Nice looking bike and OK for the money but will keep my Lectric 2.0, especially since I added the new 11-34 free wheel, dual batteries and able to hit 24 MPH throttle only and 28 to 29 PAS 5.
750W 20 AH and the term "budget" doesn't sound right to me. E bikes have come a long long way. You would have expected to pay $1500 for those specs a couple of yrs ago.
Did you know in most states it's illegal to modify or disengage the speed safety devices? If you were to do so and cause an accident, particularly one that injures another, you will be charged with felony reckless endangerment and probably sued for extensive damages. You have no liability Insurance, your homeowners won't cover it because you were negligent in disengaging safety protocols. You will lose everything and end up in prison. If you want to drive your bike off a cliff I guess that's your business, but don't take your viewers, many who are children, down with you.

Now I've looked at this law and how its worded (and they're similar or exact in many states) and one might argue an exception if the PAS kicks off at 28 but the throttle turns off at 20, but I'm not familiar with this bike, mine doesn't. And every single ebike I've seen on FB who has PAS to 28 have throttles that can move them even faster. At this point these Jeffrey's who think they outsmarted us all and manipulated their way to a class 3 ebike actually have a motorcycle. They're not even mopeds because those are limited to 30mph. CA says it plain and clear, any ebike motor that doesn't kick out at PAS 28mph or throttle at 20mph is by their definition a motorcycle. Look it up. So if you can throttle past 20mph you are now a motor cycle and have to meet all those requirements and laws including registration, plates, class 1 or 2 MO license, liability insurance not to mention all the equipment requirements on the bike itself. Did you wonder why all of a sudden many bikes now include front light, rear light, turn signals, horn, etc.? Am I the only one who picked up on this? It is obvious the manufacturers are preparing for their electric motor bikes to be classified as motorcycles in many states in the near future. I'd say 2-4 years. So they're moving in that direction

That’s sketchy, they are better off on class 1 e-bikes if under 15.

Probably around 50 miles

I'm 6-2 225 and I get to 24 and on pas5 I have hit 29mph.

All I did was change it from Class 2 to 3. Its perfectly legal! You should read up on ebike classifications.
