- hi friends!! :) welcome to my funky, spiral sweater crochet tutorial! it took me about 3 weeks to get this pattern right and i’m super happy with the results. i hope you guys love it too!!
i used about 3.5-4 skeins of the big twist and heartland yarn for this project

I made this for a friend because the colour yellow looks really good on them. THEY LOOK LIKE A BEE NOW AND WE BOTH LOVE IT

I’m currently making my own star sweater from your tutorial (finished the body, working on the sleeves!!) and as soon as i saw you posted this (which is right when i’m commenting 😭) i’m completely set to make it!! this looks incredible so far and i’m excited to watch the tut and make mine in probably red and black :) i’m a new follower and i love your tutorials and work so far 🫶🏽🫶🏽

work wise, the total days i was working on it was a week and a half. sewing it all together is going to be the longest and hardest part because it has to be very secure.

Hi, I know that this supposed to be “beginner friendly” but it would be so much easier for those of us older beginners, if you would confirm a count or give us a little longer to see your work to check ours with it. Your hands move quickly, next thing…it’s gone. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m trying to make this for a granddaughter. I know that she will love it!
Try clicking the cog icon on the video and changing the playback speed to 0.75 or 0.5. I do this a lot when tutorials move too fast for me! Good luck with the sweater, I bet your granddaughter will really like it :)

Hey, how did you had 10 treble crochet in the square part in the end of the purple yarn, I'm getting 9😭
I did mine without blocking (since I don’t own blocking mats 😵💫) and it totally worked out well without blocking! I used 100% acrylic yarn so it’s very soft and didn’t need blocking that badly and it turned out really cute!
I'm so glad I saw this comment cause I don't have blocking mats either 😭

I don’t have any blocking mats either. I just use a steamer while it’s hanging on a hanger and it works perfectly!

Oh how nice. Lol, I have been using the bobby pins for years as my stitch markers. Cheap and easy to use. Nice to see that someone else uses them too. Thanks for sharing this pattern. I have been wanting to learn how to make something other than just blankets

Pretty cool! I have so many partial balls in my stash from the charity crocheting season...I think I might make this with a black swirl and use my stash as an accent swirl. I'd love to try this. Although all those ends for the sleeves I'm thinking of doing two rows of single crochets for each colour and just picking up the next colour at the end of the second row each time so that way there are no ends to weave in 💜

I LOVE THIS PATTERN SO MUCHH!!! I made it in brown and red and I wear it whenever it’s cold enough (the struggles of living in Australia lol) it took me a second to get the start, but once I did, I really got the hang of it! It’s also really quick to finish, which is good for me cause I have a REALLY short attention span lmao. Again, Thanks so much for making this!!!!

I just finished spirals, starting to work them to squares and I used one of each colour, and i have still a bit left. So I assume its goint to be about 4 yarns in total.

I love this sweater. The tutorial is great. I have to start and stop a lot though. I was wondering if there is a written pattern for free or purchase? I find it easier to put down and pick up crocheting if I have a printed pattern I can mark off where I'm at.

i was wondering the same thing. I think the spiral before you add the square shape should be big enough to fit across the chest. that’s just my guess tho.
