The costs of parts & repairs have been astronomical for decades, even before the computers. They have also required or highly recommend them to be loaded up & returned to dealers for repairs. I've had a couple of older ones over the years. I have a friend that graduated with a manufacturing engineering degree who told me that they teach now that nothing is designed to last or be repaired. It is designed to be more economical to replace than repair. I'm referring, in my previous comments, to a recent investigative report showing their DEI/ESG policies.

I quite my job at Harley six month ago they are having bikes built in Thialand shipping them back to the States and rebadging them made in the U.S.A and have the hide to charge more for them. Buying a Harley now is a crapshoot wether you really get an American-made bike, but from 2021 onward they are all made in Thialand in one way or another I will stick to my old Harley a real American.

However, Victory could not capture the legacy and emotion Harley-Davidson enjoys from its owners.
They flopped and Polaris discontinued the brand in 2017, after less than 20-years production. (HD's have been in continuous production in America since 1905!)
Polaris "solved" this problem by buying the Indian Motorcycle "badge" in 2011. Indian Motorcycles had ceased production in 1953! 71-years ago! Polaris motorcycles have zero relationship to the old Indians of yesteryear. Except for rip-off cosmetics. They thought that this Indian name would better compete with Harley-Davidson on an emotional level.

I quite my job at Harley six month ago they are having bikes built in Thialand shipping them back to the States and rebadging them made in the U.S.A and have the hide to charge more for them. Buying a Harley now is a crapshoot wether you really get an American-made bike, but from 2021 onward they are all made in Thialand in one way or another I will stick to my old Harley a real American.

Harley Davidson going woke? My husband has had a Harley since late 1960s. We went to a HD showroom a couple months ago and saw all these new bikes that dont even resemble a true Harley Davidson. He is now customizing his 2009 street glide to look like his original 1963 pan head he once had.
