet saying dumb stuff. That’s what’s great about emulation you can do it on just about anything.
Imagine saying that consoles are easier to repair compared to a PC. First of all if you buy a pre-build machine the company who build your PC gives you a warranty and if something happens you send the whole PC to that company for troubleshooting and repair. If you build your PC by your own and you purchased all party by your own you need troubleshoot what part is faulty by your own. First of all people who build PC's by themselves probably have enough knowledge troubleshoot the problem. Second a PC can be put together easily is more like LEGO while consoles are made to be a box you DON'T open. What you also said in the video about console repair warranty is right. If you open the console and try repair it by yourself you lose your warranty you don't lose it if you do the same on your PC.
The last console I owned was a N64. I played it until it died in 2002 or 2003, and I've been an exclusively PC gamer since. I've never run into any of these so-called problems or cons.
Clearly this guy has never tried to open a Nintendo system, which are notorious for having proprietary ports and screws. Even if a older console is easy to repair, you still have to buy other proprietary parts to even crack the system open.
“Seemless optimization” *laughs In cyberpunk*
Laughs in Forspoken
My pc build and installation of windows took like 3 hours cause I’m stupid and had several problems, but it would’ve been way faster than 2 hours if I didn’t mess up
This guy acts like the new consoles don’t exist with keyboard support and the occasional 120 fps support. Gaming on console isn’t even anymore. You can’t hide behind the I’m scared of mouse and keyboard players and high refresh rates. Not everyone on console uses a monitor or can afford a high refresh rate TV which means there are gonna be disadvantages between console players.
PC gaming since 1991 -- all technical issues were either DOA hardware or my own fault (for screwing with something). In all that time I have never been without a computer due to technical issues. Even with dead hardware, I could still get the thing running or swap parts between units.
technically speaking they cant uphold the statement that you tampering with the console voids the warranty people have the right to attempt a repair with good faith but the issue is you have to take them to court about it so thats why they can get away with it.
14:46. Yeah, and you wait like half a year or so only for them to tell you its a rip. Happened to me with my 360 as a child before the much better 360 elites came out.
That 49fps dip at 32:46 is the reason why I dropped DE. I don't know why it's so poorly optimized there.
Even the base PS4 runs better while my 1060 gets as low as 40 on low settings.
Consoles are easier to repair as you just throw them away if theyre broken and just buy a new one (Sarcasm).
PC's the components can be removed and replaced or repaired and upgraded at the component level.
Been a console gamer most of my life (since the late 1980's) and now mostly play and draw on my self built rigs..... Been a PC gamer since 2002..... never going back to consoles.
Pc is very easy repair than console that’s good thing.
AK 47 is quote in old school now, just like Ak-47.complex things gives you dopamine rush.
What a convenient time I just got a pc for Christmas right now
oh boy used "pLuG n pLaY" my god! lmaoooooooo!
6:22 I'm pretty sure it took him about 2 hours to download all of the needed updates, not plugging in wires. Unless he's colour blind, otherwise the 2 hours to plug everything in wouldn't make any sense no matter how you spin it.
Thinking of this argument makes me grateful for PCs. No proprietary unexpected screws between systems, with replacement parts available off of the shelf
They are called trigger stops some people refer to them as hair triggers
PC : Replace Specific Bad Part
Console : Replace entire thing or Get Specific Part through loop holes rather than the store down the street ....
Most People Don't need CompTIA Certs to pull apart a PC (Desktop)
3 360s, 3 ps2s, 2 xbox ones, 2 ps4s. My wii is still good somehow
"Consoles are easier to repair than PC" How do we tell em...?
well....I mean you dont need to update your drivers but its best practice because some games wont run as well on old drivers or may not run at all its an extremely rare occurance but it happens. Even still it takes seconds to download that so its not that big of a deal
The first party exclusive argument was only valid in the ps2, xbox era and before. Now Console games are released incomplete for full price. Only to be updated and patched at a later date. New game releases on console today are absolute inexcusable pieces of garbage. Really stupid argument. And I'm a console player. Not for much longer.
"this guys"
this guy*
I mean.... there are people who just are not tech savvy and don't wanna be, but want to play games on PC and get a PC, and its out of their hands if it so much won't boot the game without a hitch, I guess to them a PC with physical malfunctions is just impossible to deal with issue.
@joefromseattle you should get into milsims bro for some of your background footage. the are one of the better genres not even available on console. ARMA 3, Squad and He'll let Loose are excellent games. Keep up the good work.
Am I the only one that thinks the guy in the video being critiqued is trying to sound like Crapgamer?
I think theres something wrong with the bluetooth connecter on your Xbox you can test that and you can also replace them and fix the issue
Arkham Knight was fixed in a month. How long did it take Sega to fix Sonic Boom?
when i got my ps 5 i had to set it up it didn't come pre set out of the box
Says games aren't optimized as well for PC yet Cold War which is marketed to Playstation is beautifully optimized on PC and runs amazing at 1440p on my RTX 2060 which is a pretty shite card comapared to anything in the 30 series.
There are no 30 series card
@@RukaGoldheart 3080, 3090, they don't exist apparently.
I actually didn't buy, but i took in the old white xbox 360 and they couldn't fix it so they gave me a xbox 360 elite console that i still have today (this happen in the middle of the 360 timespan).
Hey where do you go to get your roms and emulators? i wanted to get into that and play some old games to remember the good times
I would suggest you check out r/roms for romsets on its megathread. As of emulators, usually the best is the emulator’s official site.
I mean to be fair its a good thing u didnt get a 30 series the 6800XT and 6900XT are better/equivalent at a lesser price.
I don’t know how to repair either
3:13 Personally, I was kind of hyped around the new consoles, would I have gotten one? No no no NO, I was excited that now the lowest common denominator for hardware requirements, supports raytracing, to the benefit of all the multiplats that also come to PC.
Of course then the Radeon RX 3800s came out, and while they are decent at traditional rendering, and are actually strong cards, finally AMD was on the threshold of competing with NVidia again, but the raytracing support, at least as of now, is weak. Sure, the next generation of AMD GPUs will probably have decent raytracing, but the consoles already got their hardware locked in, with a weaker version, still, at least it still sets the bar at SUPPORTING raytracing....right?
6:00 This sounds ALOT like the process I went through with my PC, because I paid $100 to get the PC assembled by the retailer, since I was ordering online, I wanted to ensure all my components were functioning before shipping. Minus the part of it taking 2 hours and requiring xbox live, and also monitor instead of TV, I don't remember how long it actually took me, but considering the PC was already installed with Windows 10, and even now takes like 30 seconds at most to boot from cold, pretty sure I was up and running, with games, within 30 minutes, if not way less.
6:50 Installing windows back in 2000: A few hours, MAYBE.
Installing windows in 2020: Can be done in about 30 minutes, this is installing the entire operating system, from scratch, something consoles don't have to do, yes, however, if you do what I did, and had my PC built for me(or buy a prebuilt), that step is already done for you, just like consoles.
And even installing Windows yourself, now I am at, what? an hour before I can play games? Yet it took you 2 hours to get to that stage on a console...
And you know what? Stop putting "downloading steam" as a negative, I go to the steam website, search it if you cannot remember the URL(ALL browsers automatically search if you just type in the address bar now), click download, wait a few seconds/a few minutes for the download, open the download, click next a few times, and then log in, it is literately that simple, and only takes a few minutes.
6:59 You don't need to check your graphics card, and 99% of the time you don't need to worry about drivers, windows itself, when installed, does a pretty good job of detecting and automatically installing drivers for most things, including for your graphics card, and if you buy a prebuilt system, any issues with drivers would be delt with by them before you even get it.
Sure, again, back in 2000, windows wasn't that great at detecting hardware and installing drivers, it only had limited support and limited drivers included, back then, I would make a list of all the drivers I needed, burn them onto a cd, before even installing or reinstalling windows, because one of the biggest things that could mess up your installation was windows not detecting your network card, meaning you couldn't even access the network in order to grab the rest of the drivers needed.
But now? Install windows, everything but the most obscure hardware gets detected and has proper drivers installed, and you are good to go.
11:10 Consoles are just locked down PCs with customized hardware, this is especially true with PS5/XSX. And guess what happens when the "complex machines" break down on the console side? You can't do anything for most issues, you have to wait for patches, or pack up the entire console and take it back to the retailer/Sony/MS to be repaired.
Most things short of hardware failures can be fixed by ourselves on PC, sure, there are times when say, the software is just broken so we need to wait for a patch, but many times even in that situation, there are easy work arounds so we can continue playing while waiting for the patch.
But yeah, I rarely have any issues with my PCs, the last issues I can recall, 1 software, 1 hardware.
First, back when Bioshock 1 first came out(yes, back in 2007), I got to a level in the game that just crashed each time I tried to load it, I couldn't continue playing the game, in this situation, it became a "wait for a patch" situation.
The second one was hardware, with one of my old HDDs failing, and it would completely disappear from within windows(so I couldn't access it), but if I restarted the PC it would reappear, so I backed up everything on it and eventually got new HDDs, and that was probably in the 2007 range as well.
I cannot recall any real issues in the last decade, not saying there was none, just nothing major.
12:14 Yeah, everything is easier, IF YOU AREN'T THE ONE DOING IT.
12:35 Me personally? None. I had a PSX, didn't have issues, but sold it at some point.
PS2 I still have, somewhere.
PS3, the bluray drive no longer works, at all, never bothered doing anything about it, it is also around here...somewhere.
Xbox 360, only played it a little bit, don't think I played on it enough to experience any issues, still, it is around here somewhere.
Wii, last I checked it still worked fine, but that was over 5 years ago, it is also around here somewhere.
Switch, sitting next to me, hooked up to my old PCs monitor, haven't touched it for awhile, but I might grab the Zelda 4 remake at some point, don't think it has any issues.
My point isn't to counter your point btw, my point is, if a console died on me, I don't care enough to get it fixed, the PS3 for example, you can't even play games on it anymore, or watch dvds/blurays on it, and I only found that out because I had a DVD someone wanted to watch 5+ years ago, so I tried to use it for that and it simply wouldn't work, so I pulled out the Wii instead and iirc watched it on that.
14:14 hehe, he has imagination I will give him that, "fast as lightning reflexes"...on a controller.
I contemplated just, not posting this monstrosity of a comment...props to anyone who actually read it.
33:43 Why would you even bring Netflix up? Netflix is accessible from literately everything. I almost guarantee if your TV is within the last few years, it has Netflix among other things built into the TV itself, you grab your remote, and swap to Netflix, you don't need a console OR PC for that.
Damn, that guy had no chance
sooo SEGA didn't make a console. uh
i had multiple problems with amd drivers switched to nvidia and had so far no issues in the year of ownership on amd i had issues almost monthly i think we can all agree amd is more frustrating on average then nvidia drivers. not saying nvidia is free of problems but the likely hood of issues being fixed faster and less critical issues with nvidia.
i have been luky the i have only needed to replace a gba because the d pad broke i could still play it but it was hard to push it down
This dude is full of it if pc breaks down I would just replace the part
well hey, YT keeps passing me small channels instead of big name 50k+ checkmarks Pog
down to see the growth! to having civil debates with console gamers (god we need those)
yea this gen and last gen were meh to me, my bro rushed to get last gen systems to only played his PS4 until it gave out to his X1 is a media box (haha get it) now their meh he has a PC, as do i i prefer PC as I wanna do editing, animation, coding, make a game (maybe i dunno) and other stuff.
Consoles ARE easier to repair. My man has never had a faulty GPU.
PCs are easier to replace though, which are two different things.
Can you replace a gpu in a console easily?
@@eggi.2108 bro did not think that reply through
@@MiyazakisPVPexperience Enlighten me then, if my graphicscard in my pc is broken, i can replace that part only. if the gpu in a console is broken, i would need to replace the whole thing or solder a new one onto it (good luck finding one). So how is it easier to repair a console?
@@eggi.2108 re-read my original comment, then I can roast you for replacing stuff instead of repairing them. I bet you buy them new too
@@MiyazakisPVPexperience Lmao, my point is that if a console breaks, you cant just go and buy replacements, you would need to have very advanced soldering skills and spare parts from another one. If my graphics card in my pc breaks, i could solder new parts on them but i could also just go and replace the whole part. If a ps5 cpu for example dies, i cant just buy a new cpu and drop it in and i would need to buy a whole new ps5. It is easier to replace/"repair" a pc
Now tell me how thats wrong
Funny, these claims about Sony game only PS feel aging very well... PC will get God Of WAr, Uncharted next year. Even sackboy is goming :)
why not just get what you like and play games?
I've always liked to play on console more than PC but since the Xbox one I've really grown to fucking hate the things i don't understand how some people actually debate what is better a platform that bans useless updates a new platform every 7 years a limited or a PC where you can just open a tab while playing a game always up to date with the current platform no input delay high frame rate without the game crashing can literally have nearly any game on it from the 90s to 2020 mods can use any controller the for me the reason why I don't like the new console cause its the same fucking thing the Xbox one atleast it keeps up to standard to this day and now there adding a pointless new platform the console is expensive af imo people can't get there hands on it and it's just to ahead of its time I see no point on buying a console over a PC BC your PC will always be on the same platform sure you might need to upgrade it to keep it up to standard but I've seen people build PC's that are over 10 years old that still keep up more than standard I just feel like you really haf to like atleast the Xbox to want one the PC is nearly better in every aspect possible than any console
I completely understand your opinion, and I agree to a degree. If someone wants a console because they're genuinely interested in one and not because they like the manufacturers or the company, it's a perfectly fine reason to buy one.
Best part about gaming is having options, which is why the console market exist.
Love ya
Love u to joe
The dumb diss at Apple users wasn’t needed,
It’s a god damn phone choice let people be
Sup
TLDR console bois argument. I don't need freedom, if there is choice it is too complicated for their brain.
Main reason PC is better, i can watch porn on a second monitor while i click heads in Valorant.
