You're absolutely correct, for many years I worked for a company that made parts for new stock Harleys. In 2003 they started importing all the parts from China and shipped them to Harley as Harley demanded.to lower costs. Our CEO got rich and so did Harley.

I've been to events where both are either empty or full. If harley is empty and so is Indian then it's only because of the time of day
Indian has interesting and unique bikes that people love to go have a look at so if both Harley and Indian are empty it must be due to the time of day because both are still popular booths. So if Indian is just as slow then it has to do with when this was filmed because there really isn't anyone on the street at this time of day. Maybe it's early morning before everyone really got active. I can tell you I've been to events where BOTH are busy so it Indian is quiet also it's simply due to the time of day

Hey Jack, me and my buddy were grateful to meet you at Sturgis. Thanks for the Picture. I was still there till the last day. I will tell you. Harley was packed up and leaving very early on the last day. Indian was doing test rides all day. On the last day. A lot of the guys riding Indians, were wearing Harley coats. I for one did not buy any Harley products at Sturgis. I also still to this day will not put a Butt Lite to my lips. Even if it’s offered to me. I stick to my guns. I do agree though. People were still buying Harley. Mostly clothing and accessories. Keep up the great work Jack

The Quartering wasn't suggesting people would go buy a new Harley and then take the badges off, he clearly said that, he said people are taking the badges off the Harleys that they already own, which is exactly what I have done. I won't buy another Harley until they get rid of this woke ass world economic forum leadership they have adopted. I bought my new Harley 2 months ago. I ain't giving it up. But I will not spend a dime at the dealership on merch. No more traveling to visit dealerships, buying shirts, buying shit to put in my garage. No more spending money on the brand.
Your dealerships, especially the family run ones could really be hurt by this. I would support a dealership before corporate Harley-Davidson. The dealerships could be staffed by your friends and neighbors just trying to go to work and earn a living.
@@jagjr6772 I support my local INDEPENDENT shops (where mechanics from a closed dealer can either join or compete with) where NONE of my money goes to HD. All money spent at the dealer means a cut to the rich (because of sales) executives ruining the brand. Independent shops supported bikers dealers would not serve, kept the vast fleet of older Harleys on the road, and are an intimate part of their communities moreso than many rich corporate franchise owners. Independent shops will work on your bike (assuming you keep it as I do mine) long after most dealers won't touch them and often shouldn't due to low familiarity with the classics that made the company. If you want to hand people money doing it directly is a whole lot more effective.

I bought my first Harley 4 years ago and they are not super young people bikes. I couldn’t have afforded one in my twenties. I love my bike, I love my wind therapy and I love drinking beer too! To me the HD brand is America to the core, regardless of who the goon is they have now as CEO. Continue to ride on, have a few cold ones with your riding buds and ride what you like.

I am by no means affiliated with any one brand and I do have my own motorcycle shop it really amazes me how young some of our customers are and who are riding Harleys. They probably can't afford to go to Sturgis, it is expensive to get there but give them a few years when they are more solid plus if you watch other videos you will see a lot of young people there riding Harleys. I am not trying to pick a fight here, just telling what I see from trying to make a living working on motorcycles. I will say in general our business has been falling off the past few years, I am sure some of it is the economy and some of it is people aren't riding like they were even 5 years ago. Let's all work to make motorcycles great again.

Rode HD for 43 years. My first HD was a 1963 Electra Glide. I will never buy another HD. I currently ride a BMW K1600B, which is much more fun than HD. My bike is 160HP stock, and rides well. My next bike will be a Honda Gold Wing.

You can't judge by the amount of Harleys there,most people are not riding newer HD's ,I have a 2014 Ultra and I can get aftermarket if need be. I will never spend 50 Grand on a Bike no matter who makes it !
These big corporations need to stay out of politics. Like BL Harley Davidson is an American icon and are suppored by mostly conservative blue collar workers. If someone wants to put a rainbow 🌈 on their Harley or their Bud light can then fine but a corporation should focus on providing a quality product at a reasonable price and neither has done that.

I doubt that Ford still had Model A parts available in 1960. The good thing is that there’s such a strong aftermarket for older HD bikes that will keep them running for a long time.

I think the general consensus is, most people feel disenfranchised by one of the most iconic American companies (yet again). As a Harley owner myself, I do not enjoy the fact that Harley is going full on DEI, focusing on "woke" initiatives, and pushing an agenda that their core customer base is not interested in (and in many cases are against). If Harley Davidson actually cared about the people they are trying to market towards, they would stay out of politics.. They should focus on building a strong community of motorcycle enthusiasts and future Harley riders, and producing motorcycles that people want to spend their hard earned money on.. nothing more nothing less.. Harley has been conquered by a non-American who doesnt really seem to care about the history and really the future of Harley Davidson. I was still there till the last day. I will tell you. Harley was packed up and leaving very early on the last day. Indian was doing test rides all day. On the last day. A lot of the guys riding Indians, were wearing Harley coats.

I've owned 5 Harleys. Two of them were new. This is just one of the many reasons I bought an Indian.

The Quartering wasn't suggesting people would go buy a new Harley and then take the badges off, he clearly said that, he said people are taking the badges off the Harleys that they already own, which is exactly what I have done. I won't buy another Harley until they get rid of this woke ass world economic forum leadership they have adopted. I'm currently looking at the new Indian models, and if I do decide to buy a new bike, it sure as hell won't be a Harley.

I bought my new Harley 2 months ago. I ain't giving it up. But I will not spend a dime at the dealership on merch. No more traveling to visit dealerships, buying shirts, buying shit to put in my garage. No more spending money on the brand.
Your dealerships, especially the family run ones could really be hurt by this. I would support a dealership before corporate Harley-Davidson. The dealerships could be staffed by your friends and neighbors just trying to go to work and earn a living.
@@jagjr6772 I support my local INDEPENDENT shops (where mechanics from a closed dealer can either join or compete with) where NONE of my money goes to HD. All money spent at the dealer means a cut to the rich (because of sales) executives ruining the brand. Independent shops supported bikers dealers would not serve, kept the vast fleet of older Harleys on the road, and are an intimate part of their communities moreso than many rich corporate franchise owners. Independent shops will work on your bike (assuming you keep it as I do mine) long after most dealers won't touch them and often shouldn't due to low familiarity with the classics that made the company. If you want to hand people money doing it directly is a whole lot more effective.
@@jagjr6772 A lot of the Mom and Pop independent dealers are gone. Most dealers are owned by a dealer franchise that own several dealerships. In my state 7 dealerships are owned by one company.

I bought my first Harley 4 years ago and they are not super young people bikes. I couldn’t have afforded one in my twenties. I love my bike, I love my wind therapy and I love drinking beer too! To me the HD brand is America to the core, regardless of who the goon is they have now as CEO. Continue to ride on, have a few cold ones with your riding buds and ride what you like.

I am by no means affiliated with any one brand and I do have my own motorcycle shop it really amazes me how young some of our customers are and who are riding Harleys. They probably can't afford to go to Sturgis, it is expensive to get there but give them a few years when they are more solid plus if you watch other videos you will see a lot of young people there riding Harleys. I am not trying to pick a fight here, just telling what I see from trying to make a living working on motorcycles. I will say in general our business has been falling off the past few years, I am sure some of it is the economy and some of it is people aren't riding like they were even 5 years ago. Let's all work to make motorcycles great again.

Rode HD for 43 years. My first HD was a 1963 Electra Glide. I will never buy another HD. I currently ride a BMW K1600B, which is much more fun than HD. My bike is 160HP stock, and rides well. My next bike will be a Honda Gold Wing.

You can't judge by the amount of Harleys there,most people are not riding newer HD's ,I have a 2014 Ultra and I can get aftermarket if need be. I will never spend 50 Grand on a Bike no matter who makes it !

These big corporations need to stay out of politics. Like BL Harley Davidson is an American icon and are suppored by mostly conservative blue collar workers. I doubt that Ford still had Model A parts available in 1960. The good thing is that there’s such a strong aftermarket for older HD bikes that will keep them running for a long time.

I think the general consensus is, most people feel disenfranchised by one of the most iconic American companies (yet again). As a Harley owner myself, I do not enjoy the fact that Harley is going full on DEI, focusing on "woke" initiatives, and pushing an agenda that their core customer base is not interested in (and in many cases are against). If Harley Davidson actually cared about the people they are trying to market towards, they would stay out of politics.. They should focus on building a strong community of motorcycle enthusiasts and future Harley riders, and producing motorcycles that people want to spend their hard earned money on.. nothing more nothing less.. Harley has been conquered by a non-American who doesnt really seem to care about the history and really the future of Harley Davidson. Sure, a small percentage may be onboard, however the majority of Harley riders do not want to see this, and I believe that it is a huge mistake for the company to be making. This is how you lose life long customers. I will not be supporting this company until they fix themselves.
Let’s keep it 100%, Harley pulled the rug out from under nearly every mom n pop dealership & closed them down. From there they gave our brothers & sisters in the aftermarket world the finger & said you can order a custom bike from the factory. Now for the ultimate kick in the balls. Corporate Harley dealers/service centers is all Harley wants. With that they’ve started refusing to service Harley’s over 20 years old.
