He is a gifted linguistic singer as well. Charlie is so talented, you can react to his latest 2 rock songs with live band from the programme "Let's Band". And his live performance on his 27th birthday (29 Sep 2019), he did nearly 3 hours of live performance for his fans. It was a great live show for all fans. He is a adorable singer with very good personality and humble and respects his teachers. His concert is coming in Nov 9 in Beijing and other 6 cities, we anticipate his performance by then. My English isn't good enough. This show is competition by the team(6 people), Shen Shen didn't win because the team didn't win. And this program is based on musicals and operas, he is a pop singer. In his own concert this month and last month, he showed his the other side to us, have a very different style of song.
The rules are complicated but generaly every week the best 6 principals (opera term for the solists) had to choose their partner/partners for the next week from the rest of 30 contestants. They had then to choose a song, do the arrangemtens and harmonies by themself so that they suit their voices. The quality of the show is absolutely amazing. If you like Zhou Shen you had to hear his duet with Wang Xi a bass - they desperately wanted to sing together as they have the exact same range - just octaves apart. By the way the eng subs are up for the whole show and its really even more interesting to see how the more stage experienced did everything to help the others (some of them are still students).

I love this Super Vocal show. I can't stop watching it! Yes, English subtitles are great, and we can finally understand what is going on. It really gives context to all the songs, duets, trios, as we understand the challenges and get to know all the singers and judges.
Thank you. I watched all 12 full episodes of Super Vocals with English subtitles. I discovered many things including the format of the show which had 36 participants who auditioned to become one of six principal singers (team leaders) or understudies. Principals and understudies changed during the competition. Unfortunately, Zhou Shen was an understudy. For this particular solo performance Zhou Shen did not have a prepared song and sang only what lyrics he could remember for Think of Me. Also, I learned that Zhou did not have confidence in his natural singing abilities opposed to his fellow competitors who had formal training. The pressure was tremendous for Zhou Shen to help win for his team, and although I personally loved every Zhou Shen performance, he could not bring a win to his team.

That show was cut so badly to try to catch public’s eyeballs. It mislead Zhou Shen’s education, mislead him like a crybaby which is not true. Zhou Shen is the most popular singer in China now. He released about 50 new songs in 2021, and he is as busy in 2022 also. Although Super Vocal's top six (the so-called "Winner") are also good, Zhou Shen has a unique voice that no one else has. Since he is a pop singer, he had commercial performances during the game, so he did not participate few episodes. Maybe this is one of the reasons why he can't get into the top six. I believe he was invited to participate in the competition, in order to attract more attention and make the show more people watch, this is a gimmick. I think even if he sings very well from the beginning, he won't win. In this show, those professional pop singers also can't enter into "top six". p.s. his phone mic was wrapped with a tissue.
